Facilitates integration of test scenarios while needing modernization of components
CucumberStudio is primarily used for designing test scenarios and automating testing. We have implemented it in conjunction with our own routines for integration into our infrastructure CucumberStudio aligns with our strategy for data-driven testing. It supports our product owners in designing…

Structured workflows have improved SLA compliance and now support prioritized incident handling
I think the licensing and pricing of ServiceNow is quite expensive compared to other tools. For large organizations, it is acceptable, but specifically for small and medium organizations to track incidents or change requests, ServiceNow is quite expensive. Sometimes performance can be slow when workflows and integrations are configured for complex tasks. For advanced customizations or advanced features which we rarely use, the documentation is not up to standard. The documentation needs to be improved for advanced customization features. However, the platform is stable overall and the features are quite good. The user experience and performance concerns I mentioned are areas I want to be improved. When many workflows and interactions are configured, performance is slow. For the features it is providing, it is quite expensive. If these performance features are improved, we can easily pay that price and get the return on investment.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The solution is stable."
"The URL is very useful, and it has a very good UI for deploying information of the scenarios created."
"Hiptest allowed us to clean up our test campaigns and standardize the way we write test cases and structure our BDD approach."
"The most valuable feature is the re-usability of action words."
"Scenarios, since is a really easy way to create and control your test cases."
"The data table that helps in converting a single script to multiple test cases is very helpful."
"Using HipTest makes the testing process easy and its support for Behavior Driven Development helps align all the team members, whether technical or non-technical."
"The most valuable feature of CucumberStudio is its use of action words, which allows me to avoid writing test cases from scratch for the most common scenarios."
"In 12 years, I've rarely seen a failure of their cloud hosting, if ever."
"I like ServiceNow's Workspace feature. With Jira, we had to edit a ticket by going into it. We couldn't perform edits from within the project plan. ServiceNow allows you to edit everything from one screen. It's like an Excel spreadsheet, but Jira requires you to drill down into the ticket. ServiceNow is more convenient if you are working on multiple projects and workflows."
"The most recent addition of SAM Premium is a game changer for many organizations."
"ServiceNow gives us more capabilities as far as giving us one platform to be able to have a lot of our systems on and it has a lot of functionality there just out of the box."
"ServiceNow has a much bigger offering in the sense that you've got new changes, you've got your problem ticket findings, you've got tracking for CIs and the CMDB database, and sitting on the backend trying to provide all that data for those tickets throughout the company, making it a lot easier as a one-stop shop for being able to actually come in and help your users while also helping your full infrastructure and backend."
"ServiceNow provides quite good insights about what is happening in the organization."
"Compared to HPE Service Manager, ServiceNow offers a lot more customizations and a lot more plug-ins that you can throw in there."
"It's a pretty complete platform that you can basically create whatever you want."

Cons

"Support with In-App chat is great. However, it would be awesome to have real time support also for PT timezone."
"CucumberStudio's API integration could be improved both in terms of reliability and design."
"The reporting and metrics can be improved. E.g.: If we wanted to have metrics across all projects."
"It needs some improvement when exporting scenarios into automation code, to make it easier to manage the repeatable action words and tests."
"Copy-pasting something directly from JIRA requires too much modification and formatting."
"A key area for improvement is to revamp outdated components such as HipTest publisher."
"Yes, it is not stable when you create a data table that includes more than 30 elements, so it can lose your data."
"The reporting aspect can be improved."
"Data access is a bit difficult, where you sometimes wish you had a relational database for some queries. The flexibility of data access in general is a bit on the low end. Of course, there is flexibility in some ways, but when I need a certain combination of data for some report, it can become a challenge."
"The customization that we are doing for the needs of our organization are difficult to do and could be improved."
"CA didn't really know what was going on and a lot of the stuff they promised was really not working properly."
"Discovery is not immediate, and there is a lag."
"The solution should offer better security when it comes to storing data."
"From what I heard we've had contractors who've come in who've worked on other people's incidences, and they say our incidence is the buggiest of all the other incidences they've dealt with."
"There is a need for bug or error tracking in ServiceNow."
"To make ServiceNow better, they should reduce their pricing, especially because there's a lot of competition. Many customers have moved to ManageEngine because they cannot afford the license cost."

"It has a higher cost compared to local/regional solutions."
"Getting the solution up and running is expensive."
"The price of the solution is comparable to industry standards. For the features that we received, it is reasonable."
