Weekly insights and risk analysis facilitate informed security decisions
I appreciate the weekly insights Zafran provides, which include critical topics for networks and IT security, allowing us to evaluate which insights apply to our environment. The organization score feature is valuable to keep the leadership team updated on how our infrastructure fares security-wise. The applicable risk level versus base risk level feature is beneficial because prior to Zafran, we only used the base risk level, but now understand that risk depends on the asset itself. Zafran is an excellent tool.

Streamlines vulnerability management with excellent reporting and potential AI integration
Tenable is user-friendly and excels in reporting. It allows me to easily fetch and schedule reports. The software's discovery feature aids in strengthening our security posture. The single-sensor installation process on various operating systems is smooth, unlike Rapid7, which requires different versions for separate systems. Furthermore, Tenable enables vulnerability management through potential AI integration that consolidates efforts and resolves multiple vulnerabilities simultaneously.

Makes vulnerability management efficient with a single pane of glass and daily report generation
There are areas for improvement. Initially, when onboarding Vulcan Cyber, the setup and configuration was more complex than expected with a user-friendly approach. This aspect can be enhanced. An important area is performance and speed, as Vulcan Cyber often lacks speed when exporting reports. The team might have to work on scaling up servers. When we click on a vulnerability, it takes ten seconds to pop up a window and show the entire content. Instead of that, they can put a down arrow, and all the details should be shown on clicking the arrow. This will prevent that ten-second delay. Another area for improvement is providing support and documentation for their tool. Users should have access to easy-to-understand trial documentation for reference.

"It is quite straightforward to set up."
"The initial setup is very straightforward."
"It has greatly impacted us by providing asset visibility."
"It is a very, very user-friendly tool...The setup is easy"
"The initial setup is not complex."
"The initial setup is mostly straightforward."
"It is pretty stable. I would rate it nine or maybe ten."
"Out of the three solutions I've used, Vulcan Cyber is the superior option."
"One of the features that I find valuable is the ability to bifurcate the report according to the many options available."
"It is very good when it comes to ingesting information from different sources and then displaying this information in an easy-to-use platform."
"Vulcan Cyber has helped reduce our organization’s mean time to remediation."
"I find the ability to consolidate information from multiple vulnerability scanners into a single source valuable."
"Vulcan enables us to automate tickets from multiple scanners. It has lots of analytics options that show us charts and allow us to view the statuses in different waves. The dashboard is nice because it's highly informative about the big picture."
"Vulcan Cyber offers a single pane of glass for centralizing our security data."
"Vulcan Cyber gives the remediation team the focus points."

Cons

"Initially, we were somewhat concerned about the scalability of Zafran due to our large asset count and the substantial amount of information we needed to process."
"Users get confused between VPR and CVSS ratings."
"They need to have more dependable and faster support."
"The user interface could be improved by being able to change the user interface to fit your position or your job. The graphs are set in stone and you can only print reports."
"More flexibility is required compared to other solutions."
"It's not a user-friendly tool since it has a complicated interface."
"t needs additional reporting and intelligence features, as well as enhancements in AI-driven detection, which is still in its early stages."
"An area of improvement for this solution is being able to customize the dashboard. For example, the dashboard does not allow us to view a previous months vulnerability results alongside current results to make comparisons."
"It can have more integration."
"It would be extremely helpful to have a community group around the product."
"Initially, when onboarding Vulcan Cyber, the setup and configuration was more complex than expected with a user-friendly approach. This aspect can be enhanced."
"The performance is bad. The query and the UI are always slow, and it's quite frustrating. Vulcan is trying to solve this with a newer design. The dashboard is also crowded. It pulls in all this raw information that you need to filter. Vulcan has filtering capabilities, but they're hard to manage. The labels aren't very clear, so you need to do things by trial and error. It's not as easy as other tools we've been using."
"I would rate the tool between six and seven because there have been instances when the tool was down, and I couldn't access Cyber reports. Additionally, the Vulcan Cyber team made changes to the tool and did not notify us."
"An important area is performance and speed, as Vulcan Cyber often lacks speed when exporting reports."
"Improvements are needed in providing more concise details on how to apply remedies for particular vulnerabilities."
"Monitoring of the evolution of campaigns and perhaps having more customized options for monitoring them would be great."
"Their support is good, but there are some flaws as well."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The product costs us around $137,000 annually for 4000 to 5000 assets."
"Tenable charges around $40 per device."
"The cost is determined by the number of endpoints, which is approximately one dollar per endpoint."
"A yearly payment has to be made toward the solution's licensing costs."
"Tenable.io Vulnerability Management's pricing solution model isn't great."
"Compared to other VM solutions, Tenable.io Vulnerability Management is expensive."
"Tenable.io is not known for being a cheap product."
"There are additional features that can be licensed for an additional cost."
"Our leadership knows better about the pricing. As per my knowledge, which might not be accurate, its price can come down."
"Its pricing is quite fair compared to what is out there in the market, especially compared to the tool from Microsoft. It is a SaaS platform that has an annual cost, so it is something that is already used by many companies. It is quite affordable."
