Centralized collaboration has transformed API testing and documentation across multiple teams
In terms of improvement, the UI can sometimes feel heavy for larger collections in the workspaces. Additionally, performance may slow down with complex API projects, and pricing can be expensive for smaller teams. However, it is quite suitable for bigger teams. Other areas for improvement include better reporting and analytics dashboards, and more advanced native test environment features could enhance workflow, with smoother offline support and sync handling. Additionally, better performance for very large collections would be helpful, along with more intuitive navigation for enterprise-scale workspaces, stronger reporting analytics, easier management of permissions across large teams, and more flexible automation and testing report options would be beneficial. Small usability and performance improvements would make Postman Enterprise even more efficient for larger organizations. Postman Enterprise needs better performance optimization for large enterprises, more detailed analytics user reporting, improved API governance and audit visibility, simpler permissions and access control management, faster sync and loading times for larger collections, and more advanced built-in testing and reporting capabilities.

Facilitates seamless integration while offering room for OpenShift flexibility
I am still a reseller for IBM products today. I focus on integration solutions. For integration, my clients are using CP4I. For CP4I, I'm using ACE-S, API Connect, and MQ. These are the three products I'm selling from IBM. My clients are using IBM App Connect on-premises. I basically sell open source, specifically Red Hat Integration for integration purposes. Red Hat Integration is part of the Red Hat Integration bundle, which includes two different software solutions bundled together with Red Hat. It's bundled with the OpenShift plus the foundation. I am a Principal Solution Architect. I would be available for them to reach out by email for any questions or comments regarding my review. I want to be a reference for them. I rate Red Hat Integration an eight out of ten.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Postman Enterprise has impacted our organization positively because on a day-to-day basis, when we are developing APIs for different services, we have to validate the different APIs, and when we design this, we should not impact the old ones, therefore we have these collections useful in Postman Enterprise that we can share across team members so they can validate if anything is wrong in the existing when we are trying to push the new code, which helps us avoid recreating it and saves time and avoids errors, especially when we are debugging issues."
"It is stable and does not lag."
"Postman allows you to incorporate and export the test cases we create. It enables me to share the test cases with my colleagues, so I don't have to copy them into an Excel sheet. Postman lets me export the dataset and share it with my team. They can use my test case for their testing."
"Postman helps to write pre-request scripts and make a collection out of each request. You don’t have to spend time writing or copying the requests. The solution lets you integrate multiple environments and their features. Either the tool’s pro or premium version lets you do the merge and pull request for the Git directly."
"Postman is a great solution and resource for those who are new to technical platforms in terms of API development and testing."
"The initial setup of this solution is straightforward. Postman can be used as an extension in Google Chrome for those who do not wish to install it directly. Deployment took an hour and a half."
"With Postman you can do automation, automation has increased efficiency by more than 30% or 40%, and because the speed has increased, it's also possible for us to do in-sprint automation testing."
"Good at simulating the API code from a fictitious client application to check API behavior."
"The most valuable features of Red Hat Integration lie in its ease of customization for business needs and the flexibility to design workflows according to specific requirements."
"Real-time event streaming is good because you can do real-time data insight, monitor any event that happens, take the action, and provide a real-time dashboard based on certain data."

Cons

"To get this email reporting function, we have to integrate Postman with Newman. If the two are not integrated, we won't be getting all these things in one group."
"The reporting could be better. It should give you a detailed PDF report after you run a test."
"Initially, the setup is a little bit complex"
"Version management could be simplified."
"Since I am using the free tier, one improvement would be to increase the number of requests you can send in a short time period."
"The solution has some user interface difficulties when conducting environment collections. It is important to be careful when storing information to ensure files are secure and not lost."
"Postman could be improved by providing options for performance testing of APIs."
"I would like to have a code snippet where I can write a code and for the responses of the endpoints to be validated using my custom business conditions."
"The performance of a few computations for the message broker version could be more stable."
"The disadvantage of Red Hat Integration is that it has to be tightly coupled to the OpenShift platform, so I couldn't run it on any platform other than OpenShift."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"We use the open-source version. They introduced a new licensing model where your company must subscribe to their services if you're using it for business purposes. However, I think they charge too much if you're only using the basic features. It limits what your organization can do if you're not a paying customer."
"The solution's price is reasonable."
"I use the tool's free version."
"It is free."
"The solution is open-source and free."
"We are using the free version that is available."
"We are using its free version."
"Postman is a free service."
"It is an expensive platform and not suitable for small companies."
