Reporting features have supported regular user management while some automation capabilities remain unused
While the features in ManageEngine ADManager Plus are very good, not all features are necessary for every organization. Automation is a strong feature within the product but is not currently required due to the organization's environment and needs. There are always possibilities for improvements in the initial setup of ManageEngine ADManager Plus.

An easy-to-implement solution that provides good reporting features and protects users’ AD infrastructure
We use Tenable Identity Exposure for our customers who have legacy AD still in use to see any exposure and protect their AD infrastructure as much as possible The solution is easy to implement, and its reporting is great. From the start, you get to see the exposure of your AD. So, it doesn't need…

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"It makes our job easier, especially for managing data for a bulk of users."
"The product helps to validate every activity."
"The most valuable feature is the dashboard. They allow me to see everything in real-time and drill down and pick and choose versus running scripts."
"My company chose ADManager Plus because it is cost effective and is a versatile solution."
"The most valuable feature for me is automation."
"The solution is perfect for moving myself from first to second-level support and empowering technicians to handle certain tasks such as resetting passwords, reporting expiring passwords, etc."
"The solution provides oversight, reports, and logs that are easy to understand."
"It is a stable solution."
"The solution is easy to implement, and its reporting is great."

Cons

"Other products have more flexibility and integration in managing identities."
"The product's price is an area of concern where improvements can be introduced by making it available at a cheaper rate."
"It would be nice if the solution offered some sort of brochure with some high-level information that would help sell it to management. If they had details around how much time it saves an engineer, for example, to show the ROI, it would be helpful."
"This solution is not stable, it wasted my time."
"Scalability, including the ability to add new users, is rated as six out of ten."
"Lacks sufficient integration with management tools."
"The bulk email ID creation must be improved. I had to create 50 to 60 IDs manually because when I tried the bulk option, it didn't work. I still had to cross-verify because some fields were empty."
"API integrations are not supported for all HR tools. For example, Workday is supported but SAP HCM is not."
"Tenable Identity Exposure is more expensive than Defender for Identity."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The pricing depends on scope and makes sense for use cases with multiple domains."
"It is not expensive."
"The tool's pricing is good."
"I downloaded the trial version, only."
"I need to pay for the license, and I believe that it could be made cheaper."
"I am satisfied with the solution’s pricing."
"The cost of this product is a little higher than I would expect for a tool like this."
