Experience with robust integrator reveals strong performance and potential for interface updates
Based on my experience and my clients' feedback, there are a few points IBM can improve for IBM B2B Integrator. One of these is the graphical user interface. For several years, IBM has been promising to renew this interface, which has an ancient, old aesthetic, though it contains many functionalities. Creating a new interface would incur a very high internal cost with no new profitability for IBM. This is one of the points where customers say it feels like working in the 1990s with this interface. Another significant issue is that the platform is not multi-tenant. It's not possible to have different tenants in the cloud. This creates problems when trying to create SaaS offers based on IBM B2B Integrator, as there is the possibility that some workflow for a customer can be visible to another one. Since it's not multi-tenant, it's running on the same tenant of the platform. This is the main issue that the platform has.

Effective business process handling with some room for improvement in mapping ease and user interactions
IBM Sterling B2B Integration Services does not have specific issues that need improvement. While each product, like SeeBurger and IBM Sterling B2B Integration Services, has its own advantages and disadvantages, I do not see any challenges or improvements needed. Although, mapping might be a bit easier in SeeBurger compared to IBM Sterling B2B Integration Services.

Integration architecture has enabled reliable multi-channel messaging and secure API management but now needs better analytics and simpler development
In my opinion, the real-time analytics part of Mule ESB is not up to the mark for the decision-making process. While there are some analytics features, they lack the standards needed for enterprise use. Compared to other analytics tools such as Power BI, MuleSoft falls short.Points for improvement in Mule ESB definitely include enhancing the analytics capabilities because currently, they rely on external logging tools such as Splunk or ELK, which is lagging behind compared to other tools such as Workato that offer more analytical features. Additionally, issues arise with AI-based use cases due to dependencies on Salesforce tools such as agent force, making development more complicated when it should be more independent. Developing AI-based agents without being tied to Salesforce applications could also enhance functionality.

Cons

"The communication logs are very poor. They are not easily understood, and we need to navigate to many places for many reasons."
"It doesn't support the Turkish language now."
"The dashboard is not integrated and should be bundled by the product vendor."
"The initial setup is complex."
"API integration could be improved. The legacy system could be on the cloud."
"They do not have a solid partner ecosystem, and they do not have a clear roadmap for down the line; they're missing that clear roadmap."
"With Sterling Integrator, as it comes out of the box, there's not a lot of things that have been developed; a lot of it you have to develop yourself with BPML and developing APIs and things like that for web solutions and the front end."
"They do not have a solid partner ecosystem, and they do not have a clear roadmap for down the line; they're missing that clear roadmap."
"The setup is not straightforward, but it is fairly well documented."
"It can be now classified as a legacy system because there are no more updates. From what I know, there will be no updates for the current version, which is an issue. Therefore, we are looking for a compatible new software that we can use. We're currently researching what is there in the market. We would consider something that would give us better speed on our current processor. There is also room for improvement in terms of its scalability and GUI. It is an old system, and its scalability can be improved. Its GUI can also be more appealing."
"Onboarding on the solution is complex. It's hard to onboard partners and customer suppliers. It's one aspect that is not that straightforward."
"The only weaknesses they have different governance for each task and different channels for communication which are hard to maintain. The relation of the company with other companies can be improved. We have a lot of customers who this platform for the interchange of information which can also be improved. The compliance information about banks can also be updated."
"It can be now classified as a legacy system because there are no more updates. From what I know, there will be no updates for the current version, which is an issue."
"Onboarding on the solution is complex."
"They can improve APIs because they are still lagging behind in API connectivity."
"They can improve APIs because they are still lagging behind in API connectivity. With non-API connectivity, they're market leaders, but API connectivity, they're still in the immature space."
"The payment system needs improvement."
"In an upcoming release, I would like to see more additional concept for exception handling, batch processing, and increased integration with other application."
"It's not easy to troubleshoot and we still can't make it work."
"One area that could be improved is the way that policies are propagated when APIs are moved from one environment to another. It's an issue, but when you develop and test the rest APIs in a lower environment and need to move them, there's a propagation process. This process moves certain aspects of the APIs, like the basic features. But when we move them, the policies don't always move with them. The policies should be able to move so we don't have to redo them manually. There are some APIs we use, but it's a bit tedious."
"The Anypoint platform consumes a lot of memory, and it would be great for developers if it were more lightweight."
"Support, and with respect to licensing cost. Many of the customers feel that the licensing cost is much."
"MuleSoft isn't as mature as some other integration technologies out there like IBM WebSphere. There's room for growth, and MuleSoft is working toward that."
"We would like to have a built-in logging framework in which we can do auditing."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The solution is priced at $20,000 to $30,000 per year with no extra costs."
"The price of IBM B2B Integrator is too high. However, IBM may be willing to give a discount if there are negotiations. If they see that there is a good opportunity for them they can provide a discount."
"We pay an annual fee based on the number of VPUs. It's fairly reasonable. We're in the middle of analyzing other products, and they're all pretty much in the same range."
"The product costs more than 40K."
"The pricing is based on how many cores are used and the type of cores."
"Licensing depends upon the package you opt for within the solution. The solution is a bit costly compared to the other integration tools in the market."
"The tool is expensive because of its rich features."
"They have a good pricing system, in relation to powerful features."
"Pricing is a little bit on the higher side because they give you the best support. Out of ten, I would rate pricing at seven or eight."
"The price of the Mule ESB commercial version is expensive. However, they have a free community version."
"This is expensive. In my next project, we had to go to other vendor."
"This product is expensive, but it does offer value for money."
"The pricing must be improved."
"This product is cheaper than some offered by other vendors, although there is a problem because you have to pay for some third-party adapters."
"Mule ESB is an expensive solution."
"Regarding licensing and pricing, I find it somewhat flexible. They are more flexible with larger customers compared to small and medium ones, as their licensing model depends on ports and other factors. Large customers benefit from more flexibility in implementation and renewal compared to smaller ones."
"Mule ESB is a costly solution. We pay approximately $80,000 annually for the system. The cost of the number of instances, annual subscription, and cloud hosting services are expensive."
