We are a non-banking microfinance organization. We use Oracle Application Server as an ERP solution. We use finance, microfinance, and HR modules in this ERP server to streamline our operations.

The solution addresses our core objectives as a microfinance organization. Its features align perfectly with our needs, and we adopt the best practices from other organizations already using it.

The solution’s analytics part could be improved.

I have been using Oracle Application Server for eight years.

I rate the solution’s stability a seven out of ten.

Around 150 users are using this solution.

Oracle has provided us with the support we require.

The initial setup is a little complex.

I rate the product’s pricing a three out of ten, where one is cheap, and ten is expensive.

Oracle Server is ideal for our core business needs, and Microsoft Power BI is best for data analysis.

We're a small and medium-sized business with data needs. Oracle’s features cater primarily to data management, which is relevant to us because our data size is moderate, hovering around 10 gigabytes. Before Oracle, we relied on Azure Microsoft SCS Server for our database, but it couldn't handle our optimization requirements. That's why we migrated to Oracle Server.

We're apparently using VMware. Oracle is not operating 24/7. We haven't experienced any issues, but some power factor may have caused the server downtime.

Overall, I rate the solution a five out of ten.

We use Oracle Application Server for a loan management system. We created it for a client; it is a low-code platform. Everything is purchased in Oracle Cloud, and we use it to develop and deploy applications.

The product offers easy implementation, which is a benefit. It saves development time compared to normal development processes.

We initially explored many features of the product. However, since it was for a client and they only allowed the use of specific functionalities, we did not explore much further beyond the initial stages. The easy deployment process is a highlighted feature.

If you have complex business logic, there is no option to build that complex logic inside the platform. You have to use third-party tools. If Oracle could provide an inbuilt feature for complex logic, it would be better. Also, some features require additional payment.

We have been using the solution for around three years.

There are some stability issues. On a scale of ten, I would rate it a seven or eight.

The solution is scalable. However, increased scalability impacts the cost directly. The scalability itself isn't a problem, but the associated cost increase is.

Their support is good. They provide better support, and I can rate it an eight to nine on a scale of ten.

Positive

We work with Microsoft SharePoint and Mendix. Compared to these low-code, no-code platforms, Oracle Application Server is better in some aspects but less cost-effective than Mendix.

The initial setup is easy and straightforward.

We do the implementation ourselves. We are not partnered with Oracle but are implementers.

The product does not offer cost savings. It is a costly solution. That said, its easy implementation is beneficial.

The pricing model is costly. On a scale of one to ten, I would rate it around four to five. Compared to other solutions like Mendix, Oracle Application Server is more expensive.

We evaluated Microsoft SharePoint and Mendix. Mendix is less costly than Oracle Application Server.

If you are looking for a faster implementation on a low-code platform, I would recommend it. Otherwise, I might not recommend it.
