Facilitates integration of test scenarios while needing modernization of components
CucumberStudio is primarily used for designing test scenarios and automating testing. We have implemented it in conjunction with our own routines for integration into our infrastructure CucumberStudio aligns with our strategy for data-driven testing. It supports our product owners in designing…

Structured workflows have improved SLA compliance and now support prioritized incident handling
I think the licensing and pricing of ServiceNow is quite expensive compared to other tools. For large organizations, it is acceptable, but specifically for small and medium organizations to track incidents or change requests, ServiceNow is quite expensive. Sometimes performance can be slow when workflows and integrations are configured for complex tasks. For advanced customizations or advanced features which we rarely use, the documentation is not up to standard. The documentation needs to be improved for advanced customization features. However, the platform is stable overall and the features are quite good. The user experience and performance concerns I mentioned are areas I want to be improved. When many workflows and interactions are configured, performance is slow. For the features it is providing, it is quite expensive. If these performance features are improved, we can easily pay that price and get the return on investment.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The solution is stable."
"Hiptest is a great test management tool for agile teams."
"Integration with automation frameworks, keywords, and tags allows for saving time writing test cases and implementing automation."
"The power of Hiptest is its test cases and campaign management."
"The data table that helps in converting a single script to multiple test cases is very helpful."
"The most valuable feature is the re-usability of action words."
"CucumberStudio has a very user-friendly interface."
"The best thing is that a person without knowledge about the program can easily understand what happened in our testing process."
"It's enabled us to decommission a number of different systems that we were using such as incident change, problem management, asset management, financial etc. and it's enabled us to pull them all together so now we can develop an entire portal inside of ServiceNow."
"ServiceNow was the first true enterprise to service management platform."
"For me, the most valuable feature is the flexibility it allows in customization."
"Last year, there were three steps for installing or uninstalling software when a user asked us to do so, but by using ServiceNow, when a user opens a ticket or incident, we can automatically run the workflows through the system, and the assistant can automatically go to the user's computer and install or uninstall the software."
"The workflow makes things extremely efficient and it improves effectiveness."
"Very good incident management, chain management and problem management features."
"From my standpoint, it's the process flexibility."
"It's easy to integrate. For instance, yesterday we closed the integration with SAP for the IP business management module to manage the forecast of projects. We created an interface between ServiceNow and SAP to control projects for accounting and on the forecast of the project. It was really easy. We don't have any problems with ServiceNow at the moment. As a company, they are improving constantly."

Cons

"A key area for improvement is to revamp outdated components such as HipTest publisher."
"The reporting aspect can be improved."
"Another kind of deployment might be useful, perhaps an option to install the tool in a local deployment."
"Copy-pasting something directly from JIRA requires too much modification and formatting."
"I would like to see better customer support."
"Yes, it is not stable when you create a data table that includes more than 30 elements, so it can lose your data."
"Support with In-App chat is great. However, it would be awesome to have real time support also for PT timezone."
"I think it would be better if we could also do the reporting with CucumberStudio."
"In an upcoming release, there should be more administration tools."
"We've been through about four different vendors over the three and a half years. Some of that code has been problematic for us."
"I do not have particular details, but what I heard from my boss is that it's not a cheap solution, especially when you want to roll out to more people or more colleagues in an organization."
"Since I've been working with the product for a long time, it feel like in the old days it was kind of a smaller, cult-like following. You had a more family-like community."
"I have a problem with the way the solution's price is calculated."
"The solution could improve by making the CMDB integrate with a CI better to allow it to be seen across multiple platforms."
"Most people are discussing UIs, but I'm a developer. I would say 80-90% of the people would appreciate that, that's easy for them, but from a developer perspective, it's hard for me, because for me it's clunky"
"We had ServiceNow’s in-house team for “Quick-Start Implementation”, but it was very basic, and the custom things we asked him to do from scratch were not engineered very thoroughly or using best coding practices."
