Has significantly improved document-driven workflows and reduced processing time across finance and HR functions
Automation Anywhere has evolved significantly and upgraded itself to provide agentic AI and AI-based automation solutions for document automation. The product has matured considerably over time. We can create workflows that can call an API. We can include prompts in particular workflows for ChatGPT-related functions, connecting to an LLM and RAG to perform tasks. For document automation, modern features are available to train documents, ensuring high accuracy and repeatability over time. The system is very easy to use. I recently completed a course in document automation, typically designed for people involved in coding and technical aspects. Though I understand coding comprehensively, I don't do actual coding. The course was very accessible. Currently, extensive coding isn't necessary due to the hybrid model incorporating GenAI aspects, low-code, no-code capabilities, APIs, and numerous pre-built objects in Automation Anywhere. The features include GenAI-driven prompting methods and workflow creation capabilities. In these workflows, we can create decision boxes and call APIs without coding. We simply pull objects, drop them, connect them, and add minimal coding when needed. The most crucial aspect isn't coding but rather sizing the automation and fleshing out the details. Automation Co-pilot takes notes and performs automated analysis. It can extract details from videos, summarize conversations, and provide detailed information. During calls, it identifies instructions and performs tasks such as preparing reports and reconciliation. Automation Anywhere can also connect with Microsoft Co-pilot. Through Co-pilot, real-time operations can be executed, allowing direct interaction between vendors and automation through this component.

Enterprise Cloud Cost Over And Visibility Parts at a manufacturing company with 10,001+ employees
Clear license visibility has reduced waste and guides current software spending decisions
We often communicate with the technical support of Flexera One, and they are providing a good service to us. We are raising cases for the SKU-based library of Flexera One. Suppose there are SKUs which are not recognized. We raise a case with them asking if they could please recognize this SKU or add this SKU to the SKU library. We are in touch with them. Suppose we are not understanding any feature of Flexera One, then we are asking them for a one-to-one call. They interact with us and easily tell us things which we can understand. I will give it a 10 for the technical support of Flexera One on a scale from one to ten.

A stable and clever solution, but it is very complex and it needs a lot of improvements
There are a lot of things that need improvement. Software recognition, software licensing, software compliance, data inputs, reporting, and support are some of the areas. It needs a discovery tool of its own. You have to get that from other Micro Focus products, which means you have to pay more to get those products.

Pros

"This product has helped us a lot by improving and growing the business in different domains."
"There are more valuable features with the updated solution; now they have both the list view and the flow view, they have increased some features in terms of data types, they now have good usage of the data table and have added variable types, and it's convenient."
"The speed-up and greater control over the quality of the processes have also led to savings in money and are increasing the happiness of the company's customers."
"Before the automation, it used to take about two to three hours, now, with automation, it takes about 40 minutes."
"The UI is very user-friendly, even for someone who doesn't have much coding knowledge."
"Automation Anywhere is very easy to handle because it is a low-code platform, so anyone can learn very quickly."
"Automation Anywhere saves time and money."
"The features like IQ Bot and Metabot have helped our organization to gain business trust and provide a greater number of unique solutions to our clients for complex projects."
"Flexera One helps us maintain a clear picture of our finances, showing what software we have purchased this year and what we should purchase next year."
"The best thing about FlexNet Manager for my clients is its strong grip on managing licenses and ensuring they stick to their contracts."
"The best feature of Flexera One is the latest feature about AI, which really impresses me because I can log into the Flexera One portal, click on the AI, and ask it questions."
"The feature that I find most valuable in Flexera One is the discovery, which is crucial from an ITAM point of view to capture the entire environment and all the software installed in my customer's environment."
"So the solution has a really great licensing module, and they're constantly keeping up with the newest trends."
"It is a stable solution."
"I like the way it does its compliance. I like its discovery, and I like the fact that it keeps separate hardware and assets and provides easy accessibility to raw data."
"Audit readiness and 100% users and usage calculation helped the organization to save money."
"It is stable and scalable."
"We are constantly using this product and we are constantly improving this product."
"This product can be customized according to the needs of any company."

"The most important features are the flexibility of the product and the way that we can use it to ensure software compliance within our organization."

Cons

"The process discovery side needs improvement."
"Improving on the ease of use and user experience of Automation Anywhere (AA) could help."
"I would like the support to be faster. Their response time is one to two days. Their customer care could be faster."
"In Automation Anywhere, the logging process is manual."
"We would like to see more options for merging and un-merging PDFs. More flexibility there would be good. We've figured out ways around this and, using their software, we've been able to do everything we wanted to do. It just took a bit more time to do it. We were on version 10.5 and in their Bot Store they actually had a bot that did exactly what we wanted to do, but it was for Version 11.0."
"There have been problems with scalability. It comes down to how we handle the code."
"So far, the stability is not good. We are trying to improve this because we are facing a lot of instability issues."
"A standardized improvement area for any RPA tool is making it more user-friendly. This can be done by allowing users to give instructions in their language. For example, one should be able to say in his or her language to automate the login page of the XYZ application. It should be able to create a flow based on the information or screenshots that the user provides."
"One area that could use improvement is the deployment of Flexera agents."
"The first and foremost aspect that could be improved about Flexera One is its capability for customization. It is not easily customizable, and if Flexera One does not have an integration available for different tools and publishers, then creating a custom integration or custom compliance for that particular publisher becomes very difficult."
"They could improve their reporting. I'd particularly like them to allow you to schedule it."
"The mainframe need improvement."
"There is room for improvement in the purchasing module. There are things I would change in that. Also, the automation components, like having the contracts, scheduling, and notifications embedded into the application, which they've been promising to do since 2014."
"Flexera One is an amazing tool, but I feel the UI could have some more upgrades and look a bit more modern with all these applications coming up."
"The biggest challenge I am facing is that Flexera One has a lot of data. It takes time to load and process."
"The customer support is fairly decent; it could be better in terms of the quality of answers provided."
"There are a lot of things that need improvement. Software recognition, software licensing, software compliance, data inputs, reporting, and support are some of the areas."
"The technology used is outdated, the interface is outdated, the database is outdated, everything is outdated."
"The usability of this product is still out-of-date and could be improved. The interface could be improved."
"Technical support is very frustrating because we have probably 12 or 15 years’ experience with the products."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"There are some additional costs beyond the standard licensing fees. There are a couple of add-ons we've looked at: The IQ Bot for OCR and machine-learning were add-ons, as well as the Bot Insights - the analytics."
"The major reason that we selected Automation Anywhere was the licensing model."
"It is cost-efficient in terms of licensing. I found their support good when I was working for the airline client. However, I hear from my managers here that the support price for Tier 3 or premium is a little higher. That is why we are not going for Automation Anywhere. Its price was okay for our client, but for us, it seems expensive."
"I am not involved in the pricing, but based on what I hear from our central RPA team, it is not very expensive; it is also not cheap. Its price is in the midrange."
"Because it reduced the time duration of our processes, our costs went down."
"We are currently negotiating a contract. Depending upon that, we will definitely look at increasing usage."
"The pricing is reasonable and one can achieve ROI faster when compared to other tools."
"Annually, we are paying almost one million reais."
"I can say that from a price perspective, you can go for FlexNet Manager if you have a very small environment."
"It was certainly on a par with the price we were paying for Snow License Manager. It wasn't overly expensive."
"From my experience, Asset Manager is expensive."
