Appgate SDP significantly strengthens security posture by providing granular control over access to internal resources and effectively stopping lateral movement across networks. It is highly flexible, scalable, and excels in micro-segmentation and VPN solutions. However, challenges include difficulties managing access to multiple applications, a lack of true non-split tunnel VPN, and complexity in making cloud changes. Reporting features and documentation could be improved for better insights and support.
