Offers all native features, such as recovery and has a simple interface
Druva is offered as a service so that we can access it from any enterprise-based browser or URL. We also have a single sign-on, which allows me to log in securely. Hence, I can easily access the system, configure it, perform day-to-day monitoring tasks, and check for any issues or configurations needed. Overall, it's a simple and easy-to-use tool with a high-speed and straightforward interface for management. Druva inSync offers all the native features, such as recovery on the same server or an alternate location. It allows for installing an agent on any server trusted by the network. Its recovery feature is robust and reliable. It's a pretty solid solution. Nowadays, nearly every major player, such as Veeam and Rubrik, offers a similar architecture—cloud-based and service-oriented. They all offer similar features.

Reliable, fulfils compliance requirements, and enables to manage data backups easily
I use the solution for backup and recovery Our systems have become more stable and scalable after using NetApp AltaVault. The dashboard is useful for managing data backups. The deduplication technology helps me take offline backups efficiently. The workload on the end team has been reduced. It…

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The main benefit of this solution is that it automatically scans the files for ransomware after the backup is complete."
"If you are looking for a backup solution, go with Druva because it's quite simple."
"Users do not need to contact IT administrators to recover lost or deleted files. They can do it on their own, eliminating waiting time."
"It is simple to implement and use. It's very flexible."
"The tool has good features. The backup is also accurate."
"You don't need a certified administrator to manage this product."
"Our customers do not need to purchase third party storage or a separate server for data backup."
"It's incredibly fast."
"Being able to move data seamlessly from one-premise to the cloud (Azure). It works great. The backup solution is perfect for us."
"You can store backups for a while."
"The dashboard is useful for managing data backups."
"The deduplication engine. Right now, we're at about 10.5 to 11 times deduplication of our backup data."
"The flexibility. Being able to virtualize it, port it wherever I like, test my backups, test my DR capabilities whenever I like without impacting anybody."
"The solution is very easy to use and it offers great support."
"It's pretty simple. Once you set it, it goes; and then the idea of being able to get it to the cloud very quickly. It's kind of a set-it-forget-it."
"It's so easy to work with."

Cons

"This solution would benefit from the inclusion of an on-premise backup feature, as currently, they are offering everything in the cloud."
"The backup time is very poor. The backup runs continuously. It goes on from morning till night. The system performance also becomes very poor when Druva inSync is running."
"The product needs to improve its support."
"The one area that needs to improve is the pricing."
"I would like to see security improved in the next release."
"The user quota is an area that needs to be improved."
"If I could have an accelerator or something to back up the solution on the cloud, that would be helpful. Also, it would be helpful if the accelerator could give me a buffer of a couple of days for any kind of immediate recovery on an offsite."
"The solution takes a lot of time during restoration."
"More capacity with the basic model of the AltaVault would probably help out."
"It's a good product, but it's becoming outdated and moving to their other primary architecture."
"I would like to see more web support."
"I really want to partner it with the SnapCenter. We haven't implemented that yet. We're upgrading all of our stuff to the ONTAP 9, which you had to have."
"More than a 500 volume limit. At the moment, it only supports up to 500 volumes for SnapMirror and that's a problem. We've got 750, so a larger limit for volume replicas for SnapMirror."
"The solution needs faster indexing."
"There are some bits it could do better. With tighter integration maybe with Veeam, or something like that, it'd be really good."
"It would be nice if the solution was more complete. Many customers are looking for a single solution or silo that they can manage everything from. It would be nice, instead of having different products, if everything a client needed was in one solution."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"It's approximately $4000.00 per user for one year."
"Once you decide to go with this product the cost can be worked out with the vendor."
"The price is quite good, It's approximately $4000.00 per user for one year."
"The pricing is thirty-five dollars per year or three dollars per month per user."
"Out of all the solutions we evaluated, Druva inSync was the most affordable."
"It is an expensive product for the middle class or SMB customers in India. A lot of top-level big companies also cannot afford this solution. During the license period, one can download the entire data from the cloud without paying any additional cost. This way the data can be easily recreated from the stored data when a machine is lost or the data is compromised."
"The pricing of Druva inSync is very high as compared to other cloud backup solutions."
"The product is fairly priced, I would rate its pricing five out of ten."
"The pricing is not too bad, but could be a little better."
"The price is a bit high."
"In one use case, and we have several, to run for a particular customer, the price is about $375,000 a year."
"It is a rather expensive program."
"You could compare it to a Dell EMC or ECS, and I think it's probably a little less costly than that. Within the marketplace, it's a medium cost."
"It's quite cost-effective."
"There is a need to make yearly payments towards the licensing costs attached to the solution, which comes to around 3,000 USD."
