My main use case for Ivanti Neurons for UEM includes several use cases that depend on the team level where I am leading and the period. One example is device provisioning, where we're trying to implement a sort of touchless deployment using Autopilot and Apple Business Manager. Another use case is patch management for deploying Windows updates, OS updates, and rollouts. Additionally, I focus on software inventory to track installed applications and license usage, compliance management to enforce encryption, password, firewall, and security configuration, as well as asset management for maintaining real-time inventory. We have more than 20 different use cases for this tool.
One typical example of how I use Ivanti Neurons for UEM in my daily work is during the onboarding of a new employee. For instance, when an engineer in a country is hired, we receive a Windows laptop directly from the manufacturer, and when they turn it on and connect to the internet, Windows Autopilot enrolls the device into Ivanti Neurons for UEM automatically. Ivanti Neurons for UEM applies various security policies, such as defender and password rules, installs all required applications such as MS 365, Teams, and Slack, and configures the Wi-Fi and VPN profiler while verifying compliance before granting access to corporate resources.
This onboarding example is just one scenario; as I mentioned before, we have more than 20 different use cases. On a scale of one to ten, I would rate Ivanti Neurons for UEM an eight.

We improve IT processes, significantly reducing workload through automated provisioning and policy enforcement, which decreases manual work by approximately 45%. I believe we've also enhanced our security, although I don't have exact percentages. Operationally, we establish standardized processes that globally reduce configuration drift and user experience inconsistencies, which overall helps reduce operational overhead, improves endpoint security and compliance, and provides a more consistent experience for both IT administrators and end users.

Before using Ivanti Neurons for UEM, every new laptop required an administrator to manually install 10 to 12 or more business applications and configure VPN, Wi-Fi, and security policies, taking up to five hours per device. What is most valuable?
The best features Ivanti Neurons for UEM offers are definitely related to having one console to manage various operating systems such as Windows, macOS, and iOS, which allows for holistic control. I would say another standout feature is its simple and user-friendly single policy engine that enables us to create compliance and security policies applied to different devices easily. Good remote device management is another feature, as it allows us to remotely perform typical actions such as restart and sync, and lastly, the automation and self-healing capabilities support issue detection and workflow triggers, significantly reducing manual tasks.
Managing multiple device types through the unified interface of Ivanti Neurons for UEM definitely makes life easier for our colleagues, and we calculate it simplified around 30% of their work. This means employees can focus on different tasks and perform efficiently with a very friendly interface in the tool, resulting in high satisfaction overall.
What needs improvement?
In terms of how Ivanti Neurons for UEM can be improved, I think there's potential for automation of some repetitive tasks. The device provisioning process has already become very close to zero-touch, but the patch deployment is still scheduled and policy-driven. As a result, I believe we can reduce endpoint administration further. I also think the number of integrations and the scalability of the tool can be improved, along with customer service, as we've encountered some issues in certain countries.
Regarding the needed improvements, particularly concerning integrations or customer service challenges, we have had problems with integration with some third-party tools requiring additional configuration and testing. Occasionally, we also experienced delays between systems, particularly with user group changes and device compliance updates.
The accuracy and reliability of output from Ivanti's AI can be improved. We notice that the AI-driven insights are useful, but there are anomalies and some false positives. Since we are still in a validation period, I cannot provide a definitive mark, but I believe that accuracy should be enhanced, especially for more complex and environment-specific issues where human intervention is still needed.

I have been using Ivanti Neurons for UEM for more than one year and a half.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
I chose an eight for my rating because the tool is pretty stable, and we are satisfied with its performance. It delivers very good UEM capabilities, but as I mentioned earlier, support and some complex issues can take time to resolve, while integrations require considerable effort to configure and expand. These factors keep me from giving it a perfect score of 10.

We start with a pilot program involving about 300 users across IT and other business units before expanding globally. We integrate it with several Windows applications as well as with Apple and Android. During the initial setup, devices are enrolled, receive security policies, applications, and network configuration automatically.
What about the implementation team?

We use it to enforce policies such as role-based access control and restrict certain administrator permissions. We manage certifications, BitLocker, and file vault encryption while maintaining audit logs for administrative actions, which meet our corporate standards effectively.

Ivanti's unified platform for IT and security operations has helped streamline processes in several specific scenarios. I have used Ivanti's autonomous patching feature for the past two months, and it has significantly helped us maintain continuous patch compliance. It provides real-time visibility into which devices are missing operating system and third-party application updates, allowing us to create deployment rings for phased rollouts and automate reports on compliance levels. Compared to our prior setup, the consistency is remarkably high now that we have the patch compliance feature.
I assess Ivanti's trust-building process of AI in my organization as very high, even though, as I previously mentioned, there are still biases to address and improvements in accuracy needed. I would rate Ivanti Neurons for UEM an eight overall.
