Centralized device management has automated onboarding and improves remote security compliance
One thing I feel Microsoft Intune could improve is troubleshooting visibility. In many cases, when a policy or application deployment fails, the error messages are a bit generic. So, admins still spend time checking logs manually or testing on devices one by one. Compared to the simplicity of deployment, troubleshooting sometimes feels less mature. I also think reporting and real-time monitoring could be stronger. The dashboard gives useful information, but in large environments, many teams still depend on additional tools or scripts for deeper reporting and analytics. If I had to focus on one area first, I would probably choose troubleshooting and reporting. Deployment through Microsoft Intune is generally straightforward, but when something fails, identifying the exact root cause can still take more time than expected. Error messages are sometimes too generic, and admins often have to dig through logs, sync status, or multiple portals to understand what actually happened. I think user experience and policy management could also improve further. Microsoft Intune has become much better over the years, but sometimes the admin portal still feels fragmented because certain configurations open in different sections or redirect to older interfaces. For new admins, especially, it can take time to understand where everything is located. Another thing is policy conflict handling. In larger organizations, multiple device policies, compliance rules, and configuration profiles can overlap. When conflicts happen, the visibility is not always very clear, so admins spend time figuring out which policy actually won or caused the issue.

Improved industrial asset visibility has transformed risk management and compliance monitoring
I think there are some areas of weaknesses in Claroty Platform. The pricing could improve, as some of the features require licensing tiers and therefore the pricing could be higher. Claroty Platform could benefit from simpler licensing and pricing structures. The executive dashboard can improve as well, and they can expand their third-party integration. Additionally, their predictive AI-driven recommendations can be improved. I think it does provide for very good behavior analysis through AI capabilities and risk prioritization, which is generally quite trustworthy. As the capability of AI enhances, I think it can provide for better risk recommendations. Claroty Platform can have a better and simpler licensing arrangement. Their third-party integrations can expand. They can have better executive dashboards and more AI-driven predictive risk recommendations. I would rate them an eight for these reasons. Dashboards, licensing, integrations, and AI-driven recommendations are areas for improvement. Probably one more to add is that they can have better and more enhanced automated remediation workflows.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The mobile application management, MAM, is the most useful aspect of the solution."
"We are transforming our flat network by adopting different cloud solutions, and our own applications are hosted in the cloud. Intune ensures our security throughout our entire cloud-based system, improving our security posture."
"It works pretty well for us."
"For our clients, the conditional access feature along with different compliance policies that they can set is valuable."
"My advice for those implementing Microsoft Intune is to proceed with it; there is no other software that can perform the job better, and Microsoft offers extensive experience with a mature ecosystem, so I recommend going for it."
"The best features of Microsoft Intune include continuous implementation of new capabilities each year, covering almost everything."
"Microsoft Intune has saved me about 30% of my time through streamlined processes and efficient resource management."
"Intune's security features for Apple iOS and Mac OS are helpful. We can check enrollment, manage public and private settings, and manage the organization's data using security key features."
"The product helps mitigate potential threats, especially if its users have signature rules. The product also provides alerts."
"Claroty is very beneficial for learning and adds value to your resume."
"I like how the tool does passive and active discovery and threat detection and shows risks, recommendations, and vulnerabilities. It gives risk scores and gathers everything in one place - IP, device name, etc. We can integrate it with other tools for overall network mapping. It's useful for audits, compliance, and monitoring of all devices in the industry. It provides both monitoring and control. We also have SRA for incident response, which lets us search all alerts if we deploy the Claroty Platform."
"After implementation of Claroty Platform, the visibility goes up to one hundred percent, which otherwise was probably in the range of 60 to 70 percent, and this really has a lot of business impact on security, compliance, and operations."
"I appreciate the active coding, deep inspection of packages, and data retrieval. The tool covers information about assets and attack vectors, which I find superior to other tools. Based on alerts, I create reports detailing how an attacker can penetrate the plant, both externally and internally."
"Our different execution team is there to handle it, but overall, the product is pretty easy to deploy and integrate with the existing system."
"The tool's best feature was the UI and the simplicity it offers."
"Claroty identifies all vulnerabilities available in our environment."
"The most valuable part of N-able Take Control is being able to remotely access your customer's site. You are able to view their network. Once you have it set up, it's always available. N-able Take Control can be used even when other remote access controls have been made."
"Take Control enables you to collaborate with end users. It's for supporting a workstation where you want the person on the other side to see you moving their mouse, and you can work with them."
"N-able Take Control has saved me a lot of time driving back and forth to the customer's site."

Cons

"The worst aspect is the reporting."
"There have been instances where enrolling devices should take 10 minutes but ends up taking an hour due to various issues."
"There could be more competent processes and improvements in the policy space."
"Management of Linux devices from Microsoft Intune would be great. Then we can manage any device and not only Windows and Apple."
"This limitation in Microsoft Intune is a significant drawback; we cannot produce overall reports on an organizational level."
"The support from Microsoft was previously good, but now it is very poor."
"Without changing it, you cannot deploy it, so that's a limitation from the Microsoft Intune side."
"Microsoft Intune needs to support out of the box Apple Managed Device and Apple Business Managed Device with zero-touch deployment capabilities, which is something competitors provide."
"The product could be improved in terms of user interface design."
"The graphical user interface is quite poor."
"I think the only issue is that the hardware Claroty uses is expensive."
"Claroty Platform only gives the vulnerabilities based on the make and model of the devices, so it doesn't provide any resolution or any detailed explanation of how one can resolve such issues."
"If more AI features could be included with the Clarity solution, it would be feasible for everybody."
"The product's integration capabilities are an area of concern where improvements are required."
"More modularity would be helpful for Claroty Platform to improve its competitiveness."
"There is room for improvement in the user interface to make it more vibrant and interactive, similar to IT tools. Improvements could also be made in the Secure Remote Access (SRA) user interaction and graphical representations of recordings."
"The dashboards I do not use because there are issues. The solution monitors your antivirus and other programs but it does not seem to work well."
"We've seen some latency problems in AWS environments. Aside from that, it's a pretty solid service."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"It is not a cheap solution. The price for a device when you start using it at a large scale can be improved. It is covered under our enterprise agreement. We pay once a year. I am not aware of any additional costs."
"There is a cost benefit of using Microsoft Intune because of the packaging with other Microsoft products."
"It is cheap, but as compared to Google, it is costly. Google is cheaper, but quality-wise, Microsoft Intune is better."
"We have the business premium licenses for the solution."
"The pricing for Intune and the competitor products are all within the same range, there is no true advantage when it comes to cost."
"It comes as a bundle, so you do not really know what the prices are. Microsoft does not break it down to the user cost for us. It is just bundled with our E5 license."
"The pricing is not cheap, especially with inflation. They've had to increase their prices. It's not excessive, but alright."
"The pricing is good because customers are not complaining about it."
"The tool is quite expensive."
"It's a bit expensive compared to other solutions."
"The licensing for physical devices is cheap, but the software version is expensive. The software version costs around 26-28 dollars. I was surprised and even double-checked. It was shocking."
"N-able Take Control charges you a monthly fee for every customer that you have booked in, and it used to be inexpensive but it's a little bit more expensive now."
