I primarily use Cornerstone Performance for performance appraisals, year-end reviews, check-ins, and competency assessments. It's about managers and direct reports, employees meeting and discussing their progress on milestones, etc The tasks themselves, such as the performance reviews and…

PeopleSoft is affordable for existing customers only, not for new customers. The popularity is declining for several reasons. Resources are moving to cloud solutions such as Workday cloud. Even though it is the same Oracle environment, professionals are transitioning due to challenges in availability, scalability, and resource allocation. When there are limited hiring opportunities for a particular technology, professionals must consider switching technologies either internally within their organization or personally. If a project ends and someone is placed on bench without new opportunities, they often need to switch to technologies with more market demand. Currently, resources are frequently moving to other ERP systems such as Workday, SAP, Mulesoft, and Salesforce, as there are numerous ERP systems in the marketplace.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"I would definitely recommend Cornerstone Performance."
"PeopleSoft has been fairly reliable for us; we haven't had any issues with stability."
"I like the speed of the processing and how easy it is to use."
"I would rate scalability a nine out of ten."
"PeopleSoft is mostly used for payroll and core HR functionality. Some customers use it for its finance module."
"The customization and catering to our specific needs have helped, with obvious benefits as the streamlining process is accelerating and it aids me from an auditing perspective since it's all system-driven and cannot be altered."
"It is a very stable ERP solution, supported on Oracle Cloud and providing extensive features such as perfect load balancing and automatic scaling of the ERP deployment to handle millions of users."
"The financial capabilities are great."
"This is a good product and I recommend it, although it depends on the use case for the business."

Cons

"The competency assessment is not as flexible as the rest of the solution features. I would like more options for customization."
"It would be nice if it became even more declarative in its development."
"Having applications which provide more enhanced features and user-friendly elements."
"An area for improvement would be that it's quite difficult to learn how to use this product, and the documentation provided isn't helpful in giving you practical advice."
"Often support just asks people to install a lot of upgrades. Sometimes they don't really give you clear details as to why you need to upgrade. They just say, "You need to upgrade this because there's a newer image, etc". They never really give you the reason underlying why you are having errors."
"If there is another release, they should look at going to mobile computing to stay competitive."
"Initial setup can be complex without training or use of consultants."
"The UI and appearance of People Soft needs a lot of upgrading and modernization."
"I would like to see a better UI."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"There are no additional costs for licensing."

"PeopleSoft has a yearly maintenance fee."
"The product's cost depends on the number of people in your company or the number of paychecks processed. They charge based on these factors, plus a maintenance fee. I'm not sure about current pricing since Oracle took over."
"The licensing cost for PeopleSoft is 3,500 per course and the annual subscription fee is 6,500."
"I would consider this to be an expensive product, but the quality justifies it."
"The main issue we have with the solution is that it is very expensive."
"Yearly payments are to be made toward the licensing costs of PeopleSoft. PeopleSoft is not very expensive, so I feel it is an affordable product."
