Cx Product Manager at a comms service provider with 10,001+ employees
We wanted to integrate with our internal system for instant translations, and we were not able to do that, along with a couple of other things that illustrate that it is kind of an isolated system to itself, making it pretty hard to tap into and grow even further.
Program Manager at a tech vendor with 10,001+ employees
Compared to challengers such as Zoom, which seem more cost-effective, NICE CXone's suite of products is very modular, so as they provide new services, you have to add to your existing package and this balloons your costs since there's an additional license needed to use the new tools, leading to potentially higher out-of-pocket expenses.
Operations Manager at a financial services firm with 11-50 employees

Setup Cost

Amplitude's high pricing and complex billing for larger data volumes cause challenges and lengthy negotiations for users.
NICE CXone's contract-based pricing may seem piecemeal, with third-party seller influence affecting customer perceptions of expenses.
Pricing is often egregiously high, and the company has changed billing models on us once already.

Collaboration was a significant part. What improves collaboration is the self-serve functionality, which was a big deal for PMs to have access to just that data and also the base layer of how that data is structured, which connects to clicks that every report refers to.

Empowers teams to build visualization-rich reports and make faster decisions using historical user behavior data
I think areas for Amplitude's improvement include data retention. The maximum data I have worked with, the clickstream data on Amplitude, is two years, whereas we rely on Tableau for historical data of at least two years. I am not sure whether it was my organization paying for lower retention or not, but having historical data would take away the reliance on Tableau. Secondly, reconciling clickstream data with Databricks or other AWS systems could help analysts spend less time verifying the accuracy of both sources, which would be really helpful. Lastly, a more focused approach on error logs is necessary. I have found that, at least with Intuit, we used Splunk more for error logs than Amplitude. Although Amplitude had the capability, developers seemed to prefer Splunk, so if that could be improved, it would be good.

Crowdsourced knowledge has grown into a trusted customer hub and now supports richer adoption journeys
One inconvenience is that because we are crowdsourced, we have hundreds of contributors every year, with most people only submitting one article, maybe two, so it does not make sense to pay for licenses for all of those people. This leads to some intermediary manual copy-paste processes because we just cannot have everybody working in the system itself, making it a little bit problematic for maintaining a source of truth. The main issues with NICE CXone are the lack of ability to integrate with some internal things that we want to do; it has to do with the way the system is designed, which is complex. We wanted to integrate with our internal system for instant translations, and we were not able to do that, along with a couple of other things that illustrate that it is kind of an isolated system to itself, making it pretty hard to tap into and grow even further. There are a couple of little issues with reporting that have not been very good, but really, the system is very functional.
