Founder at a tech services company4.5After 15 years, I find this solution easy to configure and suitable for medium-to-large implementations. However, its UI is dated, customer support is slow, and a key adapter development tool is no longer maintained, despite improved stability and easier setup.
Manager at a tech services company with 5,001-10,000 employees4.5We've used this solid solution since 2006, valuing its architecture, HA, and integration. It scales well with no stability issues, despite minor deployment hiccups. Support is excellent, though customer service can be initially slow.
Security Solution Specialist with 201-500 employees4.5I've used this solution for two years. Its provisioning workflow and automation are valuable, despite the technical setup. I've had no issues and consider customer service excellent. I'd like a better business UI and integrated access governance.
Director of Technical Communication at a media company with 51-200 employees4.0I've used this stable solution for 7.5 years, appreciating its central control and account management. I'd like a Windows version and a more intuitive interface, as the UI was stark.
Security Developer at a tech services company with 51-200 employees4.0We've used this for three years; its account workflows are valuable, reducing help desk calls. Setup is straightforward, and support is great. My only concern is the time-consuming ITIM pre-installation and occasional bus configuration issues.
Senior Associate at a tech services company with 1,001-5,000 employees3.5I value its automated provisioning, JS Extensions, and Web Services. The UI needs improvement, and I've experienced memory issues. While early support levels disappoint, Level 3 is good. I recommend updating to the latest version.
IT Management Information Security at a financial services firm with 1,001-5,000 employees3.5I value the provisioning module, though deployment was complicated. While stability is good, I need better user self-management, easier rule creation, cloud integration, and improved support. Despite issues, I find it's worth it.
Senior Software Engineer at HCL Technologies4.0I find Tivoli an excellent Identity Management solution, automating provisioning with great custom adapter development. IBM provides outstanding support. Improvements are needed for custom reporting and database connection stability, as issues can necessitate system restarts.
Senior Security Analyst at a insurance company with 1,001-5,000 employees3.5As a consultant, I've used this identity management solution for five years. It improves re-certification and manages identities, but setup is complex, and cloning policies is difficult. Customer service is okay, technical support is good.
Technologist at a healthcare company with 10,001+ employees3.5I value this product for Single Sign-On, securing web applications. I faced some integration issues, but it's stable with good customer service. I advise getting the latest version and knowing requirements before purchase.

It needs a business user oriented UI but the connector to various target systems is a valuable feature.

I'd like to see a TIM Windows version but we can centrally control access to the various applications we support.

It is one of the best available products in the market but it could have better options for creating custom reports

It improved the access re-certification however there is no way to clone or copy policies during deployment.

Compatibility with multiple data storage mechanisms like SQL is needed. SSO is helpful.
