We are conducting migration activities from old databases to new ones, uploading into Snowflake Data Cloud and generating reports in Snowflake Data Cloud.

What is most valuable?
The biggest advantage of Snowflake Data Cloud compared to databases I previously used, and compared to Databricks, is that when storing, performing transformations, or querying in Snowflake Data Cloud, it operates very fast.
Transformation in Snowflake Data Cloud is exceptionally fast, which is what I appreciate most about the product.
I am using the data sharing feature in Snowflake Data Cloud.
From a security perspective, Snowflake Data Cloud is very robust. We are using database level security and table level security as well. Security-wise, it performs excellently.
The most significant security feature in Snowflake Data Cloud is role-based access control. We are also using database access controls, where we grant access to particular databases only. This ensures that users can only access the specific databases for which they have permissions, preventing access to other databases.
Support for concurrent users and workloads in Snowflake Data Cloud is very beneficial. Multiple users can read data from the same tables and generate reports simultaneously. We can create a single warehouse that multiple users can access together, and the querying performance remains excellent.
What needs improvement?
Currently, Snowflake is planning to incorporate open source technology into Snowflake Data Cloud for the ETL part. If there were more options available in that open source component, it would be excellent for performing numerous transformations.
The main area for improvement is the integrations component, particularly ETLs in Snowflake Data Cloud. Snowflake introduced a tool called Snowflake Open Source. If there were more features in Snowflake Open Source, it would be very beneficial.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have six months of experience with Snowflake Data Cloud.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
To date, I have not encountered any glitches or crashes with Snowflake Data Cloud.
I would agree that Snowflake Data Cloud is 99.9% stable and reliable.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
Snowflake Data Cloud is very easy to scale. We can scale database-wise, and the database is automatically scalable. We pay based on how much data we use. We can also increase clusters cluster-wise. It is very stable.
How are customer service and support?
Community support for Snowflake Data Cloud is very helpful.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
Databricks and Snowflake Data Cloud are very comparable to one another. We cannot decide which is better as both provide the same kind of environment to work in. Currently, I am still exploring Snowflake Data Cloud to make a definitive decision.
How was the initial setup?
Snowflake Data Cloud installation is very easy. When making modifications or using Terraform, the process becomes even simpler.
Using Terraform with Snowflake Data Cloud is straightforward and convenient. Snowflake Data Cloud itself offers extensive UI options. If infrastructure changes are needed, Terraform can be used for this purpose. Snowflake Data Cloud also provides many options directly within the UI. Instead of coding, you can make changes directly through the UI, including creating new roles, network rules, or policies. We have multiple options available through both the UI and coding methods.
What about the implementation team?
I work as a service provider for Snowflake Data Cloud. I am not a product owner and do not own any products. We implement the solution based on what our customers request.
