Has significantly improved document-driven workflows and reduced processing time across finance and HR functions
Automation Anywhere has evolved significantly and upgraded itself to provide agentic AI and AI-based automation solutions for document automation. The product has matured considerably over time. We can create workflows that can call an API. We can include prompts in particular workflows for ChatGPT-related functions, connecting to an LLM and RAG to perform tasks. For document automation, modern features are available to train documents, ensuring high accuracy and repeatability over time. The system is very easy to use. I recently completed a course in document automation, typically designed for people involved in coding and technical aspects. Though I understand coding comprehensively, I don't do actual coding. The course was very accessible. Currently, extensive coding isn't necessary due to the hybrid model incorporating GenAI aspects, low-code, no-code capabilities, APIs, and numerous pre-built objects in Automation Anywhere. The features include GenAI-driven prompting methods and workflow creation capabilities. In these workflows, we can create decision boxes and call APIs without coding. We simply pull objects, drop them, connect them, and add minimal coding when needed. The most crucial aspect isn't coding but rather sizing the automation and fleshing out the details. Automation Co-pilot takes notes and performs automated analysis. It can extract details from videos, summarize conversations, and provide detailed information. During calls, it identifies instructions and performs tasks such as preparing reports and reconciliation. Automation Anywhere can also connect with Microsoft Co-pilot. Through Co-pilot, real-time operations can be executed, allowing direct interaction between vendors and automation through this component.

Automation has transformed complex contract lifecycles and now supports high-volume workflows
The only drawback of Conga Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) is that it does not work for small-scale business areas because I have implemented it for one customer with four or five pages of templates and three to four record types. For that small business, Conga Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) does not work well because it is a bit complicated. Sometimes all customers need is a click of a button to go in and do things, and Conga Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) is a bit complicated for such kinds of businesses. There are definitely areas where Conga Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) could be easier to use for smaller businesses, particularly making processes more streamlined and user-friendly.

Automated NDA workflows have streamlined contract drafting and approvals for my team
The best features Ironclad offers are that it is very easy to use and very easy to customize; you do not need to be a developer to customize it and to create your own workflows. When I say it is easy to customize, I mean creating the questions and creating the conditions in the template. For example, if you have different businesses and depending on the type of business, you want to customize a document such as an NDA, it is quite easy to do it by yourself inside Ironclad. Ironclad has impacted my organization positively because it is more efficient, allowing us to spend less time on easy tasks and therefore spend more time on more complex tasks. I would estimate 15 to 20% time saved on our side indicates the efficiency gains.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Automation Anywhere IQ Bot is very strong in comparison to other vendors because Automation introduced this intelligent document processing product a long time ago, which is one of its unique features."
"It helps with the speed on improving processes and the results of those processes."
"Automation Anywhere can grow alongside our automation needs."
"Pulling data from web pages using Object Cloning has been an absolute delight."
"The best part about A2019 is its ease of use. You don't need to be a coding champ or an expert to use and implement A2019 in automating tasks. It's very easy to learn, tweak, and implement in your day-to-day tasks, especially features like capture/record is completely marvelous."
"The technical support has been good in my experience. However, you need to use the latest version to get the right level of support. If it is an end-of-life version, you might not get support from Automation Anywhere."
"There are quite a few very strong features available to users."
"The features that help us satisfy the needs of the customer to overcome mundane activities using task bots and meta bots are the most valuable along with the rich controls in the control room. The developer team is able to capture all the necessary steps without much hassle with the visual designer and the ability to test each step of automation has helped in delivering error-free automation to our customer."
"In my experience, the best features of Conga Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) include the way they handle dynamically changing agreements and manage the approvals within the system, which is great."
"The best feature Conga Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) offers is its reliability, which is more dependable compared to Conga Composer, and this main feature allows us to arrange things with more conditions."
"Conga Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) has positively impacted my organization by significantly reducing time consumption compared to other tools, as we can quickly set up Conga per our requirements without needing extensive coding."
"The best features that Conga Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) offers in my experience include the tight integration with Salesforce as the CRM of choice that attracted us to it, and the e-signature feature was very useful as it used the backbone of Adobe to support us."
"Overall, Conga Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) has increased operational efficiency, improved contract turnaround times, and provided greater control over the contract lifecycle."
"Conga Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) has delivered measurable improvements in both time and cost savings for our organization, significantly reducing manual processing time, shortening contract turnaround times from days to hours, minimizing compliance risk, and improving overall operational efficiency and resource utilization."
"The main benefits I have seen from using Conga Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) are that we use it as a discount platform in a huge project for different customers or accounts across the world."
"Conga Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) has positively impacted my organization as it is faster compared to others."
"The best features Ironclad offers are that it is very easy to use and very easy to customize; you do not need to be a developer to customize it and to create your own workflows."

Cons

"The version that we are using has been difficult for us to code. As changes are very frequent, we have to make sure the code can be updated automatically so we don't have to make a change every time a user makes a change. Then, the user doesn't have to update us and we don't have to push a change to production. We have found a workaround with the help of the Automation Anywhere support people for this."
"Excel functionalities, the macro interface can be improved in the next release of RPA platform Automation Anywhere. Functionalities such as maneuvering on the excel worksheets, increased capability to manipulate formulae, and other Excel functionalities will give Automation Anywhere and edge in the RPA platform category since most financial applications use a lot of Excel and macro sheets for their calculations and postings."
"The main request I have for Automation Anywhere is to focus more on technical demonstrations."
"With the PDF command, you can only read structured data. If your data is in an unstructured format, there is no command for it in Automation Anywhere. Then, people need to use Python coding if their data is in unstructured format. Therefore, Automation Anywhere needs to improve in the PDF area."
"AA has many features but the issue is with the loss of overhead on computing resources. For example, if the bot is encrypted, the bot should decrypt it first then act accordingly. If there are issues with the logic in the bot, there will be a lot of computer memory overload. There should be an additional feature for cloud functionality."
"A2019 should have more improvement for developers, as it was in v11.x."
"There are a lot of things that need to be improved, especially related to the Control Room, but you can develop and scale with this tool very, very fast."
"Automation Anywhere can be improved with respect to the user-friendliness of the interface because most of the competitors are now using a flowchart-like structure, thus making it easy for anyone to learn and study it."
"The improvement I would consider is that the UI should be improved, including the colors."
"I have noticed there are very few help articles and knowledge-based documents available, making it a bit tricky for new users to onboard onto the platform."
"Sometimes their support is not very efficient."
"Conga Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) can be improved because, as it is a managed package, it has certain restrictions."
"One challenge is the initial setup and configuration, especially for complex workflows and approval hierarchies."
"I rate Conga Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) a seven due to issues I experience during document generation, specifically when newly generated quotes do not download correctly, causing replication of previous quotes, which can be frustrating and problematic in client interactions."
"Conga Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) is a powerful platform, but there are a few areas where improvements could enhance the user experience."
"I chose a nine because sometimes I feel that opening Conga Composer feels a bit heavy, and occasionally I need to refer to additional documents to complete specific tasks, which is the only reason preventing a perfect score."
"Ironclad can be improved by integrating with artificial intelligence; it does already, but it is not really useful at the moment as it has many bugs and a lot of inaccuracy."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"This solution costs approximately $3,500 USD per license."
"The pricing is fair. My company is part of a big organization, so the pricing is very advantageous."
"We're paying a monthly subscription fee for the bot and for services. There are no additional costs beyond the standard licensing fee."
"Our annual licensing costs for the entire company are $100,000."
"I don't deal have cost specifics but I can say it is a tool that provides value for the money."
"It is the most economically friendly and it provides you with a lot of functions."
"Automation Anywhere's pricing falls within the mid-range, but the long-term benefits outweigh the initial investment."
"Our annual licensing costs are about $500,000."
