On the identity product side, it is awesome. However, they can improve in the documentation parts. For example, if there is a migration process, I can see the maximum customers are moving from self-hosted to on-premises or from on-premises to the cloud. It would be helpful if they released a generalized document for processes such as migration. A clear overview document would assist us in understanding more about the tool, configurations, and automations to enhance our security. Regarding the initial setup of CyberArk Identity, I faced some challenges. At some points, I could not find proper documentation for deploying, enhancing, or integrating with other components. I could not find the proper documentation in the community portal.

Positive feedback highlights lightweight design and compatibility while suggesting more AI integration
I think Silverfort is actually a really good product. Silverfort helps identify blind spots in your identity and access management, covering areas that traditional systems don't, such as command line tools. It checks your Active Directory authentication and continues only if the check is okay, plus it works with older protocols such as NTLM, which is a significant advantage. The product is fairly new, but it's great; it's lightweight and agent-based, acting as a bridge between your Active Directory and any other application, with no impact on the applications. Silverfort is one of the few vendors that offers a free POC, and usually the customer ends up taking it, as they've lost very few deals in this manner. It's complementary to other tools you may have, whether they are TAM solutions such as Delinea or Xerox. Silverfort also has a lightweight adapter for domain controllers, and it finds gaps in security. Its capabilities are expanding regularly, with new features voted on every few months. For companies with large Active Directory implementations and zero staff, Silverfort provides instant results in identifying risks and blind spots. It also includes built-in virtual features, and while I don't know the exact pricing, it's not expensively priced, making it an attractive option.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"I find the CyberArk Identity portal quite intuitive; it has changed a lot over the last year and a half and if you think logically and understand your environment, it is easy to establish a suitable setup for yourself and all your vendors."
"The feature that we find most valuable is the ability to integrate multiple IDs for on-premises Active Directory."
"The support of CyberArk Identity is really good."
"The tool is a very strong and valuable enterprise solution, particularly in ensuring the continuity of service."
"As soon as it is implemented, it fundamentally changes how users access systems, providing immediate security benefits."
"The features are really powerful, providing really good SSO and MFA features and implementation capability, plus an MDM solution, and the cloud-based setup is simple and scalable."
"The straight-through approach of CyberArk Identity is very easy to start with; after you start with it, you can very easily onboard your privileged accounts, and from there on, you can advance further and make it more and more secure."
"The user identification is simplified, and managing user privileges, whether adding or revoking them, is also quite straightforward when utilizing CyberArk SaaS."
"Silverfort helps identify blind spots in your identity and access management, covering areas that traditional systems don't, such as command line tools."

Cons

"The product is not cheap, especially if you opt for an on-premise deployment requiring a complex server infrastructure. On the other hand, choosing the software as a service version simplifies infrastructure requirements but necessitates being online all the time."
"I faced some challenges during the initial setup of CyberArk Identity. At some points, I could not find proper documentation for deploying, enhancing, or integrating with other components."
"In terms of a governance platform, it's worth noting that CyberArk doesn't offer a particularly strong one."
"Something they could improve is the management of multifactor authentication. When you translate the page from one language to another, it can be a difficult process."
"Some areas experience slowness based on the workload. There's a need to enhance network performance despite the good user experience with access management."
"When you translate the page from one language to another, it can be a difficult process. The translation isn't always good, and it may have a completely different name. I've noticed this in the English to Spanish translation."
"They can include the Mobile Device Management (MDM) feature."
"The reporting functionality is somewhat complicated."
"If Silverfort could integrate a gentle type of AI similar to Microsoft Copilot or enable workflow creation similar to Salesforce, it would further improve user navigation, even though the platform is already simple."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Their pricing is obviously a lot higher than many vendors in the marketplace but their service is also unmatched."
"I would rate the tool’s pricing a seven out of ten. The product’s pricing is expensive and is on a yearly basis. You will need to pay around 10,000 GBP for 500 users."
"It's not that affordable compared to Delinea or other products. They're less expensive and allow more customization. For the cost, it is expensive."
"We find that the pricing and licensing of this solution is adequate, as compared to the other competitors in the market."
"The pricing of CyberArk Identity is competitive."
"There is an initial license and then there is a subscription needed."
"The solution is cheap and I rate its pricing an eight out of ten."
"There could be some additional costs apart from the licensing costs of the solution when you want to develop connectors in CyberArk Identity."
