Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The solution is extremely scalable.""We are able to monitor all B2B messages, and we are able to see or track each message on it from an error perspective. That's a good side of it. It is working well, and we're able to do our current job.""They have best-in-class, quality support."

"The solution is stable.""The initial setup was straightforward.""The solution is easy to use.""The solution provides very good and central logging systems. It offers high flexibility with vertical and horizontal extend capacity.""The most valuable features of SAP Process Orchestration are the standard APIs that we can use.""With the latest version what I find to be the most valuable are the REST, SuccessFactors, and Ariba Network adapters.""The standard adapter with EBA abilities is the most valuable feature. It has good process integration.""In my opinion, SAP PO is the most mature suite of tools to integrate processes across SAP environments at this moment. It's really unbeatable because it allows you to integrate whatever scenarios you can imagine."

Cons
"They can improve APIs because they are still lagging behind in API connectivity. With non-API connectivity, they're market leaders, but API connectivity, they're still in the immature space.""It can be now classified as a legacy system because there are no more updates. From what I know, there will be no updates for the current version, which is an issue. Therefore, we are looking for a compatible new software that we can use. We're currently researching what is there in the market. We would consider something that would give us better speed on our current processor. There is also room for improvement in terms of its scalability and GUI. It is an old system, and its scalability can be improved. Its GUI can also be more appealing.""Onboarding on the solution is complex. It's hard to onboard partners and customer suppliers. It's one aspect that is not that straightforward."

"It is not a scalable solution for the cloud. I would not recommend this for the cloud.""The solution could improve by making it more user-friendly by limiting the code required. We have to add some code in some cases where we need complex logic or some other functions. If this was able to be done in a more simplified manner then it would save a lot of effort and time.""I feel that support is an area that needs improvement. They need to improve the response time and address the customer's issues as soon as possible.""The solution is not very scalable because it is at the end of its life.""SAP Process Orchestration could improve from an API standpoint. This is not an API management tool, which is one of its drawbacks. However, SAP has released an SAP Cloud Platform Integration which has all of the features, such as API management along with process integration to replace what they had previously.""I think the main area that SAP PO should improve on is offering pre-delivered content like they do when you use SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI). SAP should not forget that they still have a lot of customers using Process Orchestration and they should focus more on providing pre-delivered content in SAP PO.""In terms of technical support, it would be helpful if they handled the tickets a bit faster when queries are sent to them.""The cloud capability features need improvement."

SAP NetWeaver Process Integration facilitates the integration of business processes that span different departments, organizations, or companies. SAP PI is based on general standards so as to enable 3rd-party systems to be integrated. At the center of SAP PI is an XML-based communication that uses HTTP (Hyper Text Transfer Protocol). Irrespective of the scenario used, the application-specific contents are transferred in messages in user-defined XML eXtensible Markup Language) from the sender to the receiver either via the Integration Server, or directly between the systems involved. SAP PI can be installed in different ways: Dual usage type installation: Based on both AS ABAP and AS Java. and Advanced Adapter Engine Extended (AEX): Based on AS Java only.
