Oracle's support is not that good for JD Edwards EnterpriseOne. Their support is expensive, and I don't think you're getting your bang for your buck. For the cloud product, they do give you support, but everything is online and you might not get somebody. I would give Oracle's support for JD Edwards EnterpriseOne about a 6.5 on a scale of one to 10.

Accurate reporting and customization options deliver reliable business solutions
SAP Business All-in-One is used for the mid-sized market. Their main areas are reporting, inventory valuations, and inventory limit management. The system doesn't allow negative inventory. This ERP helps organizations manage their financials, inventory, productions, fixed assets, and budgeting. We can customize it by creating add-ons and linking them with SAP Business All-in-One, making integration very easy. SAP Business All-in-One is not specific to any module. We can access and learn all modules including sales and distribution, procurement, production, and financial aspects. We can develop Crystal Reports that are SQL-based and query-based reporting. It is a good product and ERP system to run and use, with many large companies using it for their financial operations.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"A stable and solid product."
"The most valuable features of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne are the flexibility of the configuration, it is highly configurable. It is not rigid as other solutions, such as SAP. They have recently added a custom workflow approach and approval workflows."
"The navigation interface is user-friendly and easy to understand for any user. Many new employees who have joined our organization from different companies, having worked with SAP and Oracle E-Business Suite, have given positive feedback about JD Edwards EnterpriseOne. They particularly appreciate the types of reports, MIS capabilities, and how quickly and easily they can extract data. According to senior management from other organizations, these features are faster, easier, and more convenient than SAP."
"When you're comparing JD Edwards to any other tool, look at the flexibility."
"The most valuable feature is the user experience, where you can create your own queries, it sends you alerts, and it's very flexible."
"It’s a good ERP system that gives users ease-of-use, the flexibility to integrate with other systems, and the ability to meet most of the KPIs."
"The tool is valuable for its rich set of functionalities and stability. The solution is stable. The customer service and support is good."
"It’s a good and configurable product."
"Go for SAP Products because of their business processes/features, stability, and scalability, which include backward and forward integration with any third party applications."
"SAP Business All-in-One gave them accurate reporting and also provided a solution to hide their recipes and bill of materials from unauthorized users."

Cons

"We’d like to see technical support integrated within the application so that it is not required to raise additional incidents or do manual outreach to support."
"For large or sophisticated organizations, I would not recommend JD Edwards."
"What would make JD Edwards EnterpriseOne better is more straightforward project implementation, including reducing the costs associated with upgrading projects."
"Reporting and dashboards are the areas that definitely can be improved."
"The implementation procedure could be simplified."
"Financial side could be expanded by bringing in things like the IMS."
"If it's complex, or there's some debate on whether the item is a bug or functioning as designed, it does take quite some time to get through that, and from a customer perspective, sometimes you have to be pretty persistent."
"There were stability issues, and part of the job, is to offer a stable platform."
"SAP Business All-in-One needs to improve their production module as it is very limited."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The solution’s pricing depends on the module you’re purchasing."
"The licensing costs are on a yearly basis, and there are no additional costs."
"The licensing is for mid-market businesses, where it is cheaper than Oracle Cloud, EBS, or SAP."
"The cost depends on the number of users and the modules required."
"JD Edwards EnterpriseOne has a lot of value for the money. The implementation cost and license cost are quite reasonable compared to other solutions, such as Oracle EBS or SAP."
"More transparent pricing of the software is needed."
"It's very competitively priced. The only problem now is that most of the industry is moving towards software as a service or a subscription model, whereas JD Edwards has a capital expenditure. You would spend on the licenses once off. You can either host it on-premise or in the cloud, but there is a licensing fee once a year."
"In terms of pricing, we have a lot of problems because companies here don't have enough resources to acquire the product. So we need to evaluate the price according to our demographic...The license cost is around 1,00,000 euros."
