Improved network security with real-time threat detection and alert system
There is room for improvement in Check Point Infinity as I encounter some glitches in its interface. Sometimes, the data utilization report does not show up in Check Point Infinity GUI, necessitating me to reach out to their support team, who typically indicates firmware issues that require new installations. This process can be frustrating, and I feel it should be addressed to enhance user experience. The customer support needs enhancement as well. When I log a ticket, they often take a long time to resolve the issue, with some tickets remaining unresolved for over six months. This duration is unacceptable, and it definitely needs to change; however, aside from that, everything else is satisfactory with Check Point Infinity.

The appliance is ready to integrate with the cloud in cases where the customers have a hybrid or cloud environment.
The go-between is a Veritas partner, so the customer support was not that good. The solution is fine except when there is a purchasing crisis where you have to remake the ecosystem. It causes a lot of issues. The support was a problem, but we're okay with it as long as we have someone to communicate with.

"Veritas is loaded with features because the appliance is ready to integrate with the cloud in cases where the customers have a hybrid or cloud environment."
"The automated recovery feature of Veritas Alta SaaS Protection makes the recovery much easier, as opposed to earlier methods where we were using scripts to do the restore."
"The most valuable feature is that it is simple to use."

Cons

"We need improvement around the Smart-1 cloud solution."
"In the future, I would like to see new developments that allow us to centralize the cloud."
"The cost of maintaining and purchasing the security components is high."
"One of the main improvements that can be made is the latency in the portal."
"We have had some performance issues. Because of this, we had to redirect traffic to be analyzed by other appliances."
"I think that the pricing for the Check Point products should be reconsidered, as we found it to be quite expensive to purchase and to maintain."
"The tool can be improved in terms of maintainability and flexibility, especially as companies grow larger. In these aspects, I feel Veeam is better for cloud and operational purposes."
"The solution does lack a lot of features, and we're considering switching."
"In the future, we would like to see support for virtualized machines."
"The backup reports and the dashboard need improvement."
"Currently, it isn't possible to use anything other than Veritas cloud to back up to. I think today it's important to cover the three major cloud provider: GCP, Azure and AWS."
"The technical team wasn't very helpful."
"The implementation could be improved. The server setup is very easy, but some specific client implementation, for example, Oracle or SQL servers, are a little bit complicated. they should offer a bit more assistance with the setup for these particular items."
"They should review the cost aspect of the subscription for Veritas Alta SaaS Protection because customers are going for the cheaper storage, which doesn't give those features in terms of dedup ratios."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The pricing of Check Point Infinity could be better. There is a license needed to use the solution and we pay annually."
"The flexibility in pricing is advantageous, and being a special partner allows for negotiating special rates based on the project requirements."
"Check Point should provide an enterprise-wide license where the organization should be provided free hand of using any license or services for an agreed period of time (EULA)."
"The solution's price is quite high, and the licensing model requires extra licenses for various features like SD-WAN."
"When it comes to price, the paramount consideration is the strength of the security. If the security measures provided by the product, such as Check Point Infinity, are robust and meet our requirements, price becomes a secondary concern."
"Choosing the correct set of licenses is essential because, without the additional software blade licenses, the Check Point gateways are just a stateful firewall."
"I rate the product's price a six on a scale of one to ten, where one is cheap, and ten is expensive."
"The product has good pricing considering the features and a global approach."
"The tool is expensive compared to Veeam."
"SaaS Backup isn't the most expensive solution."
"This solution is not cheap and not expensive but priced in the mid-range."
"The program is quite expensive."
"I would rate this solution's pricing as five out of five."
