Helps to detect and generate reports on phishing emails and saves from email compromises
We use the solution for marketing and brand protection.  I am impressed with the tool's discovery capabilities which help me find out who is sending the emails on the company's behalf. I also find the ability to detect and generate reports on phishing emails a valuable feature.  The product's…

Centralized protection has transformed email security and incident investigations by reducing false positives and improving behavioral threat detection
The challenges include the challenge of finalizing a product that has all the security features or capabilities that are usually required. For example, if there is an EDR platform that's just monitoring IDS signatures, it won't be as beneficial as one with behavioral monitoring and other critical aspects required according to the best practices of the industry. Additionally, if there is a product that can provide a centralized view Trend Vision One does, it really grabs the customer's interest because customers usually don't have to buy separate EDR, XDR, or SIEM solutions or a console for their SOC analyst or email security team. These challenges consist of managing multiple teams and products. Trend Micro Email Security comes in and solves these problems.Trend Micro Email Security is generally a bit more difficult to implement compared to the rest of the solutions such as network security modules or EDR modules, which are much easier. Trend Micro Email Security has some complexities in implementation, but there aren't any significant shortcomings that require Trend Micro to improve.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Agari offers very good brand protection and they are the core founder of the DMARC standard."
"Agari gives us visibility of our domain security, helps us manage our SPF, DKIM and DMARC records, prevents spoofing of our domains for phishing and ensures that our marketing and other emails are received correctly and not rejected as spam."
"I am impressed with the tool's discovery capabilities which help me find out who is sending the emails on the company's behalf. I also find the ability to detect and generate reports on phishing emails a valuable feature."
"They are very flexible as far as feature requests go."
"It is really important for large companies to have the brand protection that is provided by Agari."
"If spam or some kind of malicious email gets past Mimecast and gets into our email environment, we can go into Agari and we can search for it."
"It comes with a lot of helpful tips for complicated areas."
"The Email Security solution from Trend Micro is quite a strong solution."
"The most valuable features include email filtering to block spam and phishing attempts, the use of DMARC for email authentication, and robust malware scanning."
"The interface is really good."
"We were able to reduce the time by 30% in terms of detection and response around 40%."
"I have seen a huge decrease in phishing emails and spam being received by end users, with about 80% of observed spam and phishing emails being reduced."
"Trend Micro Email Security has positively impacted our organization by improving security, effectively reducing phishing, spam, and malware attacks, and saving time by automating email threat detection and filtering so our team can focus on more important security tasks."
"Trend Micro Email Security [EOL] has too much of an edge when comparing apple to apple; it is far better than other products."
"Trend Micro Email Security [EOL] has positively impacted my organization by helping to stop spam emails and identify malicious emails."

Cons

"The product's user interface is clunky. We have difficulty in finding what we need. I would also like to see automation in the onboarding processes."
"Some customers in the financial sector do not like the cloud solution because they don't want data to be transferred to a US-based cloud."
"The protocol is quite complicated, which may not be something that could be improved, but it would be better if it was simplified."
"The enterprise security feature needs improvement."
"The management interface of Trend Micro Email Security [EOL] looks a bit more legacy, and it can have a little bit more improvements in terms of modernizing the UI."
"It is a bit expensive than the market price."
"I have considered how Trend Micro Email Security [EOL] can be improved. The integration within Trend Micro environment is great, but if I want to integrate Trend Micro Email Security [EOL] with a third-party endpoint security solution, it is more challenging; if I am using Trend Micro production endpoint protection along with other Trend Micro-related solutions such as Trend Micro XDR, it works much better, but integrating with a third-party endpoint protection tool such as Microsoft Defender is different."
"There is a limitation when customers are using their email from a third-party solution that isn't from Trend Micro."
"The only negative thing about Trend Micro Email Security is its price. It could be less expensive."
"For support from Trend Micro, I would give maybe 20%."
"The tool's dashboard is old."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The tool is not expensive and I would rate its pricing a four out of ten."
"The pricing depends on the number of users; per how many mailboxes you have, but they're pretty negotiable with that, too."
"The price of the licensing is based on the volume of email."
"Trend Micro Email Security's pricing is reasonable."
"The tool must improve its pricing."
"The price of Trend Micro Email Security is annual. There are no additional fees."
"The price is more accessible compared to some other solutions, like FortiMail. It offers excellent value for the price."
"The solution is inexpensive so we recommend it to small to mid-sized businesses."
"It's a VPN solution. Trend Micro is reasonably priced."
"The cost is about $6,000 for 300 users for one year."
"It is expensive. The cost is per box, and it depends on how big your environment is. Prices range from 11 to 12 dollars for licenses and can fluctuate up and down, but for environments with 4,000 to 5,000 users, it can be between 6 to 8 dollars."
