My primary use case for ADManager is to manage users and groups, perform group policy without logging into Active Directory, and provide easy and secure management and monitoring capabilities. One of my clients uses ADManager for these purposes.
With ADManager, I can easily complete any Active Directory tasks from anywhere, making it an excellent solution. Moreover, user and group management is straightforward. The software is fast, secure, and enables me to manage everything in one place. The installation process is effortless, requiring only one person.
Some of my clients experience issues with the GPO results, which do not always generate the real outcomes. This needs to be resolved by technicians. Additionally, upgrading from recent to the latest versions is quite complex and time-consuming. Improvements in this area would be beneficial.
I have been using it for about one and a half years, maybe.
I would rate the stability of ADManager at eight points on a scale from one to ten. It is quite stable.
The solution is scalable; I would rate its scalability as eight points out of ten.
Technical support from ManageEngine is very satisfactory. I would rate it as ten points out of ten.
Positive
The initial setup of ADManager is straightforward and easy to install. It only requires one person to complete the setup.
The return on investment is noticeable in terms of cost saving, which is about ten to 15%.
The solution is perceived as cheap, and the licensing is annual.
The user interface can be improved with the inclusion of AI features. This would reduce the need for user interaction and enhance search capabilities. I would rate ADManager at nine out of ten points overall.

ManageEngine ADManager Plus is used for multiple tasks, especially for reporting purposes that cannot typically be obtained from Active Directory or present difficulties requiring additional expertise. Information about groups and group members can be accessed through the product. Inactive users and the duration of their inactivity can be tracked. Bulk changes to users can be performed, including bulk user locks and unlocks. Password changes for multiple users can be executed simultaneously. Multiple options and use cases are available within the product.
Automation features in ManageEngine ADManager Plus have been explored, including ticketing and job automation. However, automation is not currently being utilized because the environment does not require it.
The delegation feature in ManageEngine ADManager Plus is useful and is actively being used to support multiple technicians. Technician rights can be handled and delegated according to specific requirements. This is a valuable feature.
ManageEngine ADManager Plus has been in use for three years following an initial trial period. Regular and proper work with the product has been ongoing throughout this time.
Reporting is the most valuable feature of ManageEngine ADManager Plus and is highly usable.
While the features in ManageEngine ADManager Plus are very good, not all features are necessary for every organization. Automation is a strong feature within the product but is not currently required due to the organization's environment and needs.
There are always possibilities for improvements in the initial setup of ManageEngine ADManager Plus.
ManageEngine ADManager Plus has been in use for three years.
The stability of ManageEngine ADManager Plus is rated as seven out of ten.
Scalability, including the ability to add new users, is rated as six out of ten.
Technical support from ManageEngine has never been utilized.
Negative
Only ManageEngine ADManager Plus has been used, and no comparison has been made with products from other vendors.
There are always possibilities for improvements in the initial setup of ManageEngine ADManager Plus.
ManageEngine ADManager Plus is very easy to use with no associated complexity or problems encountered. The overall review rating for this product is seven out of ten.

I use the solution in my company as a network VAPT and asset management tool.
The most valuable features of the solution are vulnerability management and system patching functionalities.
ManageEngine ADManager Plus is capable of everything.
The product's price is an area of concern where improvements can be introduced by making it available at a cheaper rate.
The support should be more responsive.
.I have been using ManageEngine ADManager Plus for two years. I operate as an integrator of the product.
It is a stable solution.
It is a scalable solution.
I don't know the number of customers who use the product. I just use the solution in my company.
It is a bit tough to deal with the technical support of the product since I did not get any answer from them during the migration process.
The product's initial setup phase was straightforward and not complex.
In my company, we simply deploy ManageEngine into the client's system, and then it requires an internet connection, after which the device automatically syncs after the deployment of the agent. After the tool gets installed on the client's machine, we take steps accordingly.
I need to pay for the license, and I believe that it could be made cheaper.
I am open to working with other tools apart from ManageEngine ADManager Plus, provided such products are easy on my pocket and have some advanced features to offer.
Speaking about the group management capabilities is something like discussing Active Directory. For the infrastructure, I am using another solution. I manage my entire infrastructure through JAMS Cloud.
I would recommend the product to others 50 percent of the time, while I may not do so the other 50 percent.
I would recommend that others go with Sophos.
In terms of the value derived from the use of the product, I can say that it is possible if the working of the product is good.
I don't get to use any AI features in ManageEngine.
I rate the tool a seven out of ten.

I use ManageEngine ADManager Plus for auditing.
The solution helps us with access delegation. It keeps our footprint in the Active Directory small, making it easier to watch over and secure. This is good for cybersecurity, helping us track changes and daily checks on who's doing what in our system.
The product helps to validate every activity.
Other products have more flexibility and integration in managing identities.
I have been using the product for six to seven years.
I rate ManageEngine ADManager Plus' scalability a seven out of ten.
I rate the tool's scalability a nine out of ten.
We switched to ManageEngine ADManager Plus since it's cheaper and has more reports.
The tool's deployment is easy.
We have seen ROI with the tool's use.
The tool's pricing is good.
I rate the product a nine out of ten.

ManageEngine ADManager Plus allowed us to perform AD functions without giving the technicians direct access to the servers and the Active Directory tools. The solution is primarily used for things like password resets, account creation, and account deletion.
The solution has helped our organization by reducing risks and not allowing a technician direct access to the servers and the environment.
The most valuable features of the solution are its ease of use, the ability for us to customize the access privileges for the users, and integration with ServiceDesk Plus.
Another feature that I really fell in love with is the recycle bin. One of my engineers deleted a machine out of the AD. After almost two weeks, we could go into the solution, locate that machine in the recycle bin, and restore it. After being restored, the machine worked perfectly.
The solution should be made tablet friendly because it works well on iPhones and Android phones, but does not work on tablets. In today's world of mobility, tablets are becoming more commonplace because they are less heavy, and you can just whip them out and use them anywhere.
I have been using ManageEngine ADManager Plus for more than ten years.
ManageEngine ADManager Plus is a very stable solution.
We were able to upscale the solution as needed with more licenses.
I rate ManageEngine ADManager Plus ten out of ten for scalability.
The solution's technical support is excellent. The technical support has been able to assist if needed, simply with an email instruction. I've never really had to engage them in any remote control session.
We previously used a solution called Track-It! by Numara Software. We switched to ManageEngine ADManager Plus for better features and usability. ManageEngine ADManager Plus had better features, and the interface was more streamlined for my needed functions.
The solution’s initial setup is straightforward.
We have seen a return on investment with ManageEngine ADManager Plus.
We lowered the ownership cost in terms of hiring more engineers. We were able to complete tasks with a smaller group or a smaller team. We were able to reduce the training cost because we only needed to train on specific things to complete tasks versus having to send people to get Microsoft certified.
I am satisfied with the solution’s pricing.
Before choosing ManageEngine ADManager Plus, we evaluated Zendesk.
I advise potential users to clear their minds and try every scenario as they approach the solution. In most cases, it will solve the problems and provide the answer you're looking for.
Overall, I rate the solution ten out of ten.
ADManager Plus offloads all the main tasks of Active Directory, or you can say it automates all the day-to-day tasks. It allows our admins to efficiently manage end-user accounts. It's like user account management outside the real servers but in an automated way. So we don't have to log in to the domain controllers and make changes directly on the server. This application allows admins to make changes, run scripts, install software, fetch reports, and perform many other daily operations. This simplifies the job significantly.
The most valuable feature for me is automation. It's the main feature that stands out the most. It automates seven to eight individual processes that we used to do manually before. Now, it can be done in a single shot as an automated script.
With the number of available integrations these days, it would be beneficial to have more ready-to-integrate technologies in other products as well.
In future releases, I would like to have more technologies and products that can integrate with ADManager Plus.
Currently, there are only around eight to ten available as plugins for single-click integration. However, there are many missing integrations. They might be in the pipeline, but they are not visible in the latest updates. Maybe they will add more in the future.
For additional features, I would like to see more efficient reporting. Currently, the focus is more on executing real activities rather than reporting. For reports, we have to go back to ADAudit, which is not ideal. It would be better if they could merge reporting into a single tool, making it more comprehensive.
I have been using ADManager Plus for three years. We use the latest version.
I would rate the stability an eight out of ten. It's pretty straightforward.
I would rate the scalability as seven out of ten. So there is room for improvement. It would be beneficial if ManageEngine could come up with more products other than Microsoft.
So, in fact, the scalability is limited when it comes to integrating with anything apart from Microsoft.
This solution covers all our users, which is around 1500. We use this solution 24/7 and to its maximum potential.
We are satisfied with the support team.
Positive
The initial setup was very easy. I would rate my experience with the initial setup a nine out of ten. It took two days to deploy the solution.
Only one person was enough for deployment. The job role of this person is a system admin.
The deployment is a simple software installation for deployment. By mentioning the domain name of the domain controller, it fetches all the required data. It's a small integration and loads up quickly with all the necessary data.
The solution requires maintenance. The support guy handles the maintenance.
The ROI was around 90%.
It is not expensive. I would rate the pricing model as a four out of ten, where one is low price and ten is high price. The price is fixed, like a basic price. There are no additional costs.
I would definitely recommend the solution. Overall, I would rate it an eight out of ten. It's pretty good to have this tool to simplify our IT operational tasks and reduce the workload for our service desk agents. It has automated many individual activities that we used to get stuck with.

For our SOC two compliance, I use it quite frequently to run audit reports and cross-reference them with Active Directory. I also look for anomalies, especially in the cybersecurity portion of it. I use it for troubleshooting, running reports, making changes, and using it to verify any anomalies. The analytics piece is proving to be quite helpful.
The most valuable feature is the dashboard. They allow me to see everything in real-time and drill down and pick and choose versus running scripts. You can get the same information with scripts, but you're having to run them in the background. Today, I just don't have the time to look up what those scripts are and how to run them or reach out to someone very proficient in running scripts. I like what the interface does.
Some things are not very intuitive. Sometimes, I have to open up a call with ManageEngine and ask, "Why is this failing? Where do I have to click? Where do I have to go?" It's almost like you need to take a course on how to manoeuvre within it, and you don't always know what's connected to what is on the back end. For example, if I go in and change something and receive an error report, I don't know exactly what changed or what broke. Also, some of the reports are good, but sometimes I need more customized reports, and I'm not quite sure how to customize them because I don't fully understand what's going on in the back end and how these things connect. So, probably on the reporting or customization side, if there were a little more intuitiveness, that would be good.
I have been using this solution for a couple of years.
Typically, I've received very good support from them. But Sometimes it depends on who I get. They've also walked through some of the changes. And sometimes I've gotten, "You'll probably have to go and research this. Not quite sure. Let me get back to you," Then it'll be a couple of days before they circle back.
Positive
It has a competitive pricing model.
I would advise you to scale your license appropriately depending on how many technicians you want. We purchased one, thinking that one would be enough, and it's really not, and we need to expand it.
And sometimes, patching probably needs to be more familiar with patching. I'd say you make sure when you install the product; you pay close attention to the patching portion of it because it could easily break.
Overall, I would rate the solution a nine out of ten.

It provides a good experience and empowers the IT team to do all the active director tasks from the AD manager with a simple DUI. It makes our job easier, especially for managing data for a bulk of users.
We have a regular task in every maintenance window. After the maintenance window, we create a couple of objects and users across the sites for three specific departments in each site. It was about 30 accounts per week, and we gave the task to a dedicated person each week. Once you've created it, you need to assign it to the AD manager. It's a simple task and takes only about five minutes. Whereas before, it took about half an hour to do the job, especially if we used it for the AD DUI.
The bulk users are a great feature. It gives us the power to link GPOs easily. You can create an organizational chart and prepare the workflow, which is very simple. The manage engine always gives us all the solutions in the active directory and all Microsoft tools.
We have been using this solution for almost a year and are using one of the latest versions. It is deployed on-premises.
It is a very stable solution. We do not face any troubles when we attempt to migrate the database from My SQL to MS SQL.
It is very scalable. We have about 20 domain controllers, ten domain controllers and ten additional domain controllers. It can handle the port by replicating the domain control between the primary and the additional. Six members or system administrators use the solution. Increasing the usage in the future depends on the team's scalability.
I rate the technical support a seven out of ten. We have been using the solution for almost a year and haven't faced any issues.
I wasn't involved in the implementation, but it was not that difficult from the feedback received. It is easy once you create the database and install the managed engine through the EXE file.
The deployment was completed in-house with a bit of help from a partner. It requires only one person for deployment.
We have seen a very good return on investment. We can now do multiple tasks in a short and manageable time. In addition, it empowers IT administrators, with the solutions and tools required to complete tasks.
I rate this solution an eight out of ten. Regarding advice, I would recommend the solution to others. The design is based on the number of main controllers and users in your environment. The number of main controllers affects the database for creating the hardware specs. This must be addressed and taken into consideration.

Our company is revamping our OU structure to standardize it across the board. The solution's GUI format translates reports that are then used to update the OU.
We also use the solution to develop processes for new hires that include implementing SAP HCM for staff logins.
The solution provides oversight, reports, and logs that are easy to understand. There is no need to search forums to understand logs.
The API functionality allows integrations with other apps.
API integrations are not supported for all HR tools. For example, Workday is supported but SAP HCM is not. We are in the process of developing a middleware to solve the issue.
I have been using the solution for eight years.
The solution's stability is connected to your AD. The only way the solution would lose stability is if the OU structure is not deployed correctly.
For example, your domain controller connects on different sites and the solution relies on that information to operate. If the controller has an issue syncing, then the solution will too.
It is important to read white papers to confirm compatibility.
The solution's scalability goes hand in hand with how you deploy your AD. It is an add-on that scours your AD to understand it, generate reports, and perform bulk changes.
Support has been okay so far. It really depends on the staff person and whether they are proactive with regard to issues.
Sometimes we have to chase answers but other times support is quite good. We would like a more consistent, customer-centric approach from support.
I rate support an eight out of ten.
Positive
I have used the solution across three different jobs.
At Canadian School, I improved operations by implementing audit automations that allowed me to understand changes in the AD. I also utilized the self-service password portal so users could conduct resets without needing IT tickets. Video feedback about this use case was provided to ManageEngine and is still posted on their YouTube.
At Cognita, I managed ten international schools from Singapore to Australia where I rolled out the solution's audit features and self-service password portal. I did not include the ticketing system in rollout as there was one already in place.
In my current role at FMCG, I rolled out the audit feature but not the self-service password portal. We use the on-premises solution but link it to our Azure AD for cloud services.
The setup is straightforward and easy. You just install the solution on a server and give it rights to access your AD.
There can be difficulties with setup in a silo situation. For example, the server team is separate from the cybersecurity team so permissions are needed. These issues are not related to the solution but rather to the company's infrastructure.
The implementation was handled in-house by three technicians and included installing the solution, testing accounts and their functions, and generating basic reports.
There is no real maintenance unless a domain controller needs to be changed.
I rate setup and implementation an eight out of ten.
The pricing depends on scope and makes sense for use cases with multiple domains.
Given the current economy, it would be beneficial to offer a pricing discount.
I rate pricing an eight out of ten.
We looked at Okta which doesn't link to the AD but operates more on integrations between applications. Identities are managed in a central repository as an SSO that connects to Okta.
All of our applications so far are compatible with the solution via LDAP or Active Directory. We will again explore Okta if future applications are not supported by the solution.
The solution is good to have for AD-related projects where you can fully utilize its features including oversight of your AD. It also helps with bulk changes when revamping an AD structure so is useful before your AD is completed. It is a good tool for long-term migration oversight and reporting.
I rate the solution a nine out of ten.

I use it for email creation, password reset, group creation, group modification, etc. I use it to perform most of the prompt Active Directory activities.
The bulk email ID creation must be improved. I had to create 50 to 60 IDs manually because when I tried the bulk option, it didn't work. I still had to cross-verify because some fields were empty.
I've been using it for two years.
The stability has been good so far.
The scalability is also good. ADManager Plus is being used by seven to eight system administrators right now, and it has been working fine.
ManageEngine's technical support is very good. They're cooperative. However, I would like them to have a ticketing system through which we can chat with a technical support agent. Overall, I would rate technical support at nine on a scale from one to ten.
Positive
I can recommend ManageEngine solutions to anyone. My company chose ADManager Plus because it is cost effective and is a versatile solution. I would give ADManager Plus a rating of ten out of ten.
