Has reduced phishing threats and provided better visibility through detailed dashboards and logging
One thing I noticed with Check Point Anti-Spam and Email Security Software Blade is that without configuring the MTA or transfer agent, it cannot work fully. The MTA feature has significant resource needs, and without it, we cannot use the full-fledged features of Anti-Spam and Email Security Blades. Its dependency on MTA is substantial. I chose 8 out of 10 for Check Point Anti-Spam and Email Security Software Blade because of the MTA dependency feature. Disabling MTA is problematic as it is very important for deploying this solution. If you want full content scanning or threat extraction and emulation, you have to enable MTA to work effectively.

Stable, easy to scale, and has anti-spam and anti-spyware features, but support needs to be faster and more knowledgeable
I've contacted Forcepoint Email Security support, but I'm not satisfied with the answer speed. It could be a lot faster. I also get more answers on the internet than from the technical support team, so Forcepoint Email Security needs more knowledgeable support. On a scale of one to five, my rating for the technical support of Forcepoint Email Security is three.

Pros

"Check Point Anti-Spam and Email Security Software Blade provides an extra level of security against threats and malware along with 2FA support for multiple platform collaboration and integrations in a single click."
"I like the flexible configuration set, e.g. both the content-based and the IP reputation anti-spam are supported, but you may choose to disable the mechanism you don't like."
"By drastically reducing the volume of spam and unwanted emails, employees can focus more on their work rather than sorting through cluttered inboxes. This leads to improved productivity and efficiency within the organization."
"It has provided us with an easy way to avoid invasive mail."
"It refreshes the dynamic database regularly to ensure IP addresses that no longer misbehave are not blocked by mistake."
"One of the standout features of the product is a significant reduction in false positives, achieved through the implementation of artificial intelligence for detecting malware, phishing attempts, and spam emails."
"Check Point Anti-Spam & Email Security software is a modern-day solution for security management and data scrutiny."
"It's a fairly old solution, however, that has been updated over time to become one of the best manufacturers of security solutions."
"The email and the web filter aspects of the solution are the most valuable features."
"We have found the product to be stable."
"The most valuable features of Forcepoint Email Security are the integration with other solutions. It provides a more secure infrastructure and views for the customers from the DLP. You can work on URLs, files, and advanced inspections that will protect the customers."
"It's easier to deploy than other options."
"Unlike other competitors, it doesn't cause any performance issues."
"The Forcepoint Email Security roadmap easily integrates with the data loss prevention (DLP) suite of Forcepoint. Therefore, the customer doesn't have to buy another solution for DLP."
"Using Forcepoint, we have created policies and rules for any suspicious mail. It is blocked and only released by an admin's approval."
"All of the filtering features are very nice."

Cons

"If you face any configuration problems, Check Point is the only solution."
"They should upgrade support services and make a more user-friendly database."
"A major area for improvement is within some of the heavily discounted software blade add-ons on top of the current Next Generation Threat Prevention and SandBlast and Next Generation Threat Prevention offerings."
"While we often take advantage of Check Point's cloud part, including Infinity or Harmony, I would like to see products that directly deal with mobile or native environments or other operating systems that we have within the organization."
"One area where Check Point Anti-Spam and Email Security Software Blade can be improved is the knowledge base configuration."
"The solution could be improved by reducing false positives."
"The UX/UI could be more friendly."
"It does not provide for standalone configuration on the security gateway. Instead, you need to have a management server/smart console for managing it."
"Technical support is lacking. It could be a lot better."
"It would be better if it were simpler to deploy on one or two machines instead of three or four machines."
"Forcepoint is the best for DLP, but it is not better than other solutions in terms of phishing emails or threat protections on the email. It has less visibility over there. They might need to enhance these components because other solutions, such as Cisco Email Security and IronPort, have more advanced features. Forcepoint should focus more on threats and spam. They have a small database for spam. They must increase their solution's capability from this perspective."
"I would like for deployment to be simplified."
"The pricing could always be just a little bit better."
"The reporting functionality needs to be improved, as it is not customizable."
"This solution could be improved by providing further functionality to reduce or to block ransom attacks, cross-site scripting and man-in-the-middle attacks."
"Customer support could be better."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"For licensing, my company makes yearly payments, which is expensive."
"I rate the pricing as an eight on a scale of one to ten, where one is cheap and ten is expensive."
"I rate the product pricing a seven out of ten."
"The cost is competitive with other security products on the market."
"This is a simple system with a very low cost and basic functions, which surely is ideal for a small company."
"Reasonably priced solution."
"Choosing the correct set of licenses is essential because, without the additional software blade licenses, the Check Point gateways are just a stateful firewall."
"There are three types of support licenses."
"Licensing is a yearly subscription that is based on the number of users."
"Its licensing is quite easy and straightforward. They have two or three suites, and the price is negotiable. It depends upon the size of the deal. They have multiple licenses. The standard is one, and then there are additional licenses that you can go for. There are three or four licensing models. You have the network suite, endpoint suite, email security, and the standard one."
"My company pays for Forcepoint Email Security licensing annually."
"When compared to other email security solutions, the price is not cheap."
"The licensing is user base (per user). The product is purchased mostly by medium to large companies. For smaller companies, we have other solutions because the pricing is not cheap."
