Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"I love the automation and level of customization available for the automation.""The best feature for us would be the automation and how they can be set up to email, provide an update, and assign to different people all on different triggers.""The board customization is an incredibly valuable feature.""All employees can access it so everyone is in the know of what jobs are coming in and what jobs are going out.""Monday.com colors are friendly to the eye.""Creating super-smart to-do lists, intern management, and sales leads lists has been huge.""Before signing on with Monday, we had no idea what the total value of our book of business was, and keeping track of renewing policies was very difficult.""The sub-items have been incredibly helpful."

More monday.com Pros →

"Monitoring the progress of projects and tasks is very effective."

More Workfront Pros →

"We utilize time tracking and reports most often.""It's a very easy-to-use and flexible tool. We can easily write and create queues for different themes. It's very user-friendly."

More Wrike Pros →

Cons
"It would be good if we could have the option to choose custom colors for the status fields and groups so we can make some boards more branded.""Sometimes automation is delayed, which can lead to duplicate items being created.""The stability could be improved.""Being able to create 'sub-teams' so people in these teams can be assigned to tasks in one go and receive updates on the progress of tasks would be useful.""The addition of subtasks was really great. It helps reduce a lot of the clutter on our boards. However, sometimes it is inhibitive to use them as the features available using main tasks don't apply to subtasks.""Better integration with Outlook would be awesome.""The tablet display is confusing and difficult to use.""More customizations for automation would be useful."

More monday.com Cons →

"The interface can also be customized to fit and accept many tools for better performance and customer service improvement."

More Workfront Cons →

"We feel that the actual project reports and roll-ups could be a lot different. We are seeking something more for the dashboard. We would like a high-level dashboard that can be broken down into individual product roll-ups and tasks that are assigned. If you assign someone to a task, it assigns them all of the tasks under that. We want to be able to break those down so that a person doesn't have an 800 task list, for example. We want more separation with that and a higher-level dashboard experience.""On one side, it's very easy to create a task with text, but on the other side, it's not very well-formatted. Therefore, it's difficult to track specific data written in a task. We are making templates, but it's not enough to use a template to know the exact status of different tasks. One thing that we are looking for in Wrike is a better workflow. Because we can only move the status of tasks, we can't really manage workflow and send a task to a specific person. This is what is really missing in Wrike as compared to other tools. We are looking to replace Wrike because we need support for workflow. Another issue with Wrike is that they bring a lot of versions of the tool, which it's not so easy. They bring new versions very frequently, and these versions look similar. For example, we are using robots to read the tasks in the tools, which is problematic with Wrike because it is changing very frequently."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "I wasn't involved with the licensing, but I believe it's negotiable."
  • "The solution is quite inexpensive. For example, we pay $8,500 for 75 users. It's somewhere around $100 a user, approximately."
  • "The project manager would be responsible for any licensing fees. As an end-user, we just follow suit."
  • "Fees are paid monthly per user."
  • "The price is reasonable for the number of users we have."
  • "I am using its free version."
  • "We tell others it's about $2200 for a ten-person plan and it can be adjusted; it's easy to scale."

  • "Wrike is not so expensive, but I don't know exactly how it compares with other tools. Wrike might not be so cheap when we are using it for a lot of users."

    Reviews from Real Users

monday.com stands out among its competitors for a number of reasons. Two major ones are its task status feature and its ability to integrate with external apps. PeerSpot users take note of the advantages of these features in their reviews:

Ben D., Front End Developer at a marketing services firm, writes of the product, “Their flagship feature, what used to be called the pulse, is great. Pulse offers great management. Being able to see everything at a glance and check task status, is wonderful. They use subtasks and the simple aspects of task management have been really helpful.”

Another PeerSpot reviewer, the Head of Projects at Smart Media SA, notes, “The boards offer an amazing and clear view of my tasks, campaigns, and progress. Automations especially with Slack and Outlook help with keeping my team up-to-date always. Graphs and charts are valuable for reporting purposes and to track progress made. Workforms/surveys are valuable and a very cool added feature.”
