Call reviews have boosted follow-ups and coaching but still need richer local insights and training
One of the things that I mentioned is the information that Gong has here in Brazil. I think there are other generative AIs that have good information, providing good information about the companies. Gong in this field is a bit not ahead. It has to improve more. One point that I would like to see in Gong in the future would be to have more information about Brazilian companies that could help our life in sales. Gong should be more updated and be more full of information about our specific market. The points that I already mentioned, which are the updates and the information updates that are not really updated, are why it wouldn't be a 10. Another point of not being a 10 is the training that we have from Gong. I've never seen a person from Gong talking with us, giving us training or providing videos or training specific for sales in Gong. It depends on us to navigate in Gong, but we don't have much information and training that I think would be nice for us to have.

Uses data-driven insights to improve workflows and highlights a need for simpler automation tools
Salesforce Sales Cloud can be improved in several areas. First, the UI is an area for enhancement. Even though they've launched Lightning, it's clunky at times with page load speeds. It also needs to be made extremely more user-friendly. For new people using Salesforce Sales Cloud, there is a steep learning curve. Additionally, giving non-admins the ability to make changes on the fly is something that I feel is necessary. Currently with Salesforce Sales Cloud, you need to have a consultant. It's hard to build the flows or workflows. Making it easier for that end-user who's not so technically minded to help themselves is essential. I choose seven out of ten because I think you need a consultant or a consulting company to help you build it out. Certain changes should be made much easier and more user-friendly where an admin can do it. The automation processes need to be much simpler. If you're looking at other tools out there, for example SalesLoft or HubSpot, it's much easier to build those workflows and do automation.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Gong has positively impacted my organization by improving efficiency, helping our renewal rate, and enabling us to analyze and share client touchpoints internally to quickly address cross-departmental issues that might affect retention."
"Gong has positively impacted my organization by allowing anyone to be able to look into processes, learn more about what our customers are saying, learn from each other, and share things throughout the organization."
"The summaries and analysis Gong provides are really good, especially compared to some others that I get, as the analysis from Zoom is often too long and does not really hit all the main points, while Gong knows how to summarize it pretty well."
"My advice to others looking into using Gong is to go for it; it's really easy to use, the recordings are very good, it has transcripts, and I can ask something about the call, and it will generate the answer with AI."
"Using the AI, Gong summarizes calls, gives notes, suggests follow-up emails, and provides useful statistics like talking time and sentiment scores."
"The call recording feature is beneficial because it allows me to remember everything from a call, including slides shared, topics discussed, and next steps."
"Gong has impacted my organization positively in a huge way because it gives me insight into what customers are saying, saves me a ton of time by not having to be on calls all day, and really helps direct and influence our marketing based on customer voice and the feedback and questions that come up for the sales teams."
"Gong has positively impacted my organization hugely, as we run pipeline meetings from Gong and I can ask questions around MEDDIC and MEDDPICC while getting better visibility and more predictable revenue."
"The biggest benefit of the Salesforce Sales Cloud is a centralized point, a centralized source of truth for customer-related information; you centralize all the information in a single database, and that's the biggest benefit."
"Contact records are most valuable."
"The most valuable features of Salesforce Sales Cloud are the ability to track portfolio opportunities and reporting capabilities. The notification process inside the platform is also very valuable, and extracting reports is extremely useful. However, we are currently using only a small part of its functionality."
"The most valuable features are custom objects, custom workflows, triggering, and integration with other SaaS solutions."
"Different leads and fields can be utilized inside of Salesforce, using the Sales Path to follow those specific leads, and what leads convert over into opportunities. The leveraging of fields help to track progress on the user interface."
"Great flexibility"
"User adoption has improved a lot resulting in improvement of data quality and ROI of the software."
"The most valuable features of Salesforce Sales Cloud are increased productivity and business accuracy."

Cons

"I think there are other generative AIs that have good information, providing good information about the companies. Gong in this field is a bit not ahead; it has to improve more."
"I find that Gong's AI features are still not there yet, especially when it comes to call follow-up or mutual action plans."
"I wish the AI summaries were more accurate, and it would be nice if there were a way to include what a customer says about a specific topic in the AI summary."
"These features might actually exist, but I never really use them since when I did, they weren't great."
"Gong could be improved with a little bit better AI on the follow-ups, as I still find myself using Gong AI-generated follow-up emails with my own parameters in ChatGPT."
"Gong can be improved with the follow-up email feature."
"I would improve the interface for searching themes or words in the history of calls and emails."
"Gong does not integrate well within Microsoft Teams calendars; sometimes the extension gets missed out and it does not get added to the meetings easily, so that is the major drawback that I have seen across."
"I think the user experience could be improved. I would like the user interface to be a bit more user-friendly and modern."
"Backend database is not compatible with all SQL standards."
"My age-old complaint with Salesforce Sales Cloud is that it has to be refreshed because it's a cloud-based system. If you make any updates, you have to refresh and save because you're fundamentally looking at what's running in the cloud. It can be slow since you constantly refresh and save the screen. If you were running a local application, like a local CRM system, as you input anything, it would be more seamless."
"The only time I have ever been upset with Salesforce was when I failed my certification exam."
"They should think about introducing some sort of fire system (colours: green - yellow - red) to set alarms of overdue tasks."
"There are also certain restrictions on the reports in terms of the number of records. Ideally, that should be removed."
"Reporting is still not as strong as it should be."
"It is still relatively expensive - would like to see it a little cheaper."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"Price-wise, the product does not fall under the category of cheaply priced products."
"Its license is expensive. It is probably a lot more than smaller solutions. It is around £500 a month, but I don't know how many licenses we have."
"It's expensive, storage being the most costly aspect."
"The overall price of Salesforce Sales Cloud could be better, it is more expensive than other competitors. There is an annual license for Salesforce Sales Cloud."
"Sales Cloud is quite expensive."
"The subscription is on a monthly basis."
"My understanding is that Salesforce is a little bit expensive, but in terms of the efficiencies, automation, and visibility, I think it's definitely value for money."
"The main thing is it is costly. Salesforce it is not cheap, it's costly. Some of our customers say it is a costly solution. So, we have lost some sale opportunities regarding the high price. This is the main thing that we are facing. It is sales per user and the user price is about $150 per month, per user for the Enterprise Edition. The other edition is less than this, but it is costly. A company that has 70 or 80 users would pay more than $8,000 USD yearly because it is cloud based."
