The features I have found to be most valuable with NetApp BlueXP include easy control of workflow orchestration and automation, as well as making access control across the hybrid and multi-cloud architecture.
NetApp BlueXP has improved my organization overall by using artificial intelligence; it automatically scans, analyzes, and characterizes data across various types of workloads, and it is helping my business identify personally sensitive information across my data lake.
In terms of areas where NetApp BlueXP can be improved, I focus on privacy and governance.
What I mean by this is that personally sensitive information in the interface needs to be encrypted, which is called privacy. As per the governance policy, that is for data security governance policy, it also needs to have a specific policy on how this data has been categorized.
If I had the opportunity to add a feature or function to NetApp BlueXP, I would ensure that privacy and governance are taken care of properly.

My advice to someone that is interested in using NetApp BlueXP is that if you want to manage all your storage and data assets from a single interface, you should consider this solution. I would give this product an overall rating of 9 out of 10.
The purpose of the product is for storage. We are using it regularly.
The best features for Pure are user-friendly GUI and fast performance, bandwidth-wise and high-load VMWare and critical databases, which will suit for EverPure. Performance tuning and performance optimization have been very useful in my experience. Regarding advanced backup strategies, we are using Cohesity as a backup tool. On the DR cluster side, snapshots and everything are possible in Pure, so we are using snapshot technology to preserve backups and DR replications.
Improvement-wise, they are releasing patches every six months, and as of now, my understanding is that it is good. They are enhancing their product's user-friendly GUI each time, so if we think it should be better, it is enhanced in the next quarter or something six months later. The product is pretty much good.
My thoughts on pricing are that it is expensive.
I have been using this product for three years. Approximately, we are about three to four years as users of the product.

NetApp BlueXP is in the market standard as of now; NAS-wise, NetApp is pretty much good, while SAN, FC side, Pure is good.
All Pure products are very much compatible with cloud providers like AWS, Azure, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud, maintaining a high level of compatibility-wise and security-wise, and are very much advanced and very useful. I definitely will recommend this product because if you have high-performance databases, critical production databases, and heavy vCenter's workload, then it should be the best option. My main use case for NetApp BlueXP is cloud storage management, backup, and disaster recovery, and it is very easy to manage the persistent storage that runs on Kubernetes or OpenShift. Data migration is also a typical use case for our organization.
In some of our Amazon Kubernetes clusters, NetApp BlueXP helps us take backups, including application backup and application manifest backup. If anything fails, we can automatically restore since we have already scheduled the cron job using it, storing the backup for recovery. Additionally, it is very helpful for data migrations, allowing us to move data from cloud to cloud or from bare metal to cloud easily.
The best features NetApp BlueXP offers, in my experience, include a single dashboard for every operation, which helps reduce manual work. It has a great dashboard with better visibility and works across multiple clouds, whether in a hybrid or multiple cloud environments.
The dashboard helps my team day-to-day by providing a very easy-to-use UI that is not too complex. We can easily add cloud details, create buckets, and manage all the information for backup. The operations are GUI-based, making it very helpful for configuring these tasks without using complex CLI commands.

My main use cases for NetApp BlueXP are centralized management of storage and data services across hybrid and multi-cloud environments, which help manage, protect, and move data across on-premise systems and public clouds such as AWS, Azure, or GCP from one place. A typical daily scenario looks like this: Morning check involves opening the NetApp BlueXP dashboard for storage health across clusters, capacity usage trends, and any replication or backup issues. For data protection, I verify backup jobs ran successfully overnight and check replication status between on-premise storage to cloud backup, cloud region, and disaster recovery sites. For provisioning storage, when a team requests new storage for an application, I can use NetApp BlueXP to create a new volume in AWS or on an on-premise NetApp system, apply policies, encryption, backup, and retention, and assign access permissions.

There is a need for more actionable insight, as NetApp BlueXP shows a lot of data but sometimes stops at observations; it should be more able to suggest 'move this data to cloud storage' instead of just stating underutilization.
A unified business impact perspective is missing, as today, it is very infrastructure-focused without clearly mapping storage usage to business impact.
Faster troubleshooting correlations are also needed; when something breaks such as replication lag or backup failure, the current challenge is still needing to jump into logs or multiple views. NetApp BlueXP is a good solution because we did not have another solution for CVO administration. I like NetApp BlueXP; it is good. I am using the unified visibility feature. NetApp BlueXP helps with managing compliance and security policies. For all of NetApp BlueXP, I think nine in general. I like that I worked with NetApp interface before, and NetApp BlueXP is almost the same. It is really good.
It is not easy to integrate with Google because if we have some problems, we must talk with Google and NetApp support. However, they do not speak with each other, so I must explain the same problem to Google and then explain the same problem to NetApp support.
The only challenge I faced when deploying it was deploying agents in NetApp BlueXP. The problem was that we had no documentation about deployment.
They could improve their response time, as it is too long. It could also be expensive to scale to a large scale.
I have not implemented advanced data backup strategies; this is not for backup. I do not use AI here; we do not use AI analytics. The reason I am not using it is that we do not need it. We do not use automated data tiering from the S.
For the data integration part, we are working with Google. The only downside regarding integration with Google is that it is quite complex when I have to explain the same issue twice.
I would rate NetApp BlueXP's help with managing compliance and security policies at eight for the visibility feature only. I rate it eight because if you do not use this instrument for administration early, it is difficult.

We use BlueXP to manage the data in our two data centers and on the cloud.
The primary benefit is that it simplifies data management. We face a lot of classification issues with our customers. They need to classify data, but they don't know how to do it. We can help them do it using BlueXP Datasense.
The data migration tools are excellent. Once you have clusters in Blue XP, everything is easy. It's perfect for the guys in our office who don't understand storage as much because they don't need to go into system manager. They can use BlueXP to drag and drop things instead of configuring things the old way. It's a great graphical difference. BlueXP offers a unified control panel that does just about everything we need right now. Everything is integrated so well.
The VMware capabilities can be improved.
We have used BlueXP since it came out a year ago, but we previously used it when it was called Cloud Manager.
The stability is acceptable. I've never had an issue with it. The performance depends on where you install it. We primarily install it locally. Most people use on-prem NetApp, so the performance comes down to their box.
We provide level one and two support for NetApp to our clients in New Zealand. We only deal with the vendor when it gets to level three.

In the cloud, I can just provision it, so it's simple. On-site, I can spin up a Linux VM and install Linux in half an hour.
We see a return from having the ability to do things very quickly. We can work faster by dragging and dropping things around instead of using the command line or the standard system manager GUI. We had a customer who didn't know that it could migrate from the ONTAP solution we had in New Zealand to San Francisco. He's now doing that.
BlueXP itself is free. For other things, it comes down to how much you're willing to spend on things like Cloud DataSense. If somebody sees the value in it, they'll buy it. We struggle in New Zealand trying to sell these features to people.
