What is our primary use case?
We use this for implementation as consultants. We work on the client side, perform analysis, understand their business requirements and needs, and then cater to them according to SAP Business All-in-One by mapping their system requirements. We make their system work for their business use.
My last project was in an FMCG company in Pakistan where their main pain areas were reporting, dashboards, and master data management. Their master data was not managed, and their reporting was not accurate. Their financials were not up to mark as they did not rely on their current ERP. SAP Business All-in-One gave them accurate reporting. They also wanted to hide their recipes from multiple users, so we provided them with a solution to hide their recipes and bill of materials from unauthorized users.
What is most valuable?
SAP Business All-in-One is used for the mid-sized market. Their main areas are reporting, inventory valuations, and inventory limit management. The system doesn't allow negative inventory. This ERP helps organizations manage their financials, inventory, productions, fixed assets, and budgeting. We can customize it by creating add-ons and linking them with SAP Business All-in-One, making integration very easy.
SAP Business All-in-One is not specific to any module. We can access and learn all modules including sales and distribution, procurement, production, and financial aspects. We can develop Crystal Reports that are SQL-based and query-based reporting. It is a good product and ERP system to run and use, with many large companies using it for their financial operations.
What needs improvement?
SAP Business All-in-One needs to improve their production module as it is very limited. We have to work hard to map the processes of our clients' customers. The production module should be more mature to cater to the needs of all types of industries.
When we link resources in a bill of material and production orders contain incorrect values, running disassembly causes issues with resource values and costs not returning properly. This is particularly problematic for businesses dealing with scrap, such as when dismantling a car into pieces.
Because nothing is 100% accurate, there is always room for improvement.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using SAP Business All-in-One for almost five years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
It is very stable and reliable.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
The system can easily grow. We have to modify and mold processes slightly, but it can grow with the needs of the organization.
How are customer service and support?
The customer service was excellent. If we encounter any issues or bugs with the system or any glitches, we reach out to SAP and they respond very quickly, resolving issues and providing updated patches for clients. They have really good support.
How would you rate customer service and support?
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
I have not used any other solution except SAP Business All-in-One.
How was the initial setup?
Licensing can be an issue because of currency conversion, especially when using it in Asia where we have to convert USD to PKR, Indian Rupees, or AED. This creates some challenges, and pricing should be more minimal for private or professional users and for financials.
I am not familiar with the implementation cost as it was handled by the sales department region.
What about the implementation team?
We are a Gold Partner of SAP Business All-in-One.
What was our ROI?
It provides a strong return on investment. The profit and loss calculations are very accurate. Companies get accurate values for their balance sheet, income statement, and expenses. They get accurate inventory values when using moving average cost. It is a good option for companies to use this system.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
Licensing can be an issue due to currency conversion, particularly when using it in Asia where we need to convert USD to PKR, Indian Rupees, or AED. This creates some challenges, and pricing should be more minimal for private or professional users and for financials.
