Incremental backup simplifies content recovery with beneficial features for email and file services
Almost all the features are valuable for Microsoft 365, specifically signatures and backup for email services and files for Microsoft. It is a full module suitable for any organization. The incremental backup feature is beneficial as it allows me to restore any imaging and filing with just a few clicks, simplifying content recovery after errors occur.

Backup has protected our office data and now restores individual emails while admins configure settings
Although Veeam Data Cloud for Microsoft 365 is a Backup as a Service, it should give slight leverage to the admins to do more of their own configurations. When it comes to Software as a Service, we do need to agree on certain things, as we do not have much control over the software. If Veeam Data Cloud for Microsoft 365 can improve, it would be better. It could be slightly better, but it is acceptable. As long as support is provided in a timely manner, it is good. I cannot tell it is fully bad or fully good. If I were to give a rating of one to five, I might give 3.5 to four. Rather than giving a help database, which is an ocean of information to search through ourselves, we should be able to open a ticket and have them guide us on how to do it. As an end-user, different levels of admins exist—a fresh admin and a more experienced admin. They need to encourage us to open a ticket quickly, and from there they should guide us straightforwardly with the steps to follow to achieve the desired outcome.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The most valuable feature of CodeTwo Backup for Office 365 is its restore functionality."
"Almost all the features of CodeTwo are valuable for Microsoft 365."
"The solution offers ease of configuration. With a wizard, you run through the setup, and everything is configured correctly. Additionally, creating a job is very easy, and overall, the ease of access is excellent. Also, it allows you to use the backups to migrate to another Office 365 environment."
"The tool's porting of targeted sources in CSV was a nice feature. The integration and connection between the tenants were smooth. We could access a template CSV as well."
"Veeam technical support, from my perspective, is one of the best technical support I've ever engaged with."
"The support offered by both Veeam and our third party supplier is excellent."
"I appreciate the feature of having a single tool for backup, replication, and secondary backup; with the same tool, the same job can be extended and configured to meet compliance requirements as per customer needs."
"We are able to store it on various cloud providers such as Amazon S3, Rocket, Azure, and IBM Cloud. It can also do on-premise integration, and we are able to use storage from on-premise. We are also able to recover data. It is a really good and intuitive solution. Veeam has developed a fantastic product. I've never seen anything that I don't like about Veeam. It looks like a very complete solution. It is really mature, simple to use, and quite interrogative. It also has APIs for writing scripts."
"Overall, it's a very good product."
"The most valuable feature is the built-in integration with Office 365, which helps us protect email accounts and servers. We use it on virtual servers on the cloud with Azure, or we can use an agent on physical servers."
"We have seen an ROI, we have been saved from incidents by this solution many times, we've avoided corruption of data, and we are not losing time thinking about how data could be protected."
"Deploying Veeam Data Cloud for Microsoft 365 was very easy. I did the installation by myself, without any help. I spent one day on the installation of the product, and all weeks are working normally."

Cons

"There is room to improve in managing email signatures."
"The customer service and support could be improved. When communicating via email, they sometimes take until late the same day to respond."
"There are two major improvements. First, the UI seems outdated. Second, the tool should support cloud backups. I suggest using Windows Server 2016 or 2019."
"I attempted to modify the XML files in the product's configuration to enhance the speed and efficiency of the process. While the KBs and documentation were well-written, technical aspects related to speed adjustment parameters were unclear."
"Its price could be improved."
"You can't really edit. For example, if you have created a backup for a user, you can't drill down on a granular level during the backup."
"With Veeam for Office 365 for companies that require long-term retention, they often complain about the capacity storage it might take."
"The installation could always be a little bit easier. You do need to be a bit technical."
"They can provide a dashboard for sizing."
"The implementation of this solution needs to be improved."
"Veaam Backup can be confusing for customers when they start trying to understand how to use the product in multiple environments."
"Its price is a little bit high, but it is a fantastic solution."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The tool's pricing was reasonable. I don't remember the amount per mailbox, but the cost seemed fair, considering we had around 300 mailboxes to migrate and needed to do it in a rush over a weekend. We didn't have many choices for people to operate the migration."
"The licensing price is quite high. It's expensive."
"For the number of users and amount of storage you receive, it is not expensive."
"I have a per-user license for the number of users and the mailboxes that I have."
"Veeam Backup for Office 365 is a subscription-based solution."
"We looked at a few cloud options. When we did the comparison, we found it to be a cost-effective solution, and it included everything."
"The cost of Veeam Backup for Office 365 is $19 for one mailbox."
"There is a license required for this solution and we pay annually."
"The pricing model makes this solution more expensive than it needs to be."
