Versatile integrations and reliable customer satisfaction elevate cloud service experience
For Microsoft Azure improvement, they need to enhance their support system. The first level of support should be improved in terms of quality and response time. They need more technical support at the first level, as there are currently only one or two technical people among five to ten staff members at this level. They should ensure that the first level support is more technical because we normally provide services to technical users ourselves. When an issue arises, it usually escalates to the second or third level. When facing first level support, they may have limited knowledge and only collect screenshots to forward to their seniors. They should ensure that the first level support is aligned with L2 and L3 to better assist us, especially since we mention in the ticket that our issues are related to specific problems and require that sort of support.

The product is user-friendly and performs well, but it is very costly compared to other tools
We are a software development company. We recommend solutions to our clients, but they ask us to compare it with other solutions. Clients compare the monthly costs of Pantheon with other servers and ask us to create the same environment in dedicated servers. If Pantheon reduces its cost, we can confidently suggest it to clients. Overall, I rate the tool a seven out of ten.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"From a compliance perspective, these things are much more user-friendly compared to other clouds."
"In my business operations, I assess Microsoft Azure's integration with Microsoft products as being highly beneficial since we use either API connections or native connections."
"The solution is fantastic, with Teams, the works."
"All services in the cloud are easy to set up, the services are ready to use from the outset."
"The time to market is fast compared back to the traditional on-premise hosting, which is one of the better things I can say because there is no need to worry, as the Pack services will enable it to start immediately."
"The analytics services are the most valuable aspect of the solution."
"There are several products within Azure."
"Overall, it offers a better way to move the applications and monitor or configure the applications with higher availability."
"The product allows users to create multiple development environments."
"Pantheon has the most valuable workflow model."

Cons

"While Microsoft Azure is user-friendly, some of the other cloud products I use are more user-friendly."
"It is constantly updating. There are weekly releases, sometimes daily releases, and there should be fewer that are consolidated into one."
"What we experienced after two years with an Azure subscription is that there is good knowledge in Microsoft Partners for Azure, but generally they are too specialized and could not cover everything, because they always miss something related for example to networking, database, web apps, security, or integration on Azure."
"The solution could improve the stability. However, this could be a configuration issue that we are not been trained."
"They need to make storage easy and offer more interconnectivity between solutions."
"The deployment was quite complex. It's not easy to implement."
"The design could be a little bit better, the technical support could be better, and the price could be even cheaper."
"The pricing could be better."
"The Multidev environment is very costly compared to other tools like AWS and GCP."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"We pay a monthly licensing fee for the solution, which could be cheaper."
"Microsoft Azure is expensive."
"The cost-benefit equation for Azure is very good, particularly for small applications. However, Microsoft should do much, much more to improve how costs are communicated and how to forecast them. The Azure Pricing Calculator is not useful."
"The monthly costs become very reasonable because of the discounts you get on longer reserved instances."
"The tool is cheap."
"We pay our bill in a monthly or 6 monthly billing cycle. The cost depends on how much you use during the period."
"Monthly billing convenience reduced cost overheads up to 70 percent."
"I believe that we have a three-year license, and I'm happy with the pricing."
"The platform has reasonable pricing compared to other systems."
