We performed a comparison between AgileCraft and Jira based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out what your peers are saying about Microsoft, Atlassian, Nutanix and others in Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) Suites."The linking of PI Objectives with different features was one of the cool things. It had features, epics, and stories out of the box."
"The customization and tailoring of the workflows have proven to be very useful."
"I have found Jira to be stable."
"The links between tickets are very valuable and the boards I found to be configurable and usable. The boards allow some level of extended configuration and they can be customized according to our project needs. Additionally, it is easy to use."
"It's an open-sourced product that is easy to customize."
"The layout, workflow, automation, and metrics are helpful in Jira."
"It's really smart how they connected third-party vendors into their own marketplace. You can create and add apps. Anybody can do it."
"I think one of the most powerful features in Jira is the customization of fields and workflow."
"In terms of scrum teams, I find that usually, the product backlog depends on charts and especially reports like Sprint Reports. I find the reports to be very useful."
"It should just have the integration with Jira. We haven't looked at it since Atlassian bought the product."
"The history with Jira is that it is a bit complex for many users."
"The plugin management needs a lot of work."
"The permissions can be challenging to get right."
"The pricing is quite high."
"I would like to see test execution modules."
"The reporting needs to be improved."
"I would like our clients' IT group to be able to have oversight without setting up agents. We're managing tickets, and I'd like their IT group to see everything we're doing without having to set them up as agents. There should be a better way of managing their users. I've got such requests, but Jira is expensive, and it is difficult to pay an agent fee for somebody else to view these tickets. Currently, the only way in which I can do that is by setting a user up as an agent, and it becomes cost-prohibitive. They need to do a better job on ticket viewers."
"There's a really steep learning curve for configuration."

Agree with Duane's comments for the most part. The two tools serve very different purposes. Where I disagree a bit is that Jira can be and is used by very large organizations to manage work. However Jira does not provide support for working across a set of related projects and services. This is what Agile Craft allows you do to - plus AC brings other capabilities like value stream management, a greater level of portfolio and business management, and management of delivery across a large set of programs.
It will definitely be interesting to see where Atlassian takes things.
