Scalable, with prompt technical support, but they should include more language support
I would recommend this solution to others. It's a good product. We are not using the latest version, we have yet to migrate, but it is serving our purpose. I don't see any major issues. In regards to integration, they are improving constantly and adding more connectors, which means integration is working well. I don't have any issues with security or stability. If I have to integrate with any other applications or tools, the partnership has to be established. For example, if you have to have a connector with Veeva Vault or SAP, the connector should be available. The partnership or third-party should be available with that tool. Technically, they have connectors with several other third parties. There could be exceptions. I would rate Kofax RPA a seven out of ten.

Saves us significant time, reduces repetitive tasks, and removes human error
We're saving a lot of time for all our associates in our company. As far as metrics go, each project that we complete is saving us on the order of 40 hours a month, so it's saving a lot of time. It also allows our associates to do things that are more interesting, instead of having so much repetition in their jobs. In addition, we've seen performance benefits because it removes the human error portion of running a process. It makes it easier for the owners of the process because they don't have to worry if they've made a mistake. They also don't have to look something up because the RPA would have everything for them, ready to go. Performance has improved a lot, as well.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The flexibility to use already-developed components is really good. You can use it for Excel-related operations and other things."
"Kofax RPA's best feature is its high success percentage in picking up information from documents, especially where the DPI is really low."
"Provides valuable tools working in integration with RPA tools."
"The product saves time and resources."
"The product provided all the security controls that we asked them."
"The best part of Kofax is that they have a whole concept. It's one product, but also has extra elements that can be integrated."
"The pricing of the solution is quite good."
"Kofax handles UIs via the browser well. If it's not possible, they have other features like modeling screen scrapes, etc."
"AI is a good feature. I am looking forward to that making life easier. It has enabled us to automate more processes. Based on the requirement, chat can hand over the process and we can kick off that bot to do the job. If someone has a problem with a ticket or with a schedule, they can connect to the schedule department or schedule bot."
"UiPath is user-friendly."
"The UiPath Community is truly helpful."
"I like how it integrates with the Orchestrator and everything works together. There are so many different use cases that we can easily connect through APIs, databases, and user interfaces to automate all kinds of applications."
"Attended and unattended automation, which support web and email automation, are the most valuable features for us."
"UiPath has helped speed up digital transformation and significantly reduced the cost of digital transformation."
"The most beautiful activity is sentiment analysis, where we can predict the good reviews and the negative reviews."
"The employee's productive hours increased and they were able to handle more transactions and focused on better quality work that needs human intelligence."

Cons

"This product has room for improvement in support of aviation. The interface could be improved in the next release."
"Kofax RPA needs to improve integration with SAP and Microsoft. The professional services offered by the tool's team is below par. Its licensing needs to be more modular."
"Exception handling needs to be improved."
"The product should improve desktop automation, which is hard to configure. It needs to have custom connectors. It is the only advantage that Microsoft Power Platform has over Kofax RPA. It has more than 800 custom connectors."
"The product needs more AI capabilities."
"The product has some constraints and performance issues."
"I would like to see them further enhance the OCR, specifically in the multi-language support."
"The scalability has room for improvement."
"It would be helpful if UiPath could provide developers to help us with the on-premises setup. Without that, we have to figure out how we do the setup."
"Sometimes, we get an error when we are developing something in the UiPath Studio for Salesforce. It gives me an error when I create one line of code, but I don't get the error when I make the same line of code again. We also get some bugs when UiPath adds new features. If we're developing multiple activities on one core, it can slow the response times a bit, and it will take more time when we try to download the dependencies or other packages."
"I would like better stability and possibly some tools to determine why robots are failing."
"They need to work on security."
"UiPath should make more of its advanced capabilities available to non-technical users through additional low-code features. They should also enhance their AI features and make more machine learning models available out of the box through the UiPath store."
"Sometimes, UiPath support is like a lottery. They have many intelligent people who can get you what you need, but it depends on whether the person you're assigned knows the solution. It might be that they have so many customers and not enough staff. The ticket response times can be pretty slow."
"Maybe they should build more out-of-the-box apps rather than companies building their own implementation from scratch and maybe build them as a product on top of the platform. That would save time in implementation."
"UiPath is relatively expensive."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The cost depends on the number of licenses and the number of RPAs."
"Kofax's prices are pretty reasonable."
"Kofax RPA is moderately priced but expensive in comparison to UiPath and Power Automate."
"The normal price for an on-premises license is €50,000. That's the price for one robot license. You can have more than one robot license but only one can be run at any one time. I believe the cost of adding a second robot is around €14,000."
"Its pricing is reasonable given the product capabilities. Kofax has a wide range of products, and it can sometimes be confusing to understand which capabilities come with which product set. One of the key facets that we've been looking into recently is cognitive document recognition that was a core pile of some of their other technologies such as Kofax transformation modules (KTM)."
"There is a standard license needed to use Kofax RPA and the price is reasonable."
"I give the price of the solution a six out of ten."
"I don't have complete insight at this point in time, but I would guess that Kofax is a lot less expensive than Automation Anywhere. I would expect its license to be on a yearly basis."
"It used to come at a high cost, but now it's more budget-friendly."
"The cost is on the higher side."
"The investment is relatively small compared to the potential in qualitative and quantitative benefits that can be achieved."
"UiPath is expensive."
"The price of the Enterprise version is high, and the licensing is very complex. For small businesses like ours, licensing is a very complex task and takes too much time."
"I would like to have transparency in pricing. We're creating a lot of robotic process automation use cases all over the place. I'm never really clear on what the pricing model is and the skews."
"The licensing fees for this solution are approximately $100,000 USD annually."
"UiPath has several modules that we would like to use. They will enhance our installation, but they are very costly."
