AI capabilities helps you find the right folks for your succession plan but issues with scalability
We're just launching it. We have two clients using it. Our company, Heidrick & Struggles, partners with Eightfold.ai, and we use a lot of our own IP, such as digital spend, capabilities, competencies, and culture assessment information. A lot of what we do is gather that assessment data and make recommendations based on that, in addition to Eightfold.ai's insights. It's a combination of the two that really helps us accurately identify the best fit for executive leadership roles. It's purely data-driven, so we try to take human bias out of the process. That's really the sweet spot for this solution – the partnership between Heidrick's components and Eightfold's components. The AI recommends potential leaders, so you don't have to do a ton of thinking. You still want some human interaction, but from a pure recommendation standpoint, it reduces the bias you'd get if you did not use data points for these decisions.

Beautifully designed and easy to implement but has some bugs
While it is a beautiful solution in terms of design, we are facing some issues on the payroll side. When payroll processing, we are getting rising service requests and we are getting delayed responses from support. It can take 20 to 30 days to get a solution. I'm working on SaaS environment and we are not able to build some business condition validations like validations. For example, if you use a business trip request feature, we are having some validations, yet we have to check the budget availability. We are capturing that budget availability yet we are not able to do the consolidation and documentation. It's not seamless.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The CRM is a useful feature to create user communities that we can actively engage in on an ongoing basis."
"The most valuable feature has been the ease at which people can set up their profiles by simply uploading their CV or Linkedin profile. We previously had very low levels of adoption."
"I really like the ability to run campaigns with pipelines and events. Matching prospects based on skills and the calibration process has been most valuable."
"This solution has made our team more collaborative. The recruiting team is easily able to see what the other team members are working on, what candidates are in process and how they can share candidates amongst themselves. They are now able to prevent work duplication due to increased visibility. Eightfold is candidate centric."
"The most valuable aspect of this solution is the insight we receive on current employees."
"This solution has allowed our team to focus on higher value activities and to make sure that they are optimizing time to identify talent and match it to opportunities. They can then focus on the layers where humans are necessary."
"The ability to get matched to candidates is certainly valuable. In real time, you are able to adjust your description of the work and the project you need done in order to match you with the best candidates."
"It really expedites the whole process and helps the end-customer hone in on what they need. With the evolution to remote work that we are currently going through, there's much more of a need to tailor recruiting."
"Oracle HCM Cloud is easier to use than Oracle ETS. Everything is included on one page, and we no longer need to do workarounds. For example, creating elements, eligibility profiles, and formulas is much easier."
"It is a configurable, scalable solution."
"The tool's implementation has resulted in significant time savings, ranging from 30 to 50 percent across various processes. Oracle HCM, particularly its payroll functionality, has proven to be highly valuable for our organization. Additionally, the ability to implement various customizations has proven valuable. The robust nature of Oracle HCM Cloud ensures high accuracy."
"The application design is beautiful."
"I like that it is mobile responsive and you can work directly with the vendor on specific requirements that you might have."
"What I like most about Oracle HCM Cloud is that I didn't see any area that needs to be dramatically improved. I also appreciate that it has good integration with other Oracle products. The process of integrating Oracle HCM Cloud is rather explanatory. I also found the Oracle library to be helpful. As Oracle HCM Cloud is quite a robust solution, I like it versus other solutions. I like the people at Oracle."
"What I like best about Oracle HCM Cloud is that its configuration is okay. I also like it in terms of updates. Product updates that take place from time to time improve Oracle HCM Cloud. What I also found valuable in the product is that since it's on cloud, you can work with it from any place."
"Our overall evaluation of Oracle HCM Cloud as a general ledger tool is mixed. It is a comprehensive and versatile piece of software."

Cons

"An opportunity for Eightfold to improve on is to open up their environment to allow us to own our application maintenance and development environment. We would like to be able to make some of the configuration changes and improvements ourselves."
"We're doing user testing now, and on the calibration page, there's no publish button. I have to go to overview to publish it. It could be user error, but it would be nice to be able to easily figure out where buttons are and what they do."
"There are some small product features that could be enhanced. Ease of use and the recruiter user experience could be improved. Moving through certain stages involves many clicks which can be time consuming."
"Eightfold could be improved if they had more round table conversations about features and their roadmap. They should actively seek out feedback from their customers."
"The tagging feature is not as in depth and easy to use as I would've hoped for. Although you can create tags for candidates, there's no way to report all those tags and see what tags are already created."
"From my perspective, I think the usability could use some attention. Eightfold.ai offers modules for talent acquisition, talent management, and other areas like projects. They try to use a common UI for all of them, but it really needs to be more persona-based. That's the thing that I struggle with the most."
"It would be interesting to enable Eightfold to have a user experience that is seamless in terms of single sign on to and from core systems of record. That is, the ability for a user or hiring manager/recruiter to go in and out of Eightfold back into their core system, whether that be Oracle, Workday, SuccessFactors, Cornerstone, etc. It would great to be able to go back and forth with a single sign on capability so that you don't have to log in and out of applications, where it's a bidirectional single sign on."
"There is room for improvement with regards to sourcing and attribution and to be more efficient with connecting leads."
"The GUI interface should be more user-friendly."
"The interface could be more user friendly."
"The user interface, as well as the interfaces between modules, should definitely be enhanced."
"It could be more user-friendly."
"The performance and reaction time can be improved."
"In some geographies, you might not find specific localizations. For example, here in Turkey, we can use all Oracle Cloud modules except for payroll. The Oracle payroll module isn't localized for the Turkish system. So, we need to integrate a separate, localized payroll solution with Oracle HCM."
"I would like to see more direct access for both human resources and employees without so many screens to navigate."
"Visually, Oracle HCM Cloud needs improvement. For example, the employee portal looks rather old, so it would be awesome if Oracle refreshed its design or if the portal looked more modern. Oracle HCM Cloud works, but visually, it needs improvement."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"I would rate the pricing a seven out of ten, with one being cheap and ten being expensive."
"The pricing is fair compared to the market."
"This is a fairly expensive solution compared to others on the market. However, the solution offers functionality of a number of other different solutions combined. From that perspective, it is competitively priced."
"The pricing is fairly competitive. The licensing is fairly flexible to have all employees take advantage of it in any given capacity."
"Though I cannot comment on the solution's cost, a fixed cost is involved based on my understanding. The cost multiplies based on the number of users."
"Pricing is largely determined by what is agreed upon."
"Licensing fees are on a yearly basis."
"It has a licensing cost. It has a cloud-based subscription, which is quite cheap."
"I cannot comment on the cost, as this is handled by a different team."
"There is a license required for the use of this solution and we are on an annual license."
"Oracle HCM Cloud is pricey, but price-wise, it's now more competitive than in the past year. Here in Central Europe, people also look at the pricing, but Central Europe falls under the UAE and Abu Dhabi in terms of headquarters, management, and strategy, but those states don't care too much about the pricing. Pricing is a significant factor in choosing a solution. In the past, Oracle HCM Cloud was compared to the SAP solution, the largest competitor and up to thirty percent higher in price. Now, Oracle HCM Cloud has a price increase of five to ten percent, which could be pricier than SAP now, but it's a more competitive product nowadays and comparable to SAP."
"On an annual basis, we pay about $25,000 for our company. This includes the VAT, support, upgrades and everything else."
