Offers advanced filtering features and benefits from improved licensing and performance
There is a licensing issue with Intercept X Endpoint. Their licenses are user-based. Most of our customers use per device licenses, and they need per device licenses because they use one PC for multiple accounts. This creates a problem. There was one customer who complained about the slowness of PCs using Intercept X Endpoint. They use minor performance PCs, which causes their PCs to become slow.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The solution is easy to use."
"The initial setup of ESET EDR_XDR is very simple, easy to deploy, and manage."
"One of the best features of Sophos Intercept is that it repairs without slowing down the system."
"The pricing is fair. It's not too costly for our small organization."
"The deployment is quick. It just depends on the environment and what you may be replacing."
"The solution protects us."
"Scalability is good."
"It is a practically maintenance free intelligent system that independently protects environments from malicious attacks."
"The EDR (Enhanced Data Detection and Response) and the DLP (Data Loss Prevention) components are valuable assets."
"It is very easy to set up and easy to use. It is also not resource-intensive."

Cons

"The solution could improve how it scours each website."
"ESET EDR_XDR needs to conduct more research and development and innovations in early detection of attacks."
"It could be a bit easier to implement."
"We've had difficulty with uninstalling the solution. When we try to uninstall an old version of the basic Sophos Antivirus, it doesn't seem to uninstall completely."
"They need to focus on their SLA or technical support. They also need to focus on their UI. They should also improve their content filtering tool and update it so that correct categories are there. Sometimes, when I want to block an online gaming website, it is not shown under the correct category. It is shown under another category. They need to review their content filtering tool on a bi-weekly or monthly basis and update the sites and categories. This will be really helpful for them."
"They don't have the full stack of offerings as compared to the other competitive products that we see."
"There is a licensing issue with Intercept X Endpoint; these licenses are user-based, and most of our customers require per-device licenses because they use one PC for multiple accounts, which presents a problem."
"The endpoint detection and response (EDR) technology has room for improvement because the information that it gives us to resolve our problems is poor nowadays."
"The initial setup can be a bit challenging."
"The solution's pricing could be better."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"I rate the solution’s pricing a six or seven out of ten.."
"Intercept X for endpoints is around $35 per user per year. The server version is $95 per server per year."
"It was fairly and reasonably priced."
"Licensing fees are paid monthly."
"The price of Sophos Intercept X is expensive. The license is paid on an annual basis. There are extra features that can be added depending on the endpoints. The solution is priced twice as much as the Comodo solution."
"We have bought a three-year license."
"It's not bad, but compared to competitors, it's a little bit on the high side. The price could be more competitive."
"One can pay for the license annually, or at two and five year intervals."
"The price of this solution is reasonable."
