I can say the stability of Veeam Data Platform is almost 8 to 9, as the cluster functionality was not there in earlier platforms such as version 12, but is provided in version 13.

Acronis Cyber Protect could improve user interface, installation, compatibility, performance, support, pricing, and integration for enhanced functionality.

Veeam Data Platform needs better integration, speed, support, flexibility, and affordability to meet user demands for large environments.

Comparison between Acronis, Veeam and Azure?

This comparison is going to be short and sweet. Azure is ok but if you use Azure hot or cold storage, be aware that the cost could be a killer DimenXional Currently uses VEEAM because the cloud appliances we purchased came with a VEEAM license. The product is easy to use but here again, they are less expensive solutions. I tried Acronis and the problems we had were all based on internet speeds. The initial backup of a 1TB drive took several days. That is just too long I can tell you that DimenXional will be offering a BaaS and DRaaS later this summer. Its called WatchDog-BaaS and WatchDog-DRaaS. We will be using Wasabi hot and cold storage which is 80% less expensive than Azure, AWS, Rackspace, and lots of others. WatchDog-BaaS is being built to go toe to toe with Carbonite on local workstations/laptops/etc, as their interface is ugly and the product support is nasty WatchDog-DRaaS is our Virtual offering.

The features of Acronis Cyber Protect that I find most useful for my customers are the Vault, data protection, and the ability to protect and access data anytime with the Vault feature. The AI-based antimalware feature in Acronis Cyber Protect is very effective in preventing cyber threats. AI is a good asset in protecting cybersecurity because it provides inception into threats and how to react with them before securing. It is very important and a great asset as a feature. The biggest benefit of Acronis Cyber Protect for my customers is that it is a great asset to protect business data and ensure data is in a secure Vault. Users can gain access to their data anytime. My future work will require mobility, so cloud-based access to data will be very beneficial.

Backup operations have become reliable and reporting now simplifies hybrid cloud protection

Veeam Data Platform has Veeam Enterprise Manager as well as Veeam ONE as valuable features, which allow us to generate various kinds of reports that are required for the customer. Instant VM Recovery is a good feature of the high-speed recovery features in Veeam Data Platform, and Continuous Data Protection (CDP) is also a good feature. Ransomware protection is a good feature added in Veeam Data Platform from version 12 onwards, and the ability to create immutable repositories is also a good feature in Veeam. The analytics part of Veeam Data Platform is a good solution because I have worked on various backup technologies such as EMC NetWorker and NetBackup. However, I have not used the analytical parts currently but will check it out. Streamlining processes as well as saving money are benefits that Veeam Data Platform provides for the end user, as it allows for application-aware backups and database backups without the need for various kinds of licenses that other backup software requires. Veeam offers socket-based licenses, instance-based licenses, and capacity-based licenses, which is a great feature.
