Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The product is easy to use.""QuickBase reminds me when a software license or a hardware support contract is near expiration so that I can initiate our company's procurement process in time and not miss a deadline.""The reporting tool: It helps in data analytics to provide the solution more efficiency.""QuickBase is an excellent product and it is very easy to get support.""We have made good use of the ability in QuickBase to add multiple apps for various departments and purposes, while some apps are shared.""Considering factors like functionality and price, the product proves to be worth the investment.""It has superb ease of use and no code needed to create and build apps and databases.""Allows users have anytime/anywhere access."

"I like UKG's integration.""I have found the most valuable feature to be business intelligence and Cognos reporting.""It is much easier to use and the customer service is better than our previous solution.""The employee self-service feature is most valuable. This is the restaurant industry, and they have a mobile app that allows employees to go in and manage their data. So, employees can manage direct deposit accounts, emergency contacts, and other things in the app. That's definitely the biggest benefit.""The most valuable feature is being able to get time management reports which break out reclassified jobs and departments to separate areas of the company. This allows for better tracking of hours spent in certain jobs and where more hours may be needed.""The fact that I can see the whole HR information in a single point is valuable. There is a unified view of everything, which is good. Previously, we had many different systems for each part of the information. Now, it is all centralized. It is very good.""The solution has improved our organization by helping us cut hours and lessen our labor force. It saved us probably over $100,000 in just the last couple of years.""It enables us to manage the system ourselves. We don't need an additional team to do a lot of maintenance and add the things that we want."

Cons
"The product works constantly to modernize the platform and they have made quite a lot of strides in that. I would like them to add additional features that would help us make API calls.""Access to more standard default layouts and sample builds would be useful, and access to more training on use and flexibility.""It would be beneficial for the QuickBase team to focus on improving the integration of cloud-based storage platforms within their product. In use cases like ours, where QuickBase serves as a centralized source of truth for construction projects, having seamless integration with platforms like Dropbox or OneDrive would greatly enhance the product's capabilities.""Its UI needs improvement. They should improve it and make it a little bit more modern. We should also be able to have more real-time information that connects with other software platforms. It has an open API, but it doesn't always connect with some of the other platforms that we would like to utilize. These are probably two of the biggest things for us, and hopefully, they will keep ensuring that in the future, they continually build QuickBase to be a little bit more efficient in that regard.""I would like the product to add more working processes."". For example, we need a third-party to create and save a document in PDF, MS Word, or MS Excel format. The document saving capability is probably the feature that we most often have to procure from an outside provider.""This rule: The Maximum is 60 rules. We need to provide more in order to improve.""Third-party integration -- they are working on it and I find their brand-new still-in-beta Webhooks very promising."

"The solution could use better reporting with standard reports. We use the Cognos platform in BI for a lot of our reporting. However, they need to have more robust standard reporting available to their user base.""Certainly, the time and attendance and the payroll integration need a lot of work. They are disjointed pieces, and they don't work smoothly together. That's the main drawback.""Reporting is always a hurdle for any user just because it is so extensive. They provide a lot of out-of-the-box reports, but it is something that you always need to work on because you need more advanced writing of reports.""I would like to see more functionality in the next release to be able to get hours and dollars per calendar month rather than just by payroll in the Business Intelligence reports.""UKG could be a little more flexible in some areas.""I would like the capability to use UKG as a single platform without the need to alternate between systems.""One area where UKG could improve is in its ability to understand its own competency and then work hard to improve it.""The navigation on the screen could be better. Sometimes, I have to dig a little bit deep to find what I need. Everything is there. It just needs to be a little bit smoother."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "The pricing for QuickBase is pretty straightforward, It is based on a per user/per month licensing fee."
  • "We felt the pricing and licensing for QuickBase were easy enough to understand, fair and competitive."
  • "Quickbase is probably not the cheapest app out there. That said, it is worth its weight in gold. There is no other app that I know of in the market today that can do what Quickbase does."
  • "You have to negotiate the price because it varies based on the number of users you have, as well as how much cloud storage space you need."
  • "It is probably about 300 per license per person. There is just the licensing cost. There are no additional costs."
  • "The product is cheap when compared to other products."
  • "The pricing for the tier my company used included ten seats and the subcontractor, amounting to approximately $18,000 USD per year."
  • "The solution is expensive and geared toward enterprise-level clients."

  • "I wasn't involved in the pricing part. I'm a user, and I believe it is based on the user count. One thing that is nice about Ultimate is that you can learn how to use the system without additional fees. The learning aspect is the life of a product, and the training was a huge reason why we went with Ultimate. We did have some integration costs. They were a part of the implementation because of the integrations to other systems that we included in our implementation."
  • "While I am unsure of the licensing cost itself, the total cost of implementation and licensing for a company with over 5000 employees would be around 6,00,000. So, there are additional costs beyond licensing."
