Cloud automation has improved development efficiency and supports secure MFA and SSO
The best features in Google Cloud Identity are their cloud, their VMs, and their cloud VMs, which are too good compared to OCI. Using Google Cloud Identity is beneficial in terms of finance as we are always doing automation and AI, and it is definitely the best. I use multi-factor authentication with Google Cloud Identity. Regarding how Google Cloud Identity helps to improve security, I can say that security is something everyone is using. I do not feel any different. After this, everything will be JWT token and all things we are using. I do not feel any difference in there. I have used the SSO feature, single sign-on, with Google Cloud Identity. In a few words, how Google Cloud Identity affected user management within my organization is that it is not done for my organization but for one of my clients only. I already have the ADs there, but still, it is the best. I think the reporting tools of Google Cloud Identity are good. I cannot comment on these kinds of things for this particular product.

On the identity product side, it is awesome. However, they can improve in the documentation parts. For example, if there is a migration process, I can see the maximum customers are moving from self-hosted to on-premises or from on-premises to the cloud. It would be helpful if they released a generalized document for processes such as migration. A clear overview document would assist us in understanding more about the tool, configurations, and automations to enhance our security. Regarding the initial setup of CyberArk Identity, I faced some challenges. At some points, I could not find proper documentation for deploying, enhancing, or integrating with other components. I could not find the proper documentation in the community portal.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The most valuable feature of Google Cloud Identity is its simplicity in deployment."
"One of the most useful features was the single sign-on. You can use it as an identity provider or service provider. And you can use their organization unit feature to enable or disable some of the features for a specific group of users."
"The solution is primarily used for single control and single sign which helps with the security and authentication of multiple devices."
"Everything is relatively good and overall, the product itself is good."
"Following the steps made it very easy to use."
"I used it as an administrator without implementing it myself. As for valuable aspects or benefits, the significant point is that it's a straightforward, single solution that just works."
"The most beneficial feature for enhancing security is context-aware access."
"The most valuable feature is that you can manage users from one central location."
"The most valuable feature of CyberArk Identity is the adaptive interface."
"We haven't encountered any problems with respect to the stability of this solution; it is very stable."
"Overall, I would rate CyberArk Identity a nine out of ten."
"The solution has good technical support."
"As soon as it is implemented, it fundamentally changes how users access systems, providing immediate security benefits."
"The user self-service program and the Office 365 provisioning service feature are the most valuable. It is a very easy and feature-rich solution that gives priority to the users and security."
"CyberArk Identity provides identity governance and gives me control over who and how access to environments occurs, offering significant confidentiality in what is accessed."
"The most valuable features of CyberArk Identity are its ability to control access to administrative staff."

Cons

"We cannot manage the attributes of SSPR."
"I would like to see more integration in future releases."
"I want the tool to improve its support. It should also incorporate some functionalities. Currently, preparing presentations in Google is a pain point. The tool’s certain features like user provisioning are not intuitive as well. The product’s LDAP support is very poor. Clients do not trust the product due to the spam."
"Mobile device management could be improved. Through Google Cloud Identity, we can manage Android applications and have control over iOS devices, but container functionality is missing."
"For Google Cloud Identity, there will be a recurring cost. There is no ROI."
"Google Cloud Identity can be improved by having better integration with Active Directory, but since Active Directory is also a Microsoft solution, we don't think it will happen; that's the only disadvantage of Google."
"There is room for improvement in the configuration of their security policies. It seems quite basic."
"Technical support is slow."
"There is room for improvement in documentation. The documentation could be more specific about the changes needed to achieve specific goals."
"They can include the Mobile Device Management (MDM) feature."
"They could improve their UI and make everything more user-friendly."
"Room for improvement for CyberArk Identity might be on the support side, as they constantly improve with new features and remove redundant ones, integrating multiple steps into a single one for easier use; however, this is not just CyberArk Identity, as many vendors start with basic troubleshooting services without recognizing that knowledgeable users often reach out after exhausting those options."
"At the moment CyberArk needs to enrich Conjur and it needs to be made more viable so that its adoption can be made much faster."
"While CyberArk Identity is a leader in Identity Security, the integration of multiple components could be improved."
"The reporting functionality is somewhat complicated. While I would rate CyberArk Identity and Okta on the same level, Okta's reporting is crisper and clearer."
"It was pretty complex to implement CyberArk Identity. We had some help from a partner, and that helped a lot. But even for the partner, it was really difficult to streamline the process of implementing."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The fees are paid monthly and there are no additional costs other than the licensing fees."
"The pricing is a bit expensive."
"The solution is not expensive."
"We probably spend about $50,000 a year on licensing."
"I rate the product price a seven on a scale of one to ten, where one is a low price, and ten is a high price."
"The product is billed on a monthly basis depending on the number of users."
"When I worked on Cloud Identity, they offered a free or enterprise version. You can synchronize and create up to 100 user identities in the free version. After that, you have to purchase a business or enterprise license. In that model, you'll be charged based on the number of users."
"On a scale from one to ten, where one is cheap and ten is expensive, I rate the solution's pricing a three out of ten."
"I think it is a fairly priced tool. I rate the tool between six and seven on a scale of one to ten where one is expensive, and ten is cheap."
"The pricing is acceptable. It is worth considering what we are protecting with the amount charged."
"There is an initial license and then there is a subscription needed."
"The pricing of CyberArk Identity is competitive."
"There could be some additional costs apart from the licensing costs of the solution when you want to develop connectors in CyberArk Identity."
"It's not that affordable compared to Delinea or other products. They're less expensive and allow more customization. For the cost, it is expensive."
"I would rate the tool’s pricing a seven out of ten. The product’s pricing is expensive and is on a yearly basis. You will need to pay around 10,000 GBP for 500 users."
"Their pricing is obviously a lot higher than many vendors in the marketplace but their service is also unmatched."
