Reliable cloud backups have protected client data and restore operations run quickly and smoothly
One of the issues we ran into with Infrascale Cloud Backup is compression. Infrascale Cloud Backup does not support compression for the cloud when performing backups, which is one of the crucial things we needed for some of our clients. Pricing would be helpful for Infrascale Cloud Backup. Compared to other vendors and other cloud solutions, it is more expensive. If the prices improve and Infrascale Cloud Backup enables compression, that will help us considerably.

Backup operations have become reliable and reporting now simplifies hybrid cloud protection
Veeam Data Platform has Veeam Enterprise Manager as well as Veeam ONE as valuable features, which allow us to generate various kinds of reports that are required for the customer. Instant VM Recovery is a good feature of the high-speed recovery features in Veeam Data Platform, and Continuous Data Protection (CDP) is also a good feature. Ransomware protection is a good feature added in Veeam Data Platform from version 12 onwards, and the ability to create immutable repositories is also a good feature in Veeam. The analytics part of Veeam Data Platform is a good solution because I have worked on various backup technologies such as EMC NetWorker and NetBackup. However, I have not used the analytical parts currently but will check it out. Streamlining processes as well as saving money are benefits that Veeam Data Platform provides for the end user, as it allows for application-aware backups and database backups without the need for various kinds of licenses that other backup software requires. Veeam offers socket-based licenses, instance-based licenses, and capacity-based licenses, which is a great feature.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The best features Infrascale Cloud Backup offers are a quick, dependable, and secure site."
"This is very user-friendly."
"One thing we like about the product is that it's good and not as expensive as similar products. Right now, there are different ways to back up your information—you can back up directly to a disk or the cloud. It allows you to have various kinds of repositories."
"The solution is very user-friendly."
"Get only one interface to manage all backup sites, secure them with replication, and manage outside LTO media."
"Replication is the most valuable feature."
"The most valuable feature is the ability to restore the VMs into a test environment."
"Its portability and being able to back up between different platforms are the most valuable features."
"If you say no to Veeam One, at least implement it in your Lab environment, it will change your mind."

Cons

"One of the issues we ran into with Infrascale Cloud Backup is compression. Infrascale Cloud Backup does not support compression for the cloud when performing backups, which is one of the crucial things we needed for some of our clients."
"The pricing could be improved."
"One common customer complaint is that Veeam, not just Veeam ONE, has become increasingly complex over time. This means that it is now very feature-rich, which can be challenging for some users to navigate and understand. There is a need for more education on how to use the GUI and all of the available features. Even regular users of Veeam may struggle to utilize the new features, which makes it more challenging for backup administrators to manage their backups. The platform is not becoming simpler, but rather, it is becoming more complicated over time."
"The price can be better."
"When you have some small issues, you should be able to go through it by yourself and solve the issue instead of opening the ticket and waiting for the engineers to troubleshoot."
"Veeam's biggest limitation is the lack of integration. I can't use the tool because there is no integration between the tool and the environment."
"The escalation from first, second to third tier is sometimes very long-lasting, but the resolve rate is quite high."
"It would be beneficial to have enhanced solutions for database backup, particularly for Oracle databases in the context of SAP systems."
"Not sure, but maybe the weakest area is around integration with tape libraries at times."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"A nice aspect of Veeam's pricing is that the cost benefit is good. It's very economical."
"The price is slightly higher than its competitors."
"If you have Exchange, Oracle, SQL, or a supported SAN, then I suggest getting at least an Enterprise edition. It’ll pay for itself in no time."
"The price is a bit high."
"Veeam has a ten-license package gives you two physical and two virtual servers you can use on any endpoint."
"Veeam ONE is cheaper when you compare it with one of its competitors in the ops space, VMware vRealize Operations. There's a separate department that deals with the licensing, but my company is using CSP licensing, which is the service provider licensing, so my company doesn't fall under the normal volume at the Veeam Universal licensing program. The cost is commit-based and depends on what your point commit is. The point commit works differently, and it's similar to your sales provider license. If you commit to using one thousand five hundred points, you get a certain price. If you commit to using the eight hundred points scheme, you get a certain price. As you grow the point scheme, you get a different price range, so it doesn't matter whether you're using Veeam One, Veeam Availability Suite, Veeam Backup and Replication, Orchestrate, or whatever the product is."
"It is reasonably very cheap. I would rate the licensing model a one out of ten, where one is very affordable and ten is extremely expensive."
"I would say that the product is fairly priced."
