If customers want to change the color or the logo, they have to go through every page to verify everything is right. We have a strategic approach for the customer. I was involved in almost 100 sessions where the customers were looking for a one-time process visualization or one-time process mining, not for a long-term association with this tool. The customer's requirements are more tactical than strategic. We had some challenges during this time frame as I was with iGrafx, and electricity costs rose in Germany. One customer stopped a large deal because they had to reduce every non-invested investment due to the electricity bill rising by 500% to 800%.

No-code workflows have streamlined daily operations and support seamless cross-application automation
Microsoft Power Automate's no-code workflows help my team in daily operations to a great extent. Automating a particular activity may not be so useful, but when you connect the whole workflow, then it starts helping a lot. I cannot say much about the best features in Microsoft Power Automate because I have not used it personally, but first of all, it is very easy, it is a low-code platform, and Microsoft has a lot of integration with Microsoft technologies, making it very easy to connect with MS Teams and different Microsoft products, including MS Azure. From that point of view, it provides a lot of connectivity options. From a cost point of view, Mendix is much more costly compared to Microsoft Power Platform, allowing us to develop applications very quickly.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"iGrafx is the most comprehensive way to have all the cross-feeds and the documents related to workflows, like cross-notes."
"We think iGrafx is well-priced, affordable; you don’t need a lot of license seats, and it has a good, free, downloadable iGrafx Viewer (akin to Adobe Reader)."
"The solution is very stable."
"We found the technical support to be helpful."
"The solution's most beneficial feature is the 360 approach, where documentation, process mining, simulation, and automation capabilities are in one solution."
"The IDEF0 add-on solution truly integrates all the process maps through intelligent arrow name management."
"This product fulfills ninety percent of our needs, and we're happy as users of it."
"If you need software to help you easily design processes, make simulations, build value stream mappings, which has some LEAN features, and DMAIC support, I strongly encourage you to go forward and buy iGrafx."
"Power Automate, compared to Softomotive's product, offers the most in terms of versatility."
"Overall, I would give Microsoft Power Automate a nine out of ten."
"Its complete integration with Microsoft tools and the inclusion of the CRM are the most valuable features."
"Power Automate is a much less expensive product than the competition and you can still accomplish a lot with it."
"Microsoft Power Automate is very easy to use, very complete with a lot of activities available, intuitive, and it seems very stable."
"Microsoft Power Automate is a no-code platform which is very easy to learn, allowing businesses to build their own small automations."
"The product provides valuable integration with other Microsoft tools."
"Instead of manually triggering payments through the website, everything was done through robotic process automation (RPA), saving us a lot of time."

Cons

"Dragging and dropping shapes is not as user-friendly as in Visio. In Visio, it's very easy to work with shapes and in very few minutes you can plot a whole, multi swim-lane, cross-functional process."
"With iGrafx, the implementation and the licensing were pretty complex."
"In the next release, I would like to see more layers like three, four, and five. It might be possible but I haven't seen it yet."
"There are a few areas iGrafx which could improve, probably the biggest area would be to support iOS as well as PC, so clients don’t have to emulate PC on an iOS platform."
"It would be nice to have a Spanish user interface available to us."
"They can reduce the cost of the product and make it easily accessible for consultants."
"Visio is more user-friendly."
"I would like to see a lower price, although when used correctly, you can have a good return on your investment."
"If you don't have that level of support then you are basically on your own."
"The product should improve its RPA capabilities."
"The downside is the lack of orchestration and supplemental tools such as capturing existing processes and using them to build out."
"I need to have more integration capabilities from this solution. It's limiting us right now."
"I've had issues with reordering columns. When I tried to do it, it seemed to take a long time, and then, later, it gave me some kind of error."
"We need a more powerful desktop option."
"The solution's licensing model is very complex and not straightforward."
"More OCR and AI capabilities are needed to improve the solution. Other solutions have better features, such as Blue Prism and UiPath."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The licensing part is one of the problems. Its licensing depends on the number of users, so it sometimes gets expensive."
"My company is trying to replace iGrafx because the license is a little bit expensive."
"I have heard that the solution's pricing is very competitive."
"Earlier, the licensing part was complex because there were so many modules and elements in the tool. Over the last one and a half years, a lot of work has gone into how the product has priced and positioned its tools in the market."
"Our license is a subscription-based model that is per user. The solution is not expensive, I believe a subscription-based model is $10 per user."
"We are using the free version of Power Automate."
"It costs us nothing because we use it on the built-in cost that is a part of our existing license for 365. To use it more extensively, there are different pricing models. Its licensing is complex. It is complex to evaluate the cost in advance. As a result, people don't use it because they don't know what overall cost they are going to incur. There are too many criteria to figure out how much it is going to cost you to use the product to its full extent. Its licensing model should be improved, and the pricing should be more visible and transparent."
"My company switched to a monthly payment for the WinAutomation by Softomotive license. I don't have the exact figure, but it roughly amounts to 500 Euros a year which isn't bad."
"We have it on our system. I don't really know if we need a separate license."
"There are many different ways to license it."
"It depends and varies a lot according to the licensing terms. There is no cost to maintain if we have less than 10 forms. Microsoft only charges if there are more than 10 forms. So, most of the companies can survive without paying anything extra. It is included in the Office 365 licensing."
"Microsoft Power Automate is part of our Office 365 package, there are no additional licensing costs."
"The price of the solution is reasonable. I rate the pricing a five out of ten."
