Fraud prevention has improved and security strengthens while monitoring and CI workflows still need work
Anyscale Platform provides top features including AI and ML workflows which are reliable and scalable, along with management capabilities. The integration with services like AWS and GCP is beneficial, and we also have a built-in monitor. The monitoring feature of Anyscale Platform, particularly the metrics dashboard, stands out because it shows GPU memory usage and visualizations that simplify our experience with the entire dashboard along with a well-prepared debugging and logging system. Since adopting Anyscale Platform, we have observed a drastic improvement in overall security, and it is cost-efficient. The performance and productivity boost have led to a reduction in the number of people needed for operations, and scalability has also improved significantly.

Have prioritized security while managing multi-agent data migration and cloud adoption
We utilize Time Travel with Snowflake because this is a very useful feature. Everyone finds it crucial because in conventional data platforms, it's very difficult to handle these kinds of things. This feature is essential, though I don't have the use cases currently; it is just there for implementation. Regarding Snowflake's automated scaling and suspension features, this auto-scaling is very significant. We had a comparison with Databricks and Snowflake a few months back, and this auto-scaling takes an edge within Snowflake; that's what our observation reflects.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Since adopting Anyscale Platform, we have observed a drastic improvement in overall security, and it is cost-efficient."
"The distributed architecture of Snowflake has the capacity to process huge datasets faster and allows us to scale up and down according to our needs."
"The cloning functionality has been the most valuable. I have been able to completely copy databases. The data sharing concept is also useful. As compared to, for example, SAP, Snowflake is a lot more open, and it allows a lot more connectivity for other providers than an SAP ecosystem."
"The solution is extremely user-friendly and easy to navigate, the user experience is very good, and the product is overall quite inexpensive and very cheap to use."
"Can be leveraged with respect to better performance, auto tuning and competition."
"The overall ecosystem was easy to manage. Given that we weren't a very highly technical group, it was preferable to other things we looked at because it could do all of the cloud tunings. It can tune your data warehouse to an appropriate size for controlled billing, resume and sleep functions, and all such things. It was much more simple than doing native Azure or AWS development. It was stable, and their support was also perfect. It was also very easy to deploy. It was one of those rare times where they did exactly what they said they could do."
"Snowflake is the latest technology, it has great flexibility whenever we are loading data and performs ELT (extract, load, transform) techniques instead of ETL."
"Snowflake has positively impacted us by making everything cloud-native, significantly reducing the systems and application running process."
"Snowflake on cloud is the best right now."

Cons

"Anyscale Platform sometimes lags and there is no response, which happens rarely but is noted."
"Snowflake could improve migration. It should be made easier. It would be beneficial if it could offer some OLTP features. One of our customers was using Oracle for both data warehousing and OLTP workloads, and they were able to migrate their data warehousing workloads to Snowflake without major issues. However, for some of their OLTP requirements, such as needing a response time of fewer than 10 milliseconds for certain queries, Snowflake is currently unable to provide that."
"I see room for improvement when it comes to credit performance. The other thing I'd like to be improved is the warehouse facility."
"Snowflake has support for stored procedures, but it is not that powerful."
"Their UiPath, the workspace area, needs some work."
"One thing which I believe Snowflake needs to improve is related to product activation queries."
"I would like to see a client version of the GUI."
"Its stability could be better."
"Getting data out of the tool to third-party applications is difficult."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"Snowflake has consumption-based costs; users only pay for storage and computing."
"Snowflake is cost-effective."
"Part of the problem with the pricing is that it is very difficult for businesses to get an idea of how expensive it might be until they actually start using Snowflake."
"You pay based on the data that you are storing in the data warehouse and there are no maintenance costs."
"The solution is expensive but worth the cost because the quality is there."
"Oracle is less expensive than Snowflake."
"You need to be aware of the bloating costs. It is easy to use, but if you don't use it wisely, then your monthly bill can bloat a lot. You need to be a bit aware of its consumption cost."
"There is a separation of storage and compute, so you only pay for what you use."
