We performed a comparison between Barracuda Email Protection and Veritas Enterprise Vault.cloud based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out in this report how the two Email Archiving solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."We now have a secondary backup of Office 365 that's much easier to retrieve compared to Microsoft. If someone deletes something in Office 365, we can get it back within Office 365, but it's difficult. Barracuda is much easier. There is a lot less management needed using Barracuda. The management becomes much easier for Office 365 and it's no longer on-prem, so there are fewer hours managing on-prem devices, servers, and things of that nature. We don't have network appliances anymore for the backup of our information."
"The most valuable features of Barracuda Email Protection are flexibility and customization."
"When we got the service, it included the email archiver with unlimited storage."
"The product is easy to deploy and maintain."
"The solution is straightforward to set up."
"I'm quite satisfied with the graphical user interface for Barracuda products."
"The most valuable aspect includes attempts to spoof or compromise domains from external sources."
"The best feature of Barracuda Email Protection is that it provides protection for Microsoft 365."
"The tool streamlines data discovery processes for compliance by setting up a gateway to copy every incoming and outgoing email to the archive independently of the mailbox. This ensures that even if a user deletes their mailbox, the emails are still available in the archive, making it a compliant solution for monitoring all incoming and outgoing emails. Additionally, it offers the ability to place legal holds on important emails."
"The initial setup is pretty straightforward."
"The solution's reporting mechanism is a little poor and could be improved."
"Sometimes it is somewhat laggy, especially on the Archiver side. It should have improved performance on their Message Archiver."
"There is room for improvement, particularly in reaching out to technical support during deployment."
"I would like to see better integration with other products."
"I would like to see some additional functionality in terms of employee monitoring, as part of a work-from-home security solution."
"The platform's pricing needs improvement."
"The policies are set up in Barracuda by default; we don't have any control over them."
"The solution's graphical user interface (GUI) could be improved visually."
"The tool has had some scalability issues, but now that it's offered as a cloud service, it's easier to manage. However, setting it up isn't as straightforward as it used to be, and there may be limitations with the support provided during setup and testing. Also, the quality of support has declined in the past year."
"Technical support could be better."
