It integrates well with our learning management system, but the break-out rooms are a little rough around the edges
There are definitely times when the sound becomes a bit unclear, and latency is also an issue. If there are too many people on video simultaneously, the whole system can slow down. The group breakout rooms are still somewhat rough around the edges. I would like to see them improve that feature so we can have more interaction in our classes.

Utilizing versatile features for efficient personal and work meetings
Zoom offers a number of interesting and valuable features. One of the most interesting is the ability to share only audio and provide ambient music without sharing a screen. The breakout room feature is much more developed than other solutions, allowing users to stay in the same meeting and move to different rooms and back to the main room. The sharing features are great for projecting people who should be in focus. Another valuable feature is the virtual entrance, which uses a username and password recognized by the Zoom system, showing the person's full name and ID. Additionally, the use of video and a good fixed background improves visibility compared to other applications. These features differentiate Zoom from others.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"It made it simple for users to join, work together, and share screens."
"Installation was straightforward."
"During meetings, the feature of closed captioning, scripting, and recording was convenient for keeping minutes and making available the information discussed to review meeting minutes. Also to keep track of all the agreements and discussions during those meetings. It worked well with our email systems and other communication services integrated into the functionalities."
"The most valuable features for me are its stable connection, user-friendly interface, and screen-sharing files. Cisco's support is also very valuable."
"We appreciate how Webex integrates with our system. When an employee completes a course, Webex documents it and updates the employee's training records."
"Webex Meeting's most valuable features are screen-sharing and remote access."
"Zoom is a very reliable solution."
"The quality of the connection from Zoom is very good. There are many functions and features available. I am only a basic user and it has more than I will ever use. It has lower bandwidths than other products that we have used and has worked well. It is important to have good quality sound and video than anything else."
"Zoom provides different background screen functionalities for privacy protection."
"Zoom is scalable. We have about 10,000 users at my company."
"The solution is easy to use with an easy user interface."
"The product has video access which is a great feature."
"The video stream is very cool, and it's an efficient solution."
"The most valuable features of Zoom are the screen blur and the background transition, which is great because we are working from home. Without this feature we would not have private meetings, they do not need to see what is happening in our background. The background transition is good with Zoom."

Cons

"It would be nice if there were more integrations available."
"It could be more secure."
"Webex Meetings could be improved with more collaborative features and an archive of information like appointments and discussions that can be shared with everybody."
"The features I think can be improved are integrations with third-parties; for example, Microsoft 360 and other shared folders."
"There are definitely times when the sound becomes a bit unclear, and latency is also an issue. If there are too many people on video simultaneously, the whole system can slow down. The group breakout rooms are still somewhat rough around the edges. I would like to see them improve that feature so we can have more interaction in our classes."
"They need to improve the background feature, to be able to set a background without interfering with the current background."
"They should improve the sharing file features from accessing the internal network. If we cannnot share our documents through this meeting, our meeting productivity will decrease dramatically. We need these features."
"While the communication and video-audio conferencing features on Zoom are excellent, unlike Microsoft Teams, there is no direct integration with SharePoint. For us, that is the disadvantage of Zoom."
"While Zoom calls are great for talking and chatting, they often lack follow-up on action items and collaboration. Most of the time, it's just talking and listening without much progress. There's a missing piece in these tools. About 90 percent of those calls could be replaced by other tools that focus more on the deliverables that make a real impact rather than just being another wasted meeting. It doesn't improve collaboration."
"Recently, most of the people in my organization have not been able to dial in using the telephone number and have been required to join meetings using their devices."
"The security of the solution could improve."
"I have read some news about Zoom being a little bit insecure, but when we never had any issue with it. They can improve by making the sessions more secure."
"The only thing that I can't get to work well is putting one of those little fancy wallpaper picture screens behind me during meetings so that I don't show my house or the room I'm attending from. Everyone is basically working remotely at this point. It would help to just have a neutral professional background for meetings that's easy to add."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Pricing is very competitive because it didn't change much since they were already in the market when other players came in."
"The pricing is too high. The cost of the license could be cheaper."
"Zoom is a very cheaply priced video conferencing solution, and using this product has saved our business a lot of expense."
"I am making yearly payments. So, I am paying 250 USD a year."
"We generally have a strict budget so the pricing for Zoom is reasonable."
"It is reasonable. It has a monthly license."
"I am using the free version of Zoom."
"Zoom is licensed as a subscription model and it is available on a monthly or yearly basis."
"The exact costs are handled on a corporate level, however, I understand that if you just want to own a license for your small business or something like that, it's around $300 a year, which is very reasonable."
