Altinity.Cloud is our main platform for real-time analytics, which they provide with ClickHouse. We collect application events from our mobile systems and push those events to Kafka, which then stores those events into ClickHouse on Altinity.Cloud. Our engineering team runs SQL queries to generate professional dashboards, monitor system performance, and analyze user activity in near real-time, without having to manage the ClickHouse cluster ourselves.
What is our primary use case?
What is most valuable?
Their best features include fully managed ClickHouse, their ClickHouse expertise, their customer support team, and the flexible deployment options they offer. Scaling is easier, and they provide multi-cloud support, allowing us to deploy on AWS, GCP, or Azure in any region.
The biggest benefit and major difference created for our team comes from using their fully managed ClickHouse infrastructure, which eliminates the need to manage cluster provisioning, upgrades, backups, and monitoring ourselves. As a result, our team spends more time building analytics and dashboards while benefiting from a reliable, high-performance database with minimal operational overhead.
Another valuable feature worth mentioning about Altinity.Cloud is their ClickHouse expertise; they are very skilled in how to optimize and how well we can extract performance from ClickHouse.
Altinity.Cloud has had a positive impact on our organization by simplifying the management of our analytics infrastructure. It has reduced the operational effort required to run ClickHouse, improved the query performance for large data sets, and enabled our team to deliver dashboards and analytics faster. As a result, our engineers spend less time on database maintenance and more time building features and analyzing business data and their outcomes.
Some of the measurements we have seen from using Altinity.Cloud include fifty to sixty percent less time spent on database administration. We do not need to handle provisioning, ClickHouse version upgrades, backups, or monitoring; those are all managed by Altinity. Additional outcomes include significantly faster analytics queries, faster deployment of the analytics environment, lower operational costs, and higher engineering productivity.
What needs improvement?
Some of the areas we found for improving Altinity.Cloud include simpler pricing with better costs as the cluster scales and a more intuitive management UI for new ClickHouse users. Additionally, built-in monitoring and performance recommendations for query optimization could be provided.
For how long have I used the solution?
We have been using Altinity.Cloud for one year.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
Altinity.Cloud is a very mature managed ClickHouse platform with excellent performance and strong technical support. If you are evaluating alternatives, compare it with ClickHouse Cloud, Aiven for ClickHouse, and self-managed ClickHouse deployment. The best choice depends on your priorities: operational simplicity, cost, deployment flexibility, and the level of control you need.
What other advice do I have?
I would rate Altinity.Cloud a nine out of ten because they are experts in managing ClickHouse, their performance is outstanding, their scalability is impressive, and the support they provide is very professional.
Regarding Altinity.Cloud's AI capabilities, the key strengths include strong role-based access control, encryption for the data, network isolation, and very secure cloud deployment options. They allow customers to retain control over their data rather than sharing it for model training. For Altinity.Cloud's AI capabilities regarding the accuracy and reliability of output, I would rate it around eight out of ten.
I recommend Altinity.Cloud if you need high-performance analytics on very large data sets with minimal operational overhead. It is an excellent fit for ClickHouse-based workloads such as real-time dashboards, log analytics, and event analytics. Benchmarking your expected data volume and query patterns is essential to choose the right cluster size. Using monitoring and query optimization features early will help achieve the best performance, and it is important to evaluate pricing based on your expected storage and compute usage, especially for rapidly growing data sets and companies.
