Continuous skills tracking has transformed team development and now drives data-based decisions
In my opinion, the best features Pluralsight offers are the Skill IQ assessments, which are probably what I would fight hardest to keep if someone tried to take the platform away. Being able to say to a manager, 'Here is exactly where your team's skills are. Here is the data,' changes the conversation from opinion to fact. That is powerful. The hands-on labs and the new AI sandbox are also genuinely impressive. A developer can spin up a real environment and actually practice what they just learned without any risk to production systems. That is not something every platform offers. The Iris AI assistant is newer, but it has been well-received. It helps learners when they get stuck rather than just leaving them to figure it out alone. It is having a tutor available at midnight when you are grinding through a course. Pluralsight has positively impacted my organization by tracking certification completions before and after adoption. In the year before, we had maybe eight certifications across the whole tech team. In the first year after rolling out Pluralsight, we had 31. That is a number I can put in front of leadership and they understand it immediately.

Structured learning has built strong technical and HR skills across our growing teams
Udemy Business offers multiple features such as tracking how many lessons you have completed and whether you have given the required assessments. It divides the content into modules which is very beneficial, and after each module, there is an assessment that checks your understanding of the topic, making your understanding clearer, better, and more functional. When I was learning, particularly in the large Angular course, each module would have questions related to it, asking how a component is created or what the shortcut commands are. These concepts are initially difficult to remember, but when I started giving exams, I began to reconcile that information, leading to better retention and understanding as I worked in an enterprise culture. Udemy Business has positively impacted my organization by significantly improving productivity and skill development. If individuals learn from scattered platforms like YouTube, the content is spread out, requiring them to watch videos from multiple creators. In contrast, Udemy Business provides modular courses that offer a clearer understanding. The onboarding process has improved because previously people were gathering information from various platforms, but after using Udemy Business, we provided new hires with a course. They complete it, do the assessment, and acquire about ninety percent of the technical knowledge they need easily, allowing them to ask questions and clarify doubts with seniors afterwards. I have learned a variety of valuable skills and certifications from Udemy Business, including Docker, Angular by Maximilian, SAP-related courses, React by Hitesh Choudhary, Kubernetes, and full-stack development by Angela Yu, among others. There is a structured process for ongoing skill development and upskilling, where technical seniors identify the best courses based on team needs, such as transitioning to React Native, allowing for efficient training plans that suit our organization. The AI capability of Udemy Business is very good, and its governance is strong as it tracks user engagement with the modules, checking if users complete them in time without skipping lectures. The reliability and accuracy of output from Udemy Business are very great, at one hundred percent. The platform consistently provides perfect responses, eliminating the need for extensive searches for desired content, and the courses are frequently updated by their creators.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The entire curriculum needs to be systematically organized into sections, allowing for a seamless resumption of learning."
"Pluralsight's Forrester Wave recognition this year felt well-deserved from where I sit, as it is the strongest tech skills platform I have worked with, and I have seen a few."
"The value is good because Pluralsight provides a common platform for all learning materials and is customizable to organizations' needs."
"We are happy with the tool's skill assessment. It helps with skill enhancement, competency, and company development."
"The UI is user-friendly."
"The fact that I could pause the training and restart another day was convenient."
"We find the courses with high ratings and popularity to be most valuable. If the content is applicable, we encourage team members to use it. Regarding skill assessment, I haven't used that feature much, but we've done a few trainings with evaluations, which have been helpful for learning."
"Udemy Business has positively impacted my organization by providing the ability for everyone to get to the same level that the company expects."
"The main advantage of Udemy Business is its region-based learning. For example, if a learner from India wants to learn technology, they can find instructors from India who understand their learning style and thought process. This makes learning easier and more relatable. Additionally, Udemy Business is a global platform, so learners can access courses from instructors worldwide. A person from the USA or someone with a higher skill set can create videos. Another advantage is the range of available courses, with no limitations on what you can learn. You can get the right content for the specific technology."
"The tool's most valuable feature is its cloud computing content. While Udemy Business offers training and knowledge across various areas, I use it for cloud computing technologies. Many videos and tutorials are available on this topic, which benefits me."
"I like the solution's training modules because the content is rich."
"For those passionate about computing, networking, or programming, Udemy is one of the best platforms to choose, as it offers affordable courses that you can take at your own pace."
"The most valuable features depend on the course. Some courses are informative, while others provide practical projects that you can modify to fit your needs. A specific project we are considering involves integrating new database technologies like Kafka into our existing systems. We'll analyze use cases to determine the best practices and apply these insights to our applications."
"The solution allows us to look at training at any time at our convenience. It has a mobile app, which we can easily access to take notes."
"The most valuable aspect is the hands-on experience it provides with labs, allowing real-world application and understanding of concepts beyond just theoretical knowledge."

Cons

"Improving the platform's ability to accommodate user queries would be beneficial for further enhancement."
"The navigation could be improved to be more user-friendly."
"The website is not up to date."
"The course quality was not very good for the information systems auditor and risk manager courses."
"Pluralsight can be improved because the content can feel uneven in places."
"I think the assessments in Pluralsight are already good, but it would be helpful if there were explanations for incomplete questions or for which we couldn't provide a proper answer."
"The product needs to become mobile-based. The number of courses is less compared to Udemy and Coursera."
"Most of the courses that I would also like to enroll myself in are not free."
"It would be helpful if Udemy Business used more video recordings in the training and incorporated virtual training sessions to connect trainees."
"We have faced some glitches with the product. The tool should increase its price and give access to two or three devices for the same content."
"We can have something like an organization account. Even for small groups, if we can have some account where we can create a group. Right now I either purchase a course license or attend free courses and then send the link to my team members to join from their accounts. Instead of that, maybe we can have a corporate or group account where we can add people and assign courses to them."
"Improvement is needed in categorizing courses based on skill levels, such as beginner, intermediate, and advanced."
"Udemy should offer more courses on network troubleshooting and provide easy lectures for everyone to understand, starting from the basics."
"The tool needs to improve courses on recent advancements."
"The tool must be made easier for new users."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"We pay for the license every month, subscription-wise."
"The tool's licensing costs are annual. It is optimal, neither expensive nor cheap."
"The cost is very high for Indian users."
"We have individual subscriptions for five to six users."
"The system provides good value for its cost, as evidenced by its widespread adoption across organizations of various sizes. Whether it's mid-level or high-level organizations, many are implementing it. Pricing is based on subscriptions and the number of users."
"The tool is very affordable."
"I suppose there is a license for the tool at the company level, but not for individuals."
"Udemy Business' pricing is moderate."
"The courses can be expensive."
"You can test the tool monthly and then switch to yearly licensing. The pricing is reasonable."
"I didn't take any licenses. I purchased courses."
