Includes a Grafana dashboard that helps to improve monitoring and reporting
The installation process needs to be improved, and the tool needs a better script. Cloudian HyperIQ runs on Docker containers. Sometimes, the file system gets filled. The tool needs to have separate Docker volumes in the installation script. The documentation for reporting needs to be improved. I am not able to generate reports using it. The alert mechanisms also need to be improved. It should integrate with AI and give more metrics to be taken up next year. We can show the response peak as an improvement to our leadership.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The tool has a very good interface and helps to monitor the nodes and resources. The most valuable feature is the S3 dashboard. It helps in migration, and we can monitor the data for at least three months."
"While some competitors have a feature here or there that might be better on the whole, this is the best solution for us on the market for the dollar with the simplest ramp up and ease of administration."
"Scalability. I have never had to worry about how to handle really big environments."
"It's a great solution for highlighting and discovering useful information regarding our network's elements."
"The reporting capabilities provided important metrics and data that helped in the oversight of our system, network, and overall IT infrastructure, both in terms of applications and hardware."
"Technical support is 10/10; responses to questions are within 20 minutes and the longest time to be resolved was three days."
"It is a very good product, easy to stand up, and a good tool for network engineers."
"The modules and the performance management reports that come with data insights are two of the most valuable features. I also find the reports for Wi-Fi, Netflow, LAN, and WAN for monitoring to be very good."
"SevOne's ability to report metrics on specific objects very quickly, whether it is a week, a month, or a year's worth of data points, has improved by leveraging short-term vs. long-term memory to provide necessary statistics so we can alleviate network impacts quickly."

Cons

"The installation process needs to be improved, and the tool needs a better script. Cloudian HyperIQ runs on Docker containers. Sometimes, the file system gets filled. The tool needs to have separate Docker volumes in the installation script. The documentation for reporting needs to be improved. I am not able to generate reports using it. "User-friendly, multi-tenancy."
"Continual UI improvements are needed to reduce number of clicks needed to produce a chart."
"The GUI: both the dashboard/user view and the admin tool."
"NMS has several areas for improvement. It should be more user-friendly inside of NMS for some of the functionality in there. It's been getting better the last version or two, but the there have been bugs in there whenever I've gone to new versions."
"The reporting of NMS is good, but it could be better."
"I think SevOne can improve by providing more details in their release notes regarding enhancements and changes."
"Every upgrade we've done -- and we've done them all -- have been highly disruptive and extraordinarily difficult."
"This product needs a lot of handholding and close collaboration with network design resources, in terms of choosing the appliance and the number of licenses."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Cloudian HyperIQ's licensing is cheap."
"Choose a SevOne partner who can provide SevOne as a service and can deliver professional services and maintenance."
"The tool is not expensive. We were able to negotiate with SevOne on pricing."
"There are cheaper solutions available."
"The pricing has not evolved with the market, which is one of the reasons we are moving to a new product."
"The pricing has been fair."
"There are different options available for licensing, with the per-device option being more expensive but more flexible."
"A blocking point is the high upfront cost because it is challenging to get it accepted and the purchase approved."
"Have a bank of licenses, because it is about the number of objects (RAM, ports, CPU, etc.)."
