Has plug-and-play capability once configured and good reporting system
The tool's most valuable features have been its plug-and-play capability once configured and its reporting system is good. The most improved feature of asset auditing is its physical logging of all software. This allows us to understand what software and applications are installed on endpoints. We can easily check which software applications are installed in the network infrastructure during client processing or audits.

Advanced threat prevention has strengthened incident response and customized security workflows
The biggest advantage of Trellix Endpoint Security Platform is the ATP solution, which provides advanced threat prevention. Machine learning algorithms are available in the product as part of the threat anti-malware, including predictive machine learning and behavioral analysis, which are integral to the anti-malware module of EPP. In terms of my experience with the machine learning algorithms for analysis and threat detection, we are analyzing logs provided by Trellix, but we are not able to conduct specific machine learning analysis on those logs. The automated response mechanisms in the products help with incident management because we have to create playbooks in Trellix console for automation, which we need to enable. The customizable dashboard of Trellix Endpoint Security Platform definitely contributes to the decision-making process, as we customize the dashboard according to customer requirements. When it comes to integration aspects, we are able to integrate Trellix Endpoint Security Platform with SIEM or SOAR solutions using the ePO console, which enhances threat detection capabilities. Reporting and analytics aspects have an impact on security posture assessment, as we are able to fetch reports in the ePO console customized according to customer requirements for downloading and sending via email.

Pros

"The tool's most valuable features have been its plug-and-play capability once configured and its reporting system is good. The most improved feature of asset auditing is its physical logging of all software. This allows us to understand what software and applications are installed on endpoints. We can easily check which software applications are installed in the network infrastructure during client processing or audits."
"Technical support is always available and very helpful."
"The setup is not that complex. It takes five to ten minutes to set up."
"The support from McAfee is far better than other vendors, such as Trend Micro and Symantec."
"The most valuable feature of Trellix Endpoint Security is its extensive customization capability, which allows me to create and deploy policies autonomously, suiting my individual needs."
"Centrally, from just one console, you can block malicious attacks across your environment."
"This product has the capability to check a wide range of vulnerabilities and devices."
"Tech support is responsive. They're good, the very best."
"McAfee has good support and they are very responsive."

Cons

"The tool needs to be more user-friendly."
"Technical support is an area that can be improved because sometimes, the response time is a bit slow and the explanation is short."
"It would be nice if the solution was a bit more stable."
"The user interface could be improved by making it more user-friendly. There are multiple solutions and there is no clear line differentiating all of them. There is a centralized console where we manage everything but most of the administrators feel a little confused when it comes to managing multiple products from a single place."
"It has very good integrations. However, its integration with Palo Alto was not good, and they seem to be working on it at the backend. It is not very resource-hungry, but it can be even better in terms of resource utilization. It could be improved in terms of efficiency, memory sizing, and disk consumption by agents."
"The local technical support could be better."
"The solution can be expensive."
"It can be quite complicated to learn McAfee Endpoint Security and to feel comfortable with the environment."
"Tech support is not as helpful as they were in the past."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"I rate the solution's pricing a five out of ten."
"The license costs are very reasonable, around 1,000 to 1,200 rupees per year."
"The product pricing is high."
"The pricing is mid-ranged and quite reasonable compared to other similar products."
"The pricing is reasonable."
"They should reduce the cost or make it free, open-source software."
"When comparing the solution to others it is a bit expensive. We are on a monthly license."
"Microsoft Defender is not cheap and from a cost perspective, Trellix Endpoint Security (ENS) is a better option."
"McAfee's prices are flexible and can be quite competitive, although there are other solutions that are even more so."
