Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"It has worked fine for many years.""The most valuable feature of JD Edwards World is its ease of use and unique functions.""I think JDE ERP is very flexible and very convenient for the users. I think EnterpriseOne is more convenient for users to do the inquiry and do the data entry. The UI is better than JDE World. For JDE products, including the World version, is very flexible. It's a good product for clients.""The pricing is okay. It's not overly expensive.""The most valuable feature for me is the traceability customization, which allows me to track the movement and history of artifacts in our ecosystem.""I like that JD Edwards World is perfect for my use cases, but what I like best about it is its navigation.""Menu creation is easier now.""We've found the initial setup to be easy."

"The solution's integration between Teams, SharePoint, and Exchange Online is really helpful.""This is readily available and affordable, as well as user-friendly and simple to use in my opinion.""The solution can scale.""The most valuable feature of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is its ease of use, data customization, and smooth integration.""The initial setup is pretty straightforward.""It is a stable solution.""The customer support is good. The first level of support agent in every case was able to solve the problem very quickly.""The solution is easy to use, flexible, and customizable."

Cons
"I would like report creation to be easier.""Update interface capabilities and data maintenance tools to modern standards.""Improvements are needed in transitioning JD Edwards World to a more stable and reliable cloud product, particularly in terms of GDPR and data privacy compliance.""Its end of life is already announced, so I don't expect lots of improvement coming from the product anywhere anymore.""There are a lot of new technologies coming out and JD Edwards World could improve by having better integration with other databases. The integration with the databases and applications should be in real-time, such as with Oracle.""The integration technology could be stronger at this point.""World is old, so everybody is looking to just upgrade or migrate from it.""There is no support from Oracle here. We only have third-party support."

"I wouldn't say that Microsoft Dynamics is very scalable.""In the next release, I would like to see a quality check module - Navision doesn't have one, and the industry very much requires it.""One aspect that could be improved in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is the visibility and accessibility of communication-related features, such as email integration.""Any request that had come from the website had to go through an e-form which was then plugged into Microsoft Dynamics NAV. There was no direct data capture. That was the pain point, where clients had to build e-forms, and that caused delays in transactions and getting information.""Its task scheduling and manufacturing models need improvement.""The stability could always be improved.""Microsoft Dynamics NAV will be replaced with Office 365 in the future.""I work in Pakistan, and many people want desktop solutions. They don't want to work on the cloud. They want a strictly on-premises solution."

  • "The pricing for JD Edwards World could be more affordable."
  • "You have to pay for a license, and the license cost is calculated based on the number of users you have."

  • "The first time we tried to buy the newest version, it was expensive."
  • "I have some subscription-based customer and a few customers who have perpetual licenses that hosted the application on the cloud."
  • "The price of the solution is reasonable."
  • "The price of the solution is reasonable."
  • "I think the pricing is the best; it's cost effective for sure."
  • "Microsoft Dynamics NAV has a pay-as-you-use payment model."
  • "NAV might be a little pricey for a small or medium-sized company, but all the solutions out there are."
  • "The cost is one of the benefits. If you don't want to go for the full-blown finance and operations, the pricing model is a lot cheaper and has now switched to being based on a per-user subscription. So, if it's on cloud, you now have an expense instead of a large CapEx. If it's on-prem, you obviously still have to continue with the licensing model that they have, but if you compare the features and functionality, in terms of the price that you pay, I find it's better than other products. My answer on the pricing would be slightly different, depending on the country you're in and the return on investment, based on the size of the company. It's well-priced internationally. I think the new model is priced even better because it's now subscription-based and, if you go for cloud, the return on investment is a lot quicker and if it's expense, you can cap it. If you do take the on-prem version, the licensing is still priced as what it used to be, so that would depend on what country you are in."
