Great solution to collect analytics on customer usage with valuable response latency
We use ExtremeAnalytics for public venues and to collect information about customer usage. We also use this solution to monitor the application performance and troubleshoot network or latency issues. We use it to collect analytics about the visitors for public opinion The application response…

Effective monitoring and efficient alert management streamline operations
Machine learning works based on past collected data, so we can develop a system that functions as an automated bot using this data. With the use of AI technologies such as ChatGPT and other Gen AI solutions, if we combine these with machine learning tools, it will lead to increased efficiency and reduced processing time in application systems. I work on the backend to address any issues with Moogsoft, such as URL access problems or credential bugs, ensuring everything operates smoothly. The advantage of Moogsoft is that it consolidates various alerts into one monitoring tool, which reduces time and allows for real-time and anomaly detection, while its disadvantage includes limited built-in observability and complex setup requirements. On a scale of 1-10, I rate Moogsoft a 9.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The most valuable feature of ExtremeAnalytics is wireless intrusion prevention."
"The solution's scalability is a ten out of ten."
"The application response latency is valuable and suitable for troubleshooting."
"The tool's event correlation and AI are its strongest parts."
"Moogsoft AIOps integrates seamlessly with 50-plus IT monitoring, automation, service management, notification, and collaboration tools. It also provides a great and easy-to-use interface for observing."
"Moogsoft's most valuable features are event management, correlation, and observability."
"I like the prediction features."
"The AI component allows you to check previous cases and diagnose problems easily."
"The AIOps capabilities in Moogsoft, which it brings in with multiple data source support, are the most valuable features."
"The product currently seems to be a few steps ahead of the competition."
"There are AI features in Moogsoft. Moogsoft has one wonderful feature that allows you to convert multiple alarms into situations. Generally, all other MoM tools get the alarms, and then convert it into an incident directly. There is one extra layer they have added before converting any alarm into an incident. Suppose there are multiple alarms that are somehow all related to a single source of issue. It converts all the alarms into a single situation, which then gets converted into an incident."

Cons

"The solution's stability needs to be improved."
"There are issues with cloud distribution of the servers, and it could be faster."
"ExtremeAnalytics could improve application control. The URL filtering is not working properly. We have had issues with the reports and heat maps not working as expected. We have been receiving download errors when attempting to retrieve the heat maps and reports."
"Moogsoft is dependent on external products to do orchestration and SOP-based functionality."
"I would like to see how Moogsoft integrates with the multi-cloud and brings out a single pane of glass, to see everything on one screen."
"The unsupervised learning algorithms in Moogsoft are valuable, but the learning processes, run book creation, and neural feedback areas could be improved."
"The product roadmap doesn't align with our roadmap."
"They are very much dependent on open-source technologies like RabbitMQ message bus. They are using open-source databases, Apache Tomcat, NGINX. If we face any issues with Apache Tomcat or the RabbitMQ message bus, then we do not get support from them. We have to troubleshoot it ourselves."
"The tool needs to improve its support. It appears that the support responsiveness from Moogsoft is not aligned with the severity of the incident. Instead of proactively addressing issues, customers have to chase Moogsoft for resolution. In Moogsoft, unlike other tools like Splunk, the process follows a step-by-step sequence. You need to start each process in a specific order, typically following a sequence."
"The solution's initial setup is complex, and it should be made easier."
"I would like to see Moogsoft improve on coming up with some agentic solutions for whatever they have been able to automate."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The price of the solution is approximately $100 to $120 and is paid annually."
"The pricing is an eight out of ten."
"When compared to other solutions, it is quite good."
"Moogsoft's licensing is consumption-based, so the price may increase depending on the environment."
"The solution is very good from a business impact point of view, but it's quite expensive because it's an enterprise-grade solution."
"As for pricing, Moogsoft recently updated their pricing model, and we're still evaluating it. It's an area where clarity is needed with the new alert-based pricing model."
"It's a very cost-effective and competitive product."
