We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The most valuable feature is that you can do a bare-metal restore even with dissimilar hardware.""For local backups, it has options to back up almost any storage. The back can be either a shared folder or anything you want, it's pretty flexible.""One of the features I have found most valuable is the restore point - it gives us what we need at the time we need it. The important thing is that the backup for Acronis doesn't depend as much on the device.""Acronis Backup is easy to use.""It has simple buying options and deployments. You can buy on-cloud, on-premises, or hybrid solutions. Acronis Backup is very easy to deploy. It also does not consume much hardware. The administrator's tasks are very simple. It is very user friendly, and it also has good security features with low-level encryption and data encryption.""Some of the most valuable features are recovery, protection against malware, and software management. I am happy with the dashboards and user interface.""The administration is pretty flexible in terms of defining a multi-tenant type of setup.""Acronis is a flexible solution. It can back up workstations, endpoints, and even your virtual environments and cloud-based environments. So, we can do the backup of the whole gamut of products."

"It serves its intended purpose and it works well.""What I like most about this solution are the simplicity and the price-performance ratio.""The main feature for Veeam is that it's built primarily for virtualization, such as VMware or Hyper-V.""With regard to our operational requirements, Veeam is very good because it's so user-friendly.""Integration with various applications, such as on-premises laptops and desktop backups, as well as applications and databases, is excellent.""If you have a lot of central sites and remote sites, you can easily set up the replication and make it easier.""I can't think of any improvements yet for Veeam because they are very good. It integrates very well with Microsoft applications. It is very easy to integrate. Micro Focus can also integrate but it's more complex. You have to know the product very well to be able to integrate. While Veeam, it's very user-friendly. You don't need to have certifications or anything to work on Veeam.""My customers find the backup and recovery ease of use is the most beneficial feature."

Cons
"When I first started using Acronis, I found it a little bit confusing when it came to the configuration.""The product would be better if they offered more integration capabilities.""It supports Microsoft SQL and Microsoft Exchange, but it does not support Oracle databases or Postgres.""The backing up of virtual machines in VMware and Nutanix needs better integration and the performance of the solution needs improvement.""The problems that we face are often related to the customer's network, although sometimes there are problems with the software, such as an error in the configuration.""It would be nice to have a partition that I can boot and reinstall when taking a backup image from the operating system.""They can include something called a backup appliance. Although Acronis is a software-driven company, it would be good for customers to have some kind of backup appliance on top of a lightweight operating system. This will also reduce the cost. Currently, the customers have to buy the hardware in addition to the operating system, which increases the overhead in terms of procurement.""The solution could improve by providing more database backup features and have better integration with many different types of databases. We cannot implement it in all of our infrastructures."

"It's a great product, but only if you have everything virtualized.""The Veeam portal should be better integrated with all the parts of the new release. But there's always a workaround to replicate the new solution. I'd like to have better integration with other solutions like SAP.""Veeam currently lacks features for backing up to network-attached storage. Veeam Backup & Replication agents do not support S3 storage. Only Veeam Backup & Replication server supports S3 storage.""During the initial setup especially, there's a bit of a learning curve.""The Veeam backup application interface is application-based and not web-based.""The price can be better.""They fixed everything that I was hoping for. It is pretty good. There were a few things in 9.x that I was wishing for, and they came true in version 10. We were looking for retention without having to make a copy job. We're getting ready to migrate m365 to the cloud. I haven't dived into it to make sure, but I wish the m365 backup would integrate into the current console so that we don't have to use two different consoles.""I think Veeam needs to improve the file installation process, as well as more technical things like snapping feature issues. Sometimes during backup, when it's taking the scan snaps on the ESXi, it started and didn't remove the snapshot from there, which consumed storage on the EXSi. It could be improved with more technical depth. The response time for Veeam's technical support could also be improved."
