We are providing the end-user experience by creating virtual machines on the server and assigning them to our clients.

We set up multiple virtual machines on the Dell PowerEdge FX server and isolate that server to assign it to our client. We configure test servers based on the client's request.

Dell PowerEdge FX is very good and user-friendly, with a console that is easy to manage, and it is budget-friendly compared to other products.

Dell PowerEdge FX has made management very good and easy for us, and we have created virtual machines on these PowerEdge servers as well.

The modular design of Dell PowerEdge FX is very beneficial for our IT operations because it is small and compact, fitting easily into our data center rack while saving physical space and power.

They have a capable technical support team that helps to resolve issues, and their regular updates to hardware components and communication keep us up to date with challenges.

Dell PowerEdge FX has some features that we noticed for supporting AI initiatives or data-intensive applications, but we are planning to explore all the features in depth.

The console and user-friendly UI of Dell PowerEdge FX are the most valuable features. Its interface is easy to understand even for non-technical users.

Dell PowerEdge FX is very easy to use and has a good market reputation. It is also favorable commercially.

The system is good, but compared to open-source and assembled servers, it is somewhat costly. If it were cheaper, it would be even better.

I would prefer the next releases of Dell PowerEdge FX to be easier to use and flexible to upgrade. Sometimes, we have to do the tasks manually, but automation would be very helpful.

I have been working with Dell PowerEdge FX for almost six years.

I would rate the stability of Dell PowerEdge FX a ten out of ten. Having this level of stability with Dell PowerEdge FX is very important to me. If the stability of Dell PowerEdge FX was not as good, we would have to restore backups from our servers, though we rarely face major issues with Dell PowerEdge FX.

I would rate the scalability of Dell PowerEdge FX a nine out of ten, as there are some manual tasks we must perform that slightly hinder overall efficiency.

Dell PowerEdge FX handles workload scalability and system updates effectively. We can add more servers. We previously started with one server and have since increased our usage, though some tasks require manual interventions.

Our customers are mostly medium-sized businesses, specifically from the USA healthcare sector, including insurance and cleaning companies, and hospitals.

The technical support for Dell PowerEdge FX is really good; they are very helpful with their turnaround time.

I had an interaction with Dell support when there was a hardware issue in my servers; they replaced the faulty parts after our call.

We decided to start using Dell PowerEdge FX as it helped us cover all the features we needed, even after exploring other options that were not feasible for us.

Currently, Dell PowerEdge FX is cheaper compared to Nutanix products, but there is a lot of manual work we have to do in setup, which presents challenges.

We have been using Dell PowerEdge FX for a long time. The deployment of Dell PowerEdge FX takes almost two to three hours, not more.

We need only one to two people for the deployment of Dell PowerEdge FX. Their responsibilities include setting up and implementing the server, as well as configuring the virtual machines for storage and other requirements.

For maintenance of Dell PowerEdge FX, we need one person per server for monitoring and upkeep.

The cost of Dell PowerEdge FX depends on the configuration we are using. We usually pay $5,000 to $10,000 based on the configuration, including RAM and storage.

My advice to new users evaluating Dell PowerEdge FX is that it is definitely value for money, and you should consider it for purchase. 

I would rate this solution a 10 out of 10.

We have models in the 900 series. We also have servers in the 600 and 700 series. We use the solution mostly for virtualization.

The product seamlessly integrates with the storage portfolio. It’s is easy. The performance and energy savings are very good. We can find the mean time between failures.

The product must provide more integration. The stock of switching products is an issue most of the time. Delivery time could take up to one month.

I have been using the solution for more than 15 years.

The tool’s stability will depend on our setup, but most of the time, we have a mean time between failure of service. We've been running for more than five years without any power down.

The sky is the limit for scalability. We support customers that have users in the range of 20 to 4000.

The technical support is fairly good. The team has certified and trained engineers. We contact them if we have an issue with some configuration.

We have a lot of questions during the order process. They get answered well. The machines are ready to go when we switch on the power. It will depend on our configuration. If we don't make an order with all the configuration specs in it, we’ll get nothing. We will have to do it all by ourselves. Which isn't a problem, but it will take longer.

The solution is deployed on-premise, but we're transitioning to more hybrid solutions. We have a team for storage and connectivity. We also have a team for switching and networking. We need three to five enterprise system engineers to build a normal-sized cluster with 500 users. We also need a project manager.

I wouldn't advise doing the deployment in-house. We have to be certified. We can't spin up servers as we want. We have to get some certifications for deploying the servers. The deployment process is fairly easy.

If we make our order with the right configuration, we will have no problems. If we mix up something or forget something in the configuration specs, we will have trouble because we will have to download and install the drivers. It’s a lean process, though.

If we stick with one product and vendor, we get many advantages because the integration is already tested and deployed, and the configurations are fairly straightforward. I don't expect anything to go wrong. The solution is absolutely good in terms of usability.

There are several models within Dell. We can have a pay-as-you-use model or choose to pay for everything upfront. The licensing model depends on the product we need. The vendor doesn't have many licenses in storage provisioning. There are a few features that we can access if we buy a license for it. It's fairly straightforward.

The product will soon provide more integration and be more server-ready for AI. New models are coming up. We're looking at edge computing instead of cloud computing. I recommend the solution to others. Dell is one of the key players in artificial intelligence today. Overall, I rate the product a nine out of ten.

My company is an enterprise company based in Ethiopia, and we have a set of different clients, causing us to participate in catering to their different needs. When my company's clients need help, we provide them with a solution based on the requests we receive from them. Owing to the aforementioned reasons, my company keeps checking out different storage solutions on different types of servers because of our company's clients' needs.

The most valuable feature of the solution is that it is a fast tool that is currently considered to be a leading product according to Gartner Magic Quadrant among other vendors, like IBM and other main vendors in the market. Dell PowerEdge FX is one of the leading solutions in the market, with high scalability, performance, and ease of management, and it offers the latest generation products. Dell is one of the leading companies that provide rack servers in Ethiopia.

For now, there are no improvements I want in the tool from my side because My company is considered a titanium-level partner of Dell. My company is a titanium-level partner of Dell because we like not only Dell's different storage services but also Dell's other technologies that come under the portfolio of products offered under Dell EMC, which we sell. I don't have any other comments to add about the product's latest generation, especially since Dell PowerEdge offers 16th-generation servers. My company offers Dell solutions to our clients, and if there is any feedback about the tool from our clients, we will notify our vendors. So we give them that comment we have received from our clients. My company would suggest improvements to be made based on the feedback we receive from our clients about the product.

There are certain shortcomings with Dell PowerEdge FX's integration capabilities with different operating systems, where improvements are needed.

Stability-wise, I rate the solution a nine and a half out of ten.

It is a scalable solution. My company hasn't faced any difficulties related to the product's performance and scalability since Dell ensures to provide a high-performance service.

My company has been in the environment with the product for more than 14 years, and for a very long time, we have been holding onto the servers from Dell. I am not sure, but I think that my company's database indicates that we have around 80 or more than 100 customers who use Dell.

The support given by Dell is good. From my experience, I did not see any discrepancies from the product's support side. Dell's technical team supports us to deal with the issues we face whenever my company needs support.

Compared to the products from other vendors in the market, the product's deployment phase is easy. My company has previous experience in setting up Dell PowerEdge FX, so we don't face any difficulties when we deploy the product.

Usually, the operating system is not integrated with the servers, and my company's clients might not be interested in integrating any products with the operating system, especially with big servers. First, my company mounts a server on a server rack, and then we initialize it before we deploy the operating system on it. The aforementioned deployment process may help the product face the version of the operating system on which we plan to deploy while keeping a check on servers that may not be compatible with the operating system. The integration between Dell PowerEdge FX and an operating system could solve some of the issues for its users.

The solution is deployed on an on-premises model.

From an ROI perspective, all I can say is that my customers have told me that the product is easy to manage, and they don't face any difficulties or problems with it as it offers flexibility and is understandable.

Payments are generally made towards the perpetual-based licensing costs attached to the solution, but people can also opt for subscription-based licenses.

Price-wise, it is not a very expensive solution. If we compare it to IBM servers and the different types of servers, we can see that Dell provides higher performance and high scalability at moderate prices. I recommend the solution to my company's customers since it is a moderately priced product. The product can be optimized based on the customer's budget. The product also meets its users' requirements, owing to its good performance and scalability. Generally, the product has moderate pricing and can be optimized per a user's needs. It also offers high performance and scalability.

I rate the overall product a nine and a half out of ten.

I use the solution in my company, mainly for our back-end systems and a bit of data analysis.

It is hard to describe the valuable features of the product since it has been six months since I stopped using the tool. The product was just used as a basic or general type of server in our company.

When it comes to Dell PowerEdge FX, the area of concern revolves around the delivery time where improvements are required.

Users need to pay a premium for the product, but it works.

I don't have a problem with the product.

I rate the overall product a seven to eight out of ten.

My opinion on PowerEdge is that the power efficiency is very good and nice. The failure rate is zero. I don't have any issues. I have not faced any issues, actually, in the last two to five years.

I want the pricing of the commercial parts improve. I don't have any technical issues, but I would like to see the commercial side improve as compared to all other OEMs. 

I have been using PowerEdge for the last 10 to 15 years.

It's a very stable product. 

This solution is scalable. Whenever I want to add something, a new hard drive, processor, or whatever I want to add, there is no new procurement required. I just put up a new purchase, and then add it to the new hard drive. It's very good.

I have called them many times. Within one day, a technician will solve the issues. It's very nice support. I rate them a five out of five. 

The setup is very straightforward. It's not a complex setup. We used to use a very complex setup with Azure, but now, it's very straightforward. I really appreciate it. I rate the setup as a five out of five. It's very nice. 

Compared to other brands, this solution is the cheapest. I would rate the pricing as a five out of five.

I have recommended this solution to many customers. 

I give this solution an eight out of ten. 

We use PowerEdge for server consolidation and virtualization on a VMware server.

The best feature is PowerEdge's ability to stack up eight blade servers in one 2U chassis.

The positioning of the power supply is not ideal. Both of them are on the same side, so you need to untie the cabling when you're installing the server. Another thing is storage separation. The storage can only be used by a particular server blade. I want the ability to use a storage unit for more than one server.

I've been using PowerEdge FX for three years.

Yeah, it is a stable product. Yes.

Yes, yes. It's scalable. Scalable, yes, in terms of if you want to increase the number of servers, then of course you can. If you want to build a chain such as this, then you can. If you want to increase memory, storage, you can. It's very-

What differentiates PowerEdge from competing racks I've used is its compactness. It can house up to eight servers in a 2U space. It can combine all the storage protocols in one IO module or switch, so it can combine all fiber channels. This can also do ethernet. I like the ability to internally combine network adapters.

I rate PowerEdge eight out of 10 for ease of setup. The complexity of the setup depends on the experience of the person installing it. I think deploying the networking component is a little complex. If you have an FX2, you have FN I/O modules. That's combined storage traffic and ethernet traffic to the switches. It gets complicated if your department doesn't know how to set it up. 

PowerEdge costs between $50,000 to $65,000 per unit. It depends on the number of server blades you have in there. That's total const including CPU, memory, storage, etc. Maintenance cost is around 8 percent of the total value.

I think the clients are backing out because of the price. There are cheaper competing solutions.  Also, they don't understand the use case. They don't know the use case of the products. There isn't enough effort by Dell to raise awareness about the product in the region. 

I'll say eight.

We use this solution for database installations and workload applications, like enterprise business applications. It is a 2U rack server.

The product is good, and we are satisfied. The remote management is great. The remote management interface is called iDRAC Integrated Dell RemotePowerEdge. It can virtualize IT with VMware, which is good.

They could improve from a manufacturing perspective and not the product itself. For example, the lead time in production is not the best, and it currently takes more than eight weeks to receive goods when we place an order. It might be because of the shortage of silicon chips. It would be great for customers if they could reduce the lead time.

It does not have a graphic processing unit card, and they should add it.

It is very stable, and we can have the PowerEdge FX and still have the flavour of hyperconverged infrastructure software.

It is a scalable product and not challenging. We can scale up based on the number of disks if we want to upgrade the storage or the RAM. Also, we can scale up the computing by adding a new server and integrating it into the environment. Once we virtualize the infrastructure, it is very easy to upgrade.

Dell has a good portfolio for support. We can place an order, and there is an option to choose what kind of support we need. We can choose onsite support, remote support or an account manager responsible for our product. I rate the support a ten out of ten.

The setup is very user-friendly. It has wizards and different options. So the basic setup is very good. It is not complex at all, and I rate the setup a ten out of ten.

The price is negotiable based on the server specification. You need to specify what you need in terms of RAM storage and processor. But when you compare it with other solutions, the pricing is good. I rate the pricing a ten out of ten, with ten being competitive.

The functionality is the same as the competition, but Dell has more integration with VMware as the virtualization vendor. So when you buy Dell, you can get full support from Dell and VMware from just a single technical account manager or technical supporting engineer.

I rate this solution a ten out of ten. I would recommend Dell PowerEdge FX. If you buy about three servers and above with Dell, it's easier to integrate your server to have the hyperconverged infrastructure flavours from the servers.

We use PowerEdge for the hosting and implementation of our cloud deployment.

We like PowerEdge for its high-performance computing architecture. 

Before the cloud solution and virtualization, we relied on Dell hardware from specific vendors. The lifecycle for cloud infrastructure is shorter than it used to be. We need a longer lifecycle from the IT supplier providing the computing solution. 

I've been using PowerEdge FX since 2017.

PowerEdge has been part of our core package since 2017. It's stable. We haven't faced any issues with the computing set. 

PowerEdge FX is scalable.

Our system integrator provides the first level of support on top of our agreement with the vendor itself, so I can say we haven't had any issues with the support yet.

Setting up PowerEdge FX was easy to handle. We have had the help of a system integrator.

There's no license for the PowerEdge hardware.

I rate PowerEdge FX nine out of 10. It's a stable and scalable solution our customers can rely on for their applications, especially physical applications. 

It depends on the client's requests, but mostly we work with the rack servers.

PowerEdge FX has lot of applications; we use it for businesses like data analytics, application businesses, and more. It depends on the different services.

The features that I have found most valuable are that it has very robust servers and a very heavy load. We've been working on servers now for 10 years and those servers are still up and running. Those servers are still very powerful until today.

In terms of what could be improved, we always find this kind of a problem when comparing the cost that's provided by Dell to that of HP. Dell's main competitor is HP servers. I don't know about the IBM's, but most of our requests are coming from Dell compared to HP. In terms of the cost, it is a little bit high, meaning, there is some difference in the cost compared to the equivalent product with HP servers.

I have been using Dell EMC PowerEdge FX for eight years.

I have servers running 8 years now, that is very stable.

Most of the people don't go for the scalability of the server. They don't add on specific things. They add new servers. Today, the cost of the servers is not that heavy, like before. So people add one note and two notes when they require some use cases.

My experience with Dell customer service is that mainly they are very, very supportive.

The initial setup is very, very easy.

I'm a gold partner, so I am satisfied with Dell EMC PowerEdge FX.

Based on the feedback from the clients that we are working with, on a scale of one to ten, I would rate Dell EMC PowerEdge FX a nine.

I'm an old guy with Dell. I always prefer this brand over others.

This solution is used for Hyper-V workloads, a web server, and a virtual desktop environment.

The most valuable feature is its stability.

I think that Dell has full documentation on their products, but it needs to be improved for this one.
