Professional services boost confidence but pricing and user-friendliness need attention
We have multiple solutions such as SimpliVity, Nutanix, and DXRail, which are all part of our Ansible-based system. It gives us more confidence and we can control our groups effectively. The solution is not particularly user-friendly for novice administrators, making it challenging to understand certain aspects. Templates are not readily available, requiring users to build their own worksheets and everything from scratch. This is a main decentralization we observe compared to VMware. We have tested various solutions including Rancher, RHEL, Canonical from SUSE, and the bare metal version from RHEL direct. Since pricing is not a major concern, we chose the best fit for our application, which was specifically designed for this particular platform.

Boosts security by automatically blocking applications or activities, but query responses have been slower recently
For the past six months, we have been facing some issues. Because it is a cloud-based infrastructure, it has been getting slower. There are no bugs because they release updates continuously. We highly appreciate that, but during hunting or running a query on different logs, the time frame has increased in the past six months. It takes longer to give us the results. Another issue is the lack of proper documentation. During investigations, there is no proper documentation available. This is a problem because many people are saying there should be proper documentation explaining what CrowdStrike captures from the machine and the meaning of it.

Cons

"AKS has the potential to enhance pricing by enabling us to explore ways to increase cost transparency. However, it's important to note that this refers to computation costs rather than client costs. Our objective is to optimize efficiency and minimize unnecessary expenses. Therefore, we aim to identify which services within the platform can benefit from improved consumption patterns. This is the focus of our ongoing research, with the goal of maximizing computational power within the cluster. We aim to avoid situations where resources are reserved but not utilized effectively. Additionally, our strong emphasis on security ensures that we adhere to all relevant compliance standards, bolstering our overall trustworthiness."
"The solution's logs have room for improvement."
"The solution should improve its UI and cost."
"The application firewall is lacking some features and there is room for enhancement."
"I am not impressed with the support services from Microsoft yet."
"This is a fairly expensive solution, which can make it prohibitive for smaller organizations."
"The costs are rising rapidly, and we have not seen any cost reductions by moving to Azure."
"The engineering team can reduce the management of the platform itself by improving the data plane part of the system to upload more management."
"The CrowdStrike dashboard currently lacks a username field."
"The SIEM needs to be more developed."
"The CrowdStrike partner portal documentation could be improved to provide proper instructions for integrating their products."
"The pricing is very high and should be improved."
"The only challenge lies in token verification."
"The tool could give us more templates so that people who are not updated with the platform can easily get acquainted with how to secure and utilize the product more."
"It would be more convenient if there was an easier way to install CrowdStrike, perhaps through better integration with Active Directory."
"The tool is expensive."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"We could spend as little as $25 or $30 a month on Kubernetes Services, compared to the typical $100 a month expenditure for a virtual machine."
"The cost of the solution is extremely high. Both Amazon and Azure cost extremely high. Given the basic features like when they are coming over the cluster nodes, we think over ten times before giving the solution to clients. No matter how many offerings the solution provides, it becomes so much of a burden that you are not even getting back your invested money from customers."
"Azure Kubernetes Service offers a pay-as-you-go licensing model."
"As you scale your operations, AKS becomes more cost-effective."
"It is an expensive solution."
"The pricing of the solution is dependent on the choice of virtual machines, specifically the amount of memory required. There are various options available, ranging from around twenty-five to even more choices to select from. This flexibility allows you to customize the pricing based on your specific needs. From my perspective, virtual machines in the cloud tend to be slightly more expensive compared to virtual machines offered directly by data centers. However, this cost is offset by the benefits of a managed service. Taking the overall picture into account, the managed service approach is advantageous. The pricing for the platform can vary, typically ranging from three hundred euros per month to two thousand euros per month, depending on the specific requirements and setup you choose."
"It is not expensive."
"The pricing of the solution is same as Azure Stack."
"It is expensive, but it adds value."
"It's an expensive product"
"I am not the one who handled the pricing. A different team worked on it, but it is pretty expensive."
"The pricing is reasonable, neither overly expensive nor excessively cheap, making it competitive compared to other market options."
"The price is not too high, it is okay."
"The pricing is fair for what you get. I'd rate them a solid nine out of ten in terms of pricing."
"CrowdStrike Falcon is very expensive."
"CrowdStrike Falcon Cloud Security is very expensive for us. Last month, we had a big issue that took much time and money to resolve. It slowed down our business and required our management team to get involved. We had a problem similar to the "Blue Screen of Death" issue many US companies faced. This incident used up many of our IT resources in just a few months. That's why we're looking for a replacement tool now."
