Customization enables tailored monitoring and alerting across departments
The possibility to customize it has been quite useful. Whatever the other departments want to dream up, we implement. Whatever they want to monitor, the granularity of it, the changes in the threshold, and the anomalies that they want reported all require some development. So far, every single request has been fulfilled.

Has efficient security measures and seamless integration capabilities
The product's user experience needs improvement. They could refine the interface and make the platform more intuitive and user-friendly for enterprises and developers. Additionally, improving integration capabilities with other blockchain networks and legacy systems would broaden its applicability and facilitate smoother integration into existing infrastructures. The platform should focus on being more developer-friendly and ensuring a user interface that is not overly tricky. Continuous optimization of performance and scalability to handle increasing workloads is crucial for seamless operation. Lastly, ongoing research and development efforts should remain vigilant against emerging threats to incorporate the latest advancements and solidify the platform's security.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Elastic APM has plenty of features, such as the Elastic server for Kibana and many additional plugins. It's a comprehensive tool when used as a logging platform."
"I recommend Elastic Observability for its completeness of vision and wide ecosystem."
"The product has connectors to many services."
"It's easy to deploy, and it's very flexible."
"The solution has been stable in our usage."
"The Elastic User Interface framework lets us do custom development when needed. You need to have some Javascript knowledge. We need that knowledge to develop new custom tests."
"We can view and connect different sources to the dashboard using it."
"All the features that we use, such as monitoring, dashboarding, reporting, the possibility of alerting, and the way we index the data, are important."
"The most valuable features of the solution are the reporting and the traffic view that the product provides its users."
"The most valuable feature of Quantum Smart-1 Cloud lies in its scalability, providing a secure infrastructure for enterprise applications."

Cons

"Elastic Observability is reactive rather than proactive. It should act as an ITSM tool and be able to create tickets and alerts on Jira."
"The auto-discovery isn't nearly as good. That's a big portion of it. When you drop the agent onto the JVM and you're trying to figure things out, having to go through and manually do all that is cumbersome."
"Elastic Observability could improve asset discovery as the current requirement to push the agent is not ideal."
"Improving code insight related to infrastructure and network, particularly focusing on aspects such as firewalls, switches, routers, and testing would be beneficial."
"Elastic APM's visualization is not that great compared to other tools. It's number of metrics is very low."
"There is room for improvement regarding its APM capabilities."
"The cost must be made more transparent."
"In the future, Elastic APM needs a portfolio iTool. They can provide an easy way to develop the custom UI for Kibana."
"VPN configuration can get clunky sometimes."
"They could refine the interface and make the platform more intuitive and user-friendly for enterprises and developers."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"One needs to pay for the licenses, and it is an annual subscription model right now."
"The product is not that cheap."
"Elastic Observability's pricing could be better for small-scale users."
"Elastic Observability is cheaper than other similar solutions, such as Dynatrace. Its license calculation is based on various factors like data volume and physical infrastructure, particularly related to RAM capacity."
"So far, there are just the standard licensing fees. Several of the components are embedded in the license or are even open source. They're even free depending on what you use, which makes it even more appealing to someone that is discussing pricing of the solution."
"We will buy a premium license after POC."
"We have been using the open-source version."
"The price of Elastic Observability is expensive."
"Compared to the on-premises solution, I rate Quantum Smart-1 Cloud's pricing a five on a scale of one to ten, where one is cheap and ten is expensive."
"Quantum Smart-1 Cloud stands out with its competitive pricing model, finely tuned to accommodate diverse user capabilities."
